Motel 6 Rosemead, CA - Los Angeles — Hotel in Rosemead

Loved it there. Needed a short term rental into my new house was ready for move in. Tried the Airbnb route (horrible experience) went there instead. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING the most peaceful 2 weeks of my life. Pet friendly was a huge plus they even had a pet park which I thought was so cute, so thoughtful, so nice. One of my favorite perks was the complimentary tea/coffee every morning while I take my dog out on a walk. Everyone was extremely friendly. Even the neighbors whose room we were next too loved that family dog. Location was everything. It was centrally located near all of me and my families favorite eatery’s, mall, movie theater, gas station right in front you could literally walk to. On site laundry. Security every night. Safe location. Loved that the tv had all of me and my family shows felt like we didn’t miss a thing not being in our home for the moment. Loved the heat and AC right by the bed. Loved that it was a mini refrigerator in the room to keep waters, leftovers, and any other perishable food items or anything that had to be kept refrigerated. Very clean, maintenance and housekeeping clean daily all day. Loved that it was a trash receptacle kept everywhere which was extremely convenient being that I have OCD & also that since it’s a small room don’t like to keep trash inside and because of my pets. Saved the best for last THE STAFF!!! If I could’ve left 10 stars I would’ve such a friendly staff, accommodating guests must be a review alone because they all exceeded expectations. Whatever it was that me and my family may needed was ALWAYS provided even if it was just someone to lend an ear to listen. They put the service and hospitality in customer service, I felt like we were family. If I didn’t need the space for my big family and for my office I wouldn’t have mind staying there. Will definitely be back when I need a break from the family or when the family need a break from the house or when me and my husband need a break from the rest of our family. Either way I’ll be back thank you so much with the deepest soul in my heart for all the hospitality, service, and great energy. Special shoutouts to Christina, Ana, Ramon, Mike, Regina, Curtis, & Ingrid. Also the one that I works with the most and is always so very helpful even went out of her way to get me some coffee after the hours because I need my daily dosage of coffee. Shoutout to Guadalupe !!! Shoutout to the entire staff in general but those are the certain individuals I personally dealt with and they were all nothing short of amazing so I’m certain the rest of the staff...

As a "Google Local Guide", I take and give reviews seriously. It is never my intention to hurt a business, but to provide constructive criticism, if and when needed.

If I were to review this property based solely on Christina's demeanor, service and hospitality, I would totally give 5 stars. She's respectful, personable and pleasant. In addition, she went above and beyond in providing me with everything that I requested after I arrived after 11 pm. She gave me the 1st floor room I requested and even upgraded me to one with a refrigerator upon seeing me fill my cooler with ice.

However, I also must take into account other areas of my experience thus far:

Even when compared with other Motel 6s, the cleaning service here is subpar. For example, I was informed that "no staff will enter your room" to clean. If you want clean sheets, you must walk to the front desk, get a new pair and replace them yourself. The reason given for this was lack of personnel after COVID.

Guest services essentially end at 8 pm which is when the front desk is closed. Guests needing new towels or toilet paper must wait until morning time to receive them as staff is locked behind a glass enclosure.

The above points to management's perceived danger to staff at nighttime. This is beyond the staff's or even the management's control. The area is what it is. Earlier today (my first full day here), there seemed to be a lot of police activity nearby judging from the repeated sirens.

The telephone in the room is not working. I contacted the front desk TWICE and was assured that engineering would come in and fix it. I am still waiting...

I look forward to adding to my experience here until the end of my stay.

I am staying my second week here and things have gone downhill:

Most attendants have an attitude.

I moved to a different room and the WiFi in there is TERRIBLE. I have had to go into the Denny's next door to use their WiFi and do my work.

Just changed my review and added a star I had taken previously based solely on my experience with Christina once again. She's an absolute rock star! Do whatever you need to do to not just keep her, but to bottle whatever she's on and infuse it to your other...

Staying at the Motel 6 in Rosemead has truly been a refreshing and standout experience! Right from check-in, I was met with exceptional hospitality from the entire front desk team. Ana, Guadalupe, and Christina have gone above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. I have to give a special shout-out to Ana—she has been incredible! Anytime I needed anything, whether it was fresh towels, extra sheets, or assistance with my booking, Ana was right there, willing to help with a smile. She even sorted out an accidental double booking for me, making the process completely stress-free. She’s truly a superstar, and I can’t thank her enough for her kindness and attentiveness.

This Motel 6 is also impressively clean, which I find rare in most budget-friendly motels. From the rooms to the communal areas, everything is kept in tip-top shape. I was surprised to see just how well-maintained this property is! They have a great pool that’s always operational and spotless, a convenient dog run, a laundry room, two working ice machines, three vending machines, and even a microwave for guests. The amenities here genuinely make it feel like you’re getting great value for your stay. And unlike my past experiences with other Motel 6 locations where pests can be an issue, I haven’t seen a single cockroach here. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that prioritizes cleanliness to this level—truly impressive!

The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and make for a great place to rest. On top of all that, the Wi-Fi connection is fast and reliable, which is often hit or miss in budget motels, so that was an appreciated bonus! The ladies in the office have made this stay memorable and comfortable with their warm and professional service. It’s obvious they care deeply about their guests and making this Motel 6 feel like a home away from home.
