Hacienda San Jose — Restaurant in Rockford Township

We were very disappointed in our meal, or lack of food this evening. We placed order for 2 mango margaritas, took too long 2 get even these 2nite. I don't know if the young guy who was waiting on us was new, or just didn't know how 2 wait a table?? Other lady waiting nearby tables seem 2 know what she was doing & getting her food orders in & out 2 her customers with no issues!! For some reason our order seemed 2 get "lost" in the chaos of other orders & I'm certain we waited ATLEAST 45 mins & still NO food!! We asked another waitress clearing tables nearby 2 get our ticket 4 our drinks 2 pay it , 2 margaritas we're $18+, so gave her the receipt & $20 for her to atleast pay 4 our drinks, so we could leave. The gal (not young guy waiting our table) tried 2 do her best 2 try 2 help us out, but when we ordered 2 dinner meals, one a 4pc taco dinner & other a 4 pc enchilada dinner, & her & our young waiter guy bring us a fajitas dinner, which was not our order, maybe we SHOULD have took this order, but was clearly someone else's order, atleast we WOULD have had food, just not our order & what we wanted 2 eat 2nite 4 our meal. We've had very few issues in the past with eating here previously, & we know the owner too, he's a great guy, we saw him there 2nite, but he looked busy & possibly helping wait on customers too, we just didn't have the heart 2 call him over 2 our table 2 give him our complaint of our terrible service 2nite. This evening was to be our "date nite" too as we do not get much time in our own lives these days 2 get out & go out somewhere just the 2 of us. We ended up calling one of the few places still open w/food 2 order since it's getting close to 12 midnight, most places are closed now 4 food, so looks like we're eating pizza...

Hello! I originally came here with a group for the Karaoke Singing they have every Saturday night. We had dinner here too. The Karaoke was a blast! The staff member in charge of it was very enthusiastic and engaging. She speaks and sings Spanish so everyone in the audience can enjoy.

The food wasn't a great choice for me. I can't have dairy and practically everything on the menu is dairy-inclusive. So if you're looking for a place that has lots of lactose-free options, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere while you dine with friends, you'll definitely find it here.

I gave the service a low star because we had a big group that came in at different times and the staff wasn't super attentive to the people who came later. I also feel like they didn't treat everyone equally. Like if you could speak Spanish, they'd give you more attention or serve you first - this part could just be me. One star is too much simply because the service is beyond terrible. The female manager needs attitude management. And male bartender is a hothead who can’t control his mouth or temper. My company and I were overcharged for our food and wanted to know why. Female manager was rude from the beginning and continued to speak Spanish to coworkers while talking about my company and I. I told female manager the situation could’ve been figured out sooner if everyone’s attitude was nicer and she continued to smile and laugh as if she was on a comedy show. They tried to use police as a threat when me and my company agreed to accept a refund. Then make bartender demanded we give the food back after already eating and paying which makes no sense.
