So went with this hotel because our team got a block of rooms during the USA cup, wish we would’ve researched it before just blindly committing to where the team wanted to stay. Right off the bat, room was 20 degrees hotter than even the hallway outside the room, clearly the A/C unit was broke. I called the front desk and their solution to the problem was to find this super dumpy fan to help move the hot air in the room around. On top of all that, the room smelled like terrible, like a combination of mold mixed with a diaper full of shrimp. The waste baskets didn’t even have the liners in them, they just set the liner on the rim of the waste basket for you to put in yourself. Convenient🙄. Tried to switch rooms, of course they couldn’t because it was all to capacity so no other rooms were available. The pool was straight up trash. Dirty, small, and not properly ventilated. Location was I guess the closest they could get right next to 35W, but there of course is nothing around that isn’t at least a 10-15 drive. After complaining again about the A/C being broken, all they said is they could offer us some free ice cream. Yea that’ll keep us cool all night when it’s 90 frickin degrees in our room ha! Then in the morning when we demanded to get a refund or at the very least a discount because for one night they wanted $188 for a miserably hot room and a dumpster pool, they showed zero empathy and said very sarcastically “we’ll talk to our manager”. How bout… “I’m so so sorry to hear that, what can we do to make it right here? Let me write down your phone number and have a manager contact you ASAP”. Nope! Just “NEXT! BYE FELICIA!” We would’ve left the night before but we had a super late soccer game and a long drive home, so we were stuck between a rock and hard place, just had to grin and bare it for the night. And with two kids in the room on top of it, the night was sleepless and miserable. I will NEVER stay here again as long as I live and I hope they completely go out of business and building gets condemned. They deserve nothing good from paying customers, hence why this scathing review. I don’t normally do this, but this one nights sleep took some years off my life and I’ll never go back. I’ll make sure everyone I know knows about this abysmally run operation that has the audacity to call itself a “hotel”. Ha! Laughable! ...
Read moreHaving spent a week in this Roseville, Minnesota location, I feel confident to dissuade others from making this choice. (1) Upon arrival, I had to request a room reassignment as the A/C unit was malfunctioning and prior ovcupant had smoked effusively in a non smoking environment; (2) As for room maintenence, be advised that at this level within Mariott hotel chains, housekeeping will be done every other day. Initially I had to make my own bed after requesting fresh linens to do so; request clean towels and removal of used ones; request replenished toilet paper and sundries; and encourage in-room garbage take away ...until such time as I negotiated with front desk personnel to accomodate housekeeping service daily as it was a longer stay; (2) The breakfast included was far less than standard culinary execution and by week's end, I was bringing my own breakfast; (3) Notices of Mariott policies were not user friendly format for the visually disabled and would contrevene clauses in the Americans with Disabilities Act. The high point of this visit was having engaging discussions with on-site management who worked diligently to address issues forthright and began implimenting policy changes to address and rectify situations for the future with their personnel. To that avail, I can not speak highly enough of the dedicated professionalism of these individuals as they executed their due diligence. However, as the client in this scenario, this is not incumbent...
Read moreWe traveled 6 hours to Minneapolis to visit family. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, nice big tv, clean and spacious rooms, although a bit dated. The elevator was quick and convenient. Nice fitness room. The pool is closed and has been closed for some time. We heard something about the pool was damaged by a sprinkler system malfunction. There were 2 large team buses of ice hockey players apparently in town for a college tournament so the hotel was very busy and noisy late into the night & early in the morning. They also cleaned out the breakfast food choices. The little quiches were very good, there were waffles but no syrup, the bananas were almost black, the juice machine was broken, and the coffee was terrible. There were plenty of food choices though, so that was good. My friend slipped and fell in the bathtub but didn’t get hurt. Non-slip strips need to be added to the tubs. For the most part, it is a good hotel, clean and comfortable and convenient. My friend called and booked the rooms and she said it would be around $100 per night. When we checked in, that’s when I used my own credit card. However, at checkout, I learned that the cost was almost $400 for 2 nights. Way too much money for a...
