Since I have attempted to reach out to Choice Hotels various times to no avail, I believe my only other option would be to post my feedback to Google so that others are aware of the conditions at this hotel. My husband and I have been regulars at this hotel for years (back when it was Fairfield) and recently stayed for two nights (7/20, 7/21).
Unlike our experiences in the past, this one was absolutely unacceptable.
Most upsetting condition was when we arrived on the first night, we saw MICE in our hotel room. I believe it was 429. When we went downstairs, an obviously overwhelmed front desk employee offered to refund the night and move us to a different room. We were hoping for assistance in searching for alternative lodging for the night, but didn't receive any as the employee was already making calls for another guest that was in the lobby. For a busy Friday night, the desk was clearly understaffed.
We were unable to find another room at a similar rate so we got a new room, directly above it at 529, (which was still way too close to the mice for my comfort).
At this point it was approximately 1:00am, I was exhausted and I had my bridal hair and makeup trial the next morning, followed by an entire day of celebrating with my friends and family. Spending the night at the Quality Inn was the first step in a weekend that was supposed to be fun and enjoyable, but the first night already got it off to a poor start.
Furthermore- the room we were moved to was also in an unacceptable condition. The wall art was taken down, yet the hardware was still up. It just looked like a cheap motel. The sink was cracked, the door stopper was broken as well (with bare hardware hanging on the wall), and there were stains on the bathroom floor. Our toilet overflowed on the next morning. Just countless signs of negligence/poor maintenance.
When we went down for breakfast, everything from coffee station to chairs was absolutely filthy. Just shows a lack of respect and consideration for guests. The ceiling in the hallway (5th floor) next to the elevator was leaking.
After many years of having this hotel be our go-to, I no longer feel comfortable staying at Quality Inn Revere, or recommending it to friends and family. Although we were refunded for the night that we saw the rodents, I regret paying anything at all for...
Read moreThis was the worst experience i have ever had. Every member of the staff I encountered was rude and downright nasty. It must come from the top down because the manager was a horrible little man. From the minute we checked in he was behind the counter berating his employees publicly and complaining about guests. I should have known what we were in for. After that every encounter with staff was a terrible experience. I asked one of the employees if they had an atm machine, without making any eye contact she said " i dont know" and walked away. The phone in our room didnt work when i reported it at the front desk I was met with eye rolling, huffing and puffing and comments under breath I dont even want to know what they were. we were there 3 days. on the second day i was told there was a problem with our credit card, I went down to the desk and was told loudly in a crowded lobby that " your card is no good". I asked for a key to my room to go get my wallet and was told " not until i updated my payment" !! I said I need to get my wallet and was told i wasnt allowed back in my room. Apparently all of my belongings were being held hostage. I was astonished. Luckily I was able to get the service number for my debit card on my phone and found that the hotel had inverted the numbers of the CVV code. There NOTHING wrong with my card it was the incompetence of the employee behind the desk. After a few more instances of disrespect, rudeness and unprofessionalism our last night came. Earlier that day I filed a complaint at the front desk about the service we had experienced. When the horrible little manager man came in and found out we filed a complaint he appeared at our room door banging. When I ansered he had a beat red face and told me "you are leaving this hotel; NOW" Inshock i asked him to repeat himself. He told me he didnt have to explain himself and we were to leave or he would call the police. It was now night time and snowing outside but we left. infuriated, tired and still actualy in shock of what we experienced. I would warn anyone to NOT go to the Quality Inn in Revere Ma. at all costs. I would suggest to stay literaly anywhere else at any cost. This hotel needs to replace all of its customer service employees especially the angry...
Read moreI've recently come from breakfast and I'm quite upset. Yesterday my husband and I raved about the breakfast. Today that was not the case.
Breakfast is scheduled to conclude at 9:30. At 9:00 there was only one sad looking donut, no muffins and only a few bagels. Also, we had to get water on a napkin to wipe off our own table.
While waiting for a waffle to cook, I watched a man wait at the doorway to the prep area and he finally spoke up and said, Excuse me. Are there more bagels?. I heard the breakfast attendant reply to him with, You'll have to wait, sir. Adding "sir" to the end of a sentence does not make it polite!!
I searched for syrup for my waffle and didn't find any. Again, the attendant was nowhere to be found. My husband went to the doorway as the other man had done. He waited as the other man had done and finally had to speak up to be acknowledged and he asked for syrup. The attendant told him to wait(she was counting/sorting cutlery). He asked it it was somewhere he could get it himself ( since his breakfast and mine were both getting cold) and she said, No. When she was done doing her task she went to the top bowl and called my husband over to point out that the syrup was there. There were 2 or three containers in the bowl that neither of us had seen. Perhaps the attendant could have directed my husband as to where to look instead of making him wait.
When we were leaving the breakfast area we stopped for a cup of coffee. The breakfast attendant stared us down the whole time. So much so that I felt uncomfortable and threatened. I'm already dreading her at breakfast tomorrow.
We are Choice Privilege members and have been exclusively staying at Choice hotels for several years now. We are respectful of staff, tip our room attendants and have enjoyed courteous service on a regular basis. This behavior today was completely out of line and unacceptable from anyone working in the...
