Motel 6 Rockford, IL — Hotel in Rockford Township

I wish there was a I wish there was an option to Negative stars but it won’t allow me to post this without at least giving one. While I’m sitting in My moldy dirty filthy room I decided it was imperative for me to write a review. Still experiencing the absolute worst experience of my life it’s beyond a nightmare first of all there’s no one to greet you at the front desk when you check in at night, you have to speak to a person on a screen in Florida….. “Florida” I need two rooms for the night a king size room, and a double in the king size room. All the towels were filthy. They had hair and blood stains all over them. There was hair on the walls in the shower. There were sticky stains all over the nightstands, the tables, the desk, and the chairs in the room was horrific. I was actually afraid to leave my car overnight. The room with the beds had blood and sticky stuff all over the lights, the bedsheets, the towels and the walls there were no blankets and there was blood and Yellow stuff all over the towels in the bathroom although the room was spacious, I felt like I was in a storage unit and someone’s Apartment basement. I noticed that there was an extra lock on the doors for both rooms because it seems that someone tried to kick in the door so the wood panel on the wall next to the doors were split in half. Floors were littered with specs of trash and the entire hotel smells like cigarettes and sewage. the most pleasant and delightful experience of my Stay is packing up to leave and neeeeeeeeever ever coming back!!! my sons were mortified that they had to sleep in the room and I was embarrassed as a father to provide this type of facility for them. I literally had to go out to the car and get sleeping bags so we felt more comfortable spending the night and these atrociously despicable rooms. Absolutely disgusting experience. The website looks nothing like the rooms. The room we got didn’t even have vents, absolutely no way to heat the room, literally! There was hair all over the towels, bugs in the shower, mold in the bathroom, the dehumidifier didn’t even work, it was DIRTY, the hot tub was dirty, the room was FREEZING. The bed was disgusting. We were tucked away in a little corner, in a stair well, so weird. It was extremely loud and the toilet made the weirdest noise. My husband and I were too uncomfortable to even stay. We checked out within 20minutes of checkin in. The lady on the screen got a manager, who just walked PAST US to go check our room of course she was okay with the condition, but again she didn’t say anything to us. I told the lady on the screen how rude that was and said we were leaving. Rooms aren’t cheap like you’d expect. Do not stay here, it’s disgusting. We thankfully could go home and we are now staying somewhere else. We will never return here! Absolutely disgusting. They should be shut down! Smells, moldy, bugs, loud, cold. Everything!

$300 for TWO nights when basically all the other local hotels are extremely nice in comparison. We just wanted a jacuzzi in the room- won’t make that mistake again! It was like a trap house. They say non- smoking but there is nicotine stains all over the walls, it’s not a property run location. Everything was dirty, everywhere! Paper thin walls.

I know in their reply to my review they will say they hold themselves to high standard but they do not and nothing will change at this location. You can tell it’s been this way for a long time. They don’t care if it’s disgusting. No one has cleaned anything there in...

I visited the Motel 6 in Rockford, IL on State Street yesterday, as I was helping out a friend to stay there. Let me tell everyone out there...this motel was and is the best hotel that I have ever seen. Beautiful inside and out. First and foremost, Bob, Terri and Zoey were fantastic and personable and they really care about the people, pets and motel. Their hospitality is one that you will never find at any other hotel. They work around the clock to make sure all their residents are taken care of. One in a million. You cannot find another motel or hotel that the maintenance people are at your call and onsite 24/7. The rooms are gorgeous, cannot say enough about the rooms. Since I am on my step...let me just address the people who left "not so great reviews", I am not clear if these would be legit. You must of all been at another place. To complain about dust on a counter... really you should of just wiped it off, not s big deal at all. If you do not tell Bob and Terri, how are they supposed to know? They handle all the many rooms in that place, so if they were unaware, shame on you for not informing them before you left your "not cool review". Also very pet friendly too. To me that is the coolest next thing. Many people don't want to leave their pets with another person or boarded up, I am one of those people that treats my pets like family members. So I give this place a perfect 5 Stars. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of my friend. If and when I need a place to stay, I will definitely come there.
