If I could give this place a negative star, I would. If I could give the front desk stars, I would give them a 5. First off, we had a very late check in, so I'm assuming they didn't have a room available for us, so they put us in a room through the employee only area above the lobby. It was a sketchy, unmarked room in the attic. Open the door and to our surprise, it is a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. Ok, cool. But it was beyond filthy. The carpets weren't vacuumed, urine on the toilet, dishes in the cupboard unwashed, hair on the bathroom floor, countertops had food on them, cigarette burns on the furniture (non smoking room), toothpaste on the faucet...sigh. Because we checked in so late, we decided to stay the night. We did our morning thing and went about our day. When we came back to our room that afternoon, it was clear housekeeping had been in to clean our room, but I'm certain all they made up were the beds. The cups weren't washed, they certainly didn't vacuum and the shaving cream that dropped in to the tub when I was shaving in the morning was still there. As was the hair on the bathroom floor. We opted to leave, packed our bags and requested a refund. They were very accommodating on that front. So if you care more about front desk customer service than cleanliness, this is your place.

Shannon has been nothing but a kind caring pleasure to assist me while my stay at this establishment. Giving excellent information about the area as well as providing a professional opinion regarding surrounding restaurants and activities. Rooms are very clean, furniture may be a little outdated. Pet friendly but with deposit per pet. Will definitely stay again.

This place is not suitable for children. Told directly to me by the manager Scott... It's dangerous and the staff is very rude and unhelpful. Never coming back. This is the air conditioner that doesn't even work... Was here 2 weeks.

I've visited this place numerous amounts of times and it was because we always get the double room. But this visit...we got the single room because we felt it wasn't needed to have two beds. The double room was cheaper the first couple times but during our summer visit the single was the cheapest. But anyway, I'm giving this 3 stars because on the 1st couple days I was going back and fourth trying to get the right remote to control the tv. It was a insignia tv, in fact I think most of their rooms have flat screen tvs so they should only have the remotes to those tvs right? Wrong? They had tv remotes to box tvs because sometimes customers would take their remotes for themselves a.k.a stealing them. So my advice for whoever is reading this is make sure that you have the correct remote upon arrival to your room. Secondly, during the mid week of our stay our pizza boxes and fast food bags were piling up so I took down the "privacy please" sign and swapped it for the "more towels" sign and as the day passed there was no house keeping like they guy had told us "Daily Housekeeping"...if you're lucky. it felt like the single rooms didnt get as much attention as the double rooms but thats just me. Thirdly; the staff are kind, i mean some of em talk to you like they know you even though they don't, and then try to make light of the situation by joking. If they come off as rude or anything just let them know. It feels like some of them dont really care about their job and are just there for the paycheck...welcome to rockford youll get that a lot. Trust me. It took me 4 years of high school to realize this. And lastly, I enjoyed my stay but the random banging in the middle of the night(not the banging you're thinking of) kinda made it hard to sleep or take a nap. So my suggestion to those trying to sleep, put on a pair of headphones or earplugs. Or if you're like me, fall asleep listening to ASMR. Trust me it works. We didnt get housekeeping till after our stay where we were rushed to check out almost immediately but we were kindly given an hour to get ourselves together whilst waiting for our ride. And that's that. My honest review so Google could leave me alone. I recommend getting a double room. Its more worth it than getting a single. Thanks for reading if you made it this far. Hope you, if you do get a single room enjoy your stay as much as...

Exhale! Let’s start with the positive, it’s short. A lot of businesses near by. Nice general location. Convenient parking. The room layout was nice.

My daughter and I arrived and went to check in. The lobby has this worn dated carpeting and it smelled mildewed and musty. I had to wait 10 mins before being assisted. A guy was taking up trash in the lobby and said someone will be with you. The someone was in an office inside the reception area. He closed the door and continued talking on the phone. He comes out and by this time 2 other customers are milling around for help. He says I had a family emergency, can I help you? No apologies for the inconvenience. He didn’t ask who was here first. I said I need to check in. He turns to a female customer he appeared to recognize and she said she needed change. He proceeded to help that customer and force me to wait longer. To justify his actions he states, “I would hate to have you wait for change when checking her in will take longer.” Then he turns to me and says, “ID.” Then he asked is anyone staying with you? I said yes, my daughter. Then he says ID to her. We looked puzzled and asked why do you need her ID? To which he responded, “it’s policy.” To which I responded that I traveled often and I’ve never had a guest in the room I’ve reserved and I am paying for, be asked for an ID. He responded, “I travel too and I get asked all the time.” Then he proceeded to tell us, “any guests need to come and show their ID as well.” The hotel is single level, you walk up to the doors from the parking lot. You never need to enter the lobby unless you need something. I commented how that didn’t make sense.

The room. It smelled stale. The carpet sticks to your shoes as if it’s never been shampooed. They do not vacuum because there is food on the floor. They do not dust because there are cobwebs everywhere. The vent in the bathroom has mold or mildew on it. The shower lining has stains.

There were people/guests hanging out in the parking lot. Last night guests were extremely loud inside their room and outside. I felt like I was in a First 48 murder scene. My daughter said it reminded her of the “Lazy-O,” from the Netflix’s show Ozark. I did not feel comfortable leaving anything in my car. I sincerely felt like I was going to come out to my car on bricks.

I was a long time resident there and the front desk manager Trish was very rude if you had to go up and discuss anything with her about your bills or anything important she'd say on the front desk manager and we'll just leave it at that and I had an issue after that with her she kept trying to get me kicked out she was just waiting she lied on me and I had an issue last night I was there the police had to come for an issue and a retired Rockford police officer John called the owner and claimed that he moved out because of the police having to come to my room when he actually was planning on moving out anyways and Trish the front desk manager had talked to other guests about me and my family and how we were weeks after I run cleaned I cleaned up after our dog and we were very friendly a lot of people have problems with Trish but are afraid to say so because they know she'll get even and end up kicking them out one way or another management needs to step in and quit being so scared of her on Trisha's very rude to all guests she even checked me in the day and then she put a note in the computer that if I was not to bring up my ID that I would be told to leave when she checked me and it's she's supposed to be the manager which I gave her my ID and that's her fault she put it in the did not put it in the computer because it was given into her in order for me to check in that's reason a lot of guests there don't go up there in the front during the day because the way they are talk to from her the owner management needs to get rid of her because she's trouble and she's very rude to a lot of people that come in there she picks and chooses and if she don't like you look out the rest of the stuff that Alpine and the manager of Scott are very nice very helpful very friendly but Trish is the one that ruins it for every for all the other staff so if you can avoid Trish do it cuz the rest of the staff is very nice and polite and very helpful especially Cassie and...
