The staff was not very welcoming. Booked a stay for several nights and the room was not cleaned had to request for full service only to return to the room and nothing was done. When staff was asked about the service to the room everyone looked confused as to why the service wasn't done. Housekeeper was very rude and acted as if it was a bother to provide the service that was paid in full. Had to request for my trash to be taking out and bathroom to be cleaned . Payment was non refundable and was only offered a clean room after my third night there and when asked what services did I pay for if I have to make the bed take my trash out and deal with a refrigerator that was not keeping my drinks cold and was not balanced as if it was gonna fall over. I paid for a stay of one week for a job in the area. Staff was rude and upon changing my room4 doors down from where I was originally. Housekeeper makes smart remark as she walked pass the room as if I was not a paying guest and only wanted the services they offered and promoted. The new room they gave me the refrigerator didn't get cold. After getting no where with the staff I checked out of the place to find another place with better service to complete my job in the area. This place needs better staff that communicates with their coworkers as to what services they provide and a better welcoming experience for travelers. I wouldn't recommend this place if your staying there for a short time for work. They act like they are doing you a favor when you are paying for a service that they claim to provide. The rates change each time you redo your stay and it's just overall not very clean. Floors are sticky and the bathroom door do not close properly. I definitely didn't get what I paid for which was a big inconvenience after such a good recommendation . Very disappointed but I guess the 2 star rating should have said...
Read moreA few years ago this was a Motel 6. Look at google street view. It was a little tricky to get to it from the road. Before the intersection you turn into the parking lot, it is signed, and work yourself to the left and you’ll see it. Parking lot is a little rough shape.
The place was recently refurbished but way more is needed. The hallways do have new carpet and walls and ceiling were painted and looked nice. The exterior door at the end of the building closest to the room was well worn. New paint but the bottom of this steel door was rusted away.
The room was not bad. It still had the laminate flooring from its motel 6 days but clean. Walls and bathroom had new paint. The desk and dresser (for the TV) looked fairly new. The bathroom had a new granite top, new sink and faucet but the faucet was lose. Wasn’t tightened enough on the hot side. Toilet was old, looked clean but the flush handle was old and corrosion. If should have been replaced. The shower bathtub was the typical one piece plastic unit that are in thousands of motel rooms. It was has a coating sprayed on it that gave it a likdnew appearance. The room and bathroom did not have any trash cans. I went to the desk and the women at the desk took the one from under her desk. She did clean it out and placed new plastic bag in it. The bedding had all new sheets and bed spreads (two double beds).
The people at the desk were polite. Just note there is no breakfast bar but it does not advertise. It does have a coffee bar. Across the street is a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. The place was clean and for $65 for the night I had no complaints, just seemed like...
Read moreI am writing to share my experience during my recent stay at the Red Roof Inn in Roanoke Rapids, which I believe is imperative for the management team to consider seriously.
As an experienced traveler, I have stayed in numerous hotels across the country; however, my experience at your establishment was regrettably the worst I have encountered.
First and foremost, the level of service provided was disappointingly subpar. The staff were not accommodating, and requests for assistance seemed to be met with indifference. Furthermore, I was dismayed to find that there was inadequate space for dogs to relieve themselves, which is vital for pet owners looking for a convenient place to stay.
Most troubling was the maintenance of the facilities. Upon entering my bathroom, I was alarmed to discover black mold growing on the ceiling. This not only indicates a lack of proper cleaning but also poses serious health risks to guests.
To add insult to injury, I often had to navigate through dog waste left in the hallways, reflecting a lack of respect for both cleanliness and the comfort of your guests. Such conditions are unacceptable in any hotel.
Given these experiences, I regret to say that I cannot recommend the Red Roof Inn in Roanoke Rapids to fellow travelers seeking a pleasant and safe environment. I sincerely hope that immediate improvements will be made to address these issues, ensuring a better experience for future guests.
Thank you for your attention to...
