I am writing to formally address an ongoing issue concerning an unauthorized service that was added to my Verizon account without my consent.
In June 2024, my wife visited one of your store locations to request assistance with a phone issue. During her visit, the employee, Chris, accessed our family account using our phone number. Without informing her, Chris proceeded to add a $10/month 100GB Hotspot service to our account. I was only made aware of this when I received an email notification confirming the addition of the service.
When I contacted Verizon Corporate about this matter, I was told that Chris had indeed added the service. I subsequently spoke with Chris at the store along with the representative at Verizon via recorded call, and Chris's only explanation was that he added the service in exchange for resolving my wife’s phone issue, stating that this was part of how he earned his commission. This unauthorized addition of services without our explicit consent is completely illegal and unethical.
Since June, I have repeatedly contacted Verizon to have the unauthorized charge removed from my bill. While I have been credited for the charge each month, the service itself remains active on my account, and Verizon Corporate has been unable to permanently remove it. This ongoing situation is entirely unacceptable.
I kindly request that this matter be escalated and resolved immediately. The service must be removed from my account, and I expect confirmation that no further charges will be incurred moving forward. This type of behavior from your employees is unacceptable, and I trust that Verizon will take the appropriate actions to ensure this issue is rectified.
I look forward to your prompt response and resolution, or I will have to press legal actions.

Read moreI recently upgraded my old iPhone 8 to a new iPhone 16 at Verizon Russell Cellular at Furlong Dr. in Revere. The associate who helped me was Kevin. I told him I wanted an iPhone 16. He gave me a pretty decent trade-in value for my old iPhone. But what really impressed me was that he didn’t try to sell the most expensive phone and showed me the most economical and lowest costing plans. I told him I wanted the big 16 Pro Max with the most memory, 1tb, and he actually asked me if I really needed all those bells and whistles because the less expensive models could pretty much do what I wanted.
