After doing my research I found the Super 8 by Wyndham Riviera Beach West Palm Beach received mostly 3-star reviews. I was expecting much and since it was only a one-night stay after scuba diving all day, it seemed fine. Boy was I wrong.||Shortly after arriving at 545 pm, the red flags started flying. While the lobby appeared to be nice, the doors were lock and I was directed to a bank teller window with bullet proof glass. (Red Flag #1). Checking in was easy and I got my room card and went to my room. There was a seedy-looking teen standing on the balcony watching me that gave me the creeps. (Flag #2) I attempted to open my room but could not. It appeared to be locked from the inside. I went back to the desk and the attendant came to the room and had to yank on the door to get it open (Flag # 3). I stepped inside and was hit with the reek of marijuana odor. The walls had spots of primer paint as if being repaired and a large area of crumbling drywall behind the door that needed repair. I mistakenly went into the bathroom. The tub had many stains and what appeared to be cigarette burns on it. (Flag #4). ||I again returned to the office attendant, told him what I found and asked for another room. He stated I’ll let housekeeping know (Flag #5) and he gave me a different room card. I went to that room. The seedy-looking individual was now sitting downstairs on the curb watching. (Flag #6). ||I stepped into the new room and at first glance it appeared fine. Took two steps in and saw some red stains on the carpet, A sticker on the TV warning of it being alarmed if it was moved, No USB ports anywhere (Flag #7). I really needed a shower and some sleep so I pushed past all of this. Stepping into the shower and found more cigarette type burns on the tub. (Flag #8). I quickly showered the now crusting salt from diving, grabbed my stuff and left, telling the attendant this place is gross, and I can’t stay here. Dropped the key in the box and left quickly to find someplace else.||As a retired Law Enforcement Office with 37 years’ experience, I can say without a doubt, this is a drug and prostitute den. I am shocked IHG has not closed this place down. I have been a loyal IHG member for many years and am seriously considering a Never...

Read moreDo NOT stay here! The room was filthy. All floors were caked with dirt & hair, bathtub & toilet were dirty, microwave too dirty to use, mirrors had dust all over them, the door would not close properly & you could see daylight in cracks when closed. there was a white pasty substance on dresser. There were water leaks in the ceiling. The absolute worst was trying to sleep in the bed. The horrific smell of urine was so bad that I tried to put towels down to block the smell. After the first night, I tried the other bed, hoping it would be better. It was NOT! The urine smell was so bad that the smell stayed in my nostrils for hours after leaving the room. The floors were so bad that I also put towels down so I could walk on them so my feet would not touch the filth. I attempted to speak with the manager after the first night, who just told me "I'm just a manager, you have to talk to owner". I was told the owner would be there the next day at 4pm. I came back to talk to him; he was not there, and I got zero help. After being there for 3 nights, I'd never had such a horrific experience and lack of caring by management. When checking out early in the morning (approximately 6am), there was no one around! You can only communicate via a small window, similar to a fast-food drive thru. The lobby is completely shut down and locked. While trying to check out, I waited a few minutes, and no one ever came so I left. I want a refund for my stay but doubt I will get it!! This place is also in a very bad area, with a lot of coming and going of sketchy individuals. It's a very scary place for a woman staying there alone. I would NEVER recommend this...
