I stayed for one night on July 5th with my wife and our 1-year-old baby. The booking process is through Campspot, but the way they show your spot number is a little confusing, as are the email instructions. There is no office on site, even though there is a trailer home at the entrance that looked like it might be an office. Apparently, that’s a private home, and I mistakenly tried to go in (silly me).
I called and texted a few times for help but didn’t get a reply right away. After a few minutes, I figured out my spot number myself and proceeded. Later, the owner called me back, was very nice, apologetic, and helpful, and offered me a free upgrade and a 25% discount on my stay.
The place itself is clean and organized. Everything looks new and works fine. There is plenty of room to ride a bike, and the location is very convenient, with local businesses within walking distance.
One thing to note: this campsite is in Riverside, OH, though it doesn’t say that clearly anywhere. We thought it was Dayton, OH, where fireworks are illegal, and that was our expectation. In the evening, very loud explosive fireworks started coming from a neighboring house at 3331 Spicewood Dr, Riverside, OH 45424, scaring our baby. When I called the police, I found out Riverside allows fireworks until 11 p.m. (though I think these were illegal types anyway). They didn’t stop at 11 p.m. My windows were literally shaking from the explosions, and the police said, “We only have three cars,” so they couldn’t help. Luckily, the fireworks stopped before 1 a.m., and we were finally able to fall asleep.
Overall, sometimes small details matter, but the campground itself was clean and the owner was kind and responsive once she...
Read moreThis is a nice, no-frills RV park for an overnight stop or if visiting the area for a few nights. We had no problem getting our 40 ft. motorhome with toad through the campground or into our spot. Sites were level, well-marked and we had no issues with the hook-ups. The campground has privacy fencing that separates it from the mobile home community as well as from Valley Pike. There’s no bath house, laundry, pool, etc., but they do have a nice dog park. The pull-through sites are now open, but call for availability. They didn’t show as an option on the booking site, but when I called to ask a question, Shelby checked and saw that she could get me a pull-through for the night which helped...
Read moreWhat an awesome hiding gem! We were visiting family in Dayton and needed to find a good place to park our RV while staying with family! I happen to find Green Valley RV Park, and boy it was absolutely perfect, safe, roomy, easy access in and out! I called to get information and availability and my call was returned promptly by a kind, informative lady! The park is very clean, has full hookups and close to everything. It’s very close to National Museum of the United States Air Force a must do if you’re in the area! So I would highly suggest Green Valley RV Park if your traveling through the area and they are located at 3324 Valley Pike,...
