I just had gotten food for my husband who is disable, uses a cane, and has movement disorder. A hostess, named Sherry, came over and demanded that we vacate the table and to go back to the room assigned to our party. The room was very crowded with family and friends who attended my father in law’s funeral. 100 people were expected to come. There was no space for us and our niece had to make room by adding chairs to the last table at the end of the narrow room. We tried sitting there but it was too hard for my husband to walk that far. I explained that to Sherry and since he couldn’t get his own food, I wanted him to see what’s available and I would get his food for him. This girl was very rude and actually told me that she didn’t care if my husband was disable. She then took his food and brought it to a table, near the kitchen door, with one chair. I got so irritated that I lost my appetite. I told my family about the horrific treatment and unfortunately, the bill totaling almost $4,000.00 was already paid. When my son and his cousins got up to leave, this same woman came over and told them to leave as she has customers waiting for their table. They looked around and saw that there were so many empty tables around. When I found out this, I went back and asked for the Manager. When I was speaking to her, Sherry came over and I pointed to the Manager that this was the girl who was so rude to us. This girl flatly denied that she did it. My son who came to get me told her that was the one who told them to get out. She was still arguing while the Manager apologized profusely and had to be told to be quiet. I feel that this is a horrendous way to treat customers especially after spending a large amount of money to a less than satisfactory food and unprofessional staff. This kind of attitude should not be tolerated and management should address their staff on treating customers especially with disabilities with kind and respect. My husband felt defeated when we left and he deserves more than that. I demand a formal apology from the management of...
Read moreMy family and I had been going to this buffet for a few years but lately and especially yesterday ( November 7, 2018) we all been there for lunch and it’s about 2 pm. And we all VERY DISAPPOINTED !!! All stirred fired veggies ate old , the glass noodles are stale , French fried , sesame balls, and all fried stuffs are old and hard. The steamed white fish and salmon weren’t fresh and smelled fishy like. As far as sushi sections, we gave up and disappointed long time ago because those sushi rolls are terrible.... the only thing that kept us going because of the fresh fish and vegetables but since those are now terrible too. Moreover, they took out the soft serve ice cream and replaced it with hard ice cream in the bucket ( please tried how hard to scoop it up). Everyone on our table didn’t seem to eat very much and we looked at each other face and we all said “ We should not have come here at the first place.😬 The quality isn’t quite the same for a while but we all still have the good impression of the good old days from when the quality is much much better. And we all noticed that this place isn’t as busy as before. It seems like 50% less crowd. I believe if the quality is still going at this rate and start replacing Cheap ice cream and etc. and cheap sushi bar. This place will continue losing customers because there will be less and less returning customers. Just like our family, we all agreed that we wouldn’t come to this buffet again. I guess other customers felt the same way. I thought that the longer the restaurant s there , the better it will be. However, this is opposite, the longer it’s in the business, it getting worst day by day. What can we say .... from eating terrible food yesterday.... my family.... we all still talk about how bad the food were...
Read moreThings have gone downhill here after Covid- all but the HIGH prices. I spent around $51- lunch for 2 w/ 1 fountain drink. TWO HOUR TIME LIMIT!
There are MANY, mostly Asian dishes but in certain food areas, quality is lacking. The food quantities are smaller, reflecting the lack of customers compared to years past.
LUNCH TIME
Don't be fooled by those posted pics from years past, dinner or weekend pics. Lunch menu is verrry different!
Those thin, all-shell, little meat crab legs you see in pics are @ I believe provided during the week @ dinner time.
There's lots of sushi types to choose from.
The imitation crab meat is a bit dry - really. The bread desserts are also somewhat dry. Leftovers due to lack of customers? Over-refrigerated?
The banana pudding was surprisingly good, not as sweet as you would think. All the fruit was decently sweet except for the watermelon. It was anemic in color & taste but that can happen w/ any watermelon picked @ the market.
The 'meat cutting' self serve station consisted of a white cutting board with a sausage on top and canned type compressed ham, about the size of a spam can. See pic.
While the 'floor area' was clean, the restaurant can use a real deep clean of the duct work that looms over the booths seating areas. It has been like this before & has only gotten worse. So can the curtains which are frayed on the ends & dusty. See pics. The view from the windows to the outside garden (actually no garden - all dry & nasty.) The area needs work like trimming shrubs/trees, adding greenery & watering it. Call Caltrans to help with the homeless garbage clean-up over the fence.
Overall, just not decent enough for us to come back. Sad. Bring back...
