I have always loved Target. Yet, even with Amazon growing ..and me growing older I still go on shopping at Target. However, on Saturay about 1 pm, I had an awful experience. I cannot see very very well and I bought 4 blackberries items (buy one and get one free). I went through the self check out. It showed a UFO discount of 1 $ and 1 blackberries for free. So, I called the “assistant” who looked impatient and pissed off , and said “do not you see all is ok?”. The receipt was about $32. I looked again (it took me one minute) and then I called her again. She came , even more pissed off than before, the amount was reduced of the missing blackberries discount and it came down to about $25. I said “thanks” but I did not want to see her (and that Target) anymore. I went on by myself and …for unknown reasons the machine stopped saying something like “attendant on the way” I felt ashamed and scared as she had been very unpatient to me. She came, even more pissed off, and said “this is your lucky day” as she unblocked my payment. I saw another discount had been applied and the total was about $23 now. What I want to say is just : “ we can currently buy everything online, even delivered in one day , but we still come there. If you are not patient with older people….. why should we still come there ? Only to see people “bothered” by us being there ?”. By the way I paid less than $25 while initially my amount to pay was $32…… this is not good …..dear Target...
Read moreMy mom and I came in to check out car seats and strollers. I am visibly pregnant. I checked online and this location had the most in-store items, that’s why we came to this location specifically. All the strollers and car seats are zip tied together. You cannot test a stroller by rolling it, you cannot test how easy is it to click a car seat into its base or into the stroller. We came ready to drop $300+ on a stroller and car seat... Manager told us there was no way he was snipping the ties so we could fully test the strollers and seats. First he mentioned a safety concern. We replied we don’t have a baby yet to put into the seat, so no prob. Then he mentioned a theft concern. So, stay with us if you think we’re gonna make a break for it. Nope, that apparently was not an option. Just a flat No. No offer to set a time to come in when someone could stay with us (would have been so helpful to have a knowledgeable sales person to show us different models and how to use them!!) Really really sucked that I looked online to see where in store models were, and I changed an appointment in order to come look at these items with my mom, and we were not treated like customers who want to spend money, but like we were unreasonable and a hassle. Store policy is not law- it’s up to the discretion of the manager. He chose not to be at all flexible or accommodating. 35 weeks pregnant over here,...
Read moreThe late night manager, or at least the woman in charge of locking up, was extremely rude with no cause for such behavior. I've worked in the service industry, actually as a grocery store cashier, and I would never have engaged with a customer as she did. That being said, the cashiers and other workers have been kind, so I'm giving a couple stars due to their wonderful service.
I had to make a last-minute purchase. I knew where the item was, but I was still respectful of the time. That being said, the entrance doors were still open when I arrived, so I continued through and was rudely greeted by who I think is the late night manager.
She kept telling me they close in a few minutes. I said I knew and that I was going to make a quick purchase. I tried to clarify the location of the item to double check (it's electronics, so there's only one place it could be), and she rudely cut me off, said "yeah, sure," and that, again, they close in a few minutes. I understand trying to deter last-minute customers, but immediately assuming a rude attitude will only serve to deter ALL customers.
Despite the delay she caused, I was out of the door by closing time, before earlier arrivals even. I just moved to the area and have already made a few purchases at this Target since it's close, but interactions like this are...
