I visited the county road D at 7am ordered blueberry bagel w/ strawberry smear 1 large iced Vanilla white mocha 2 large turtle mocha coolers less chocolate no topping and extra thick as I always the last two years wasted one of my turtles because I fell asleep with it on the counter. So I went back around noon 1pm but got a someone I’ve honestly never seen or not memorable because I go to this location once twice a day ordered just 1 blueberry begal 1large iced vanilla white and 1 turtle but changed my mind asked for an extra one a small one with the same less chocolate mix I don’t like them way too sweet and the fact I pay for them I don’t ask the employees to pay for them out there pockets and I get people I know and always welcomed I recently gotten thyroid cancer and when they didn’t see me for months was concerned and really genuine, not that they are supposed to be but when you see a person every day you build great rapport and just all around a great atmosphere. The Caribou company did not make a drink and ( say to the employees this is how a drink is made only make it that way ) just sell it the exact way I made it at that price . So when I ask for less this none of that why would you give the customer and push back a smirk on your face looking down to the floor while your talking and she didn’t have a name tag or else I definitely address her she had huge arms and honestly a side ponytail with ashy color hair her head was small but huge broad shoulders. But I then ordered a small turtle but can she tell me how much of chocolate pumps goes in a small etc I was talking to this nice guy he came from a great store over in St. Paul I went to when I would be in there area , but she got attitude with him . I’m not sure if she was an manager . But I don’t think anyone would put a title on her attitude but back to the small order she just assumed I would pay for it when I had a free large drink but failed to state when she put my perk in the first order I would knew where I was at with a free drink so she rings up the small state at that point I had 160 which means I was at 140 with the 1st order as they just changed the policy from 120 to 140 perks for the free any size hand crafted drink wow she really got upset I don’t think it was because she felt she wasted the small one because she just wanted a whole other drink but to say the least she made my free drink with the entire chocolate pumps so it was really nasty and sweet sitting on my counter now wow lady you are so special to think you got away with something today I’m appalled my day was ruined and if I had filled out the survey it wouldn’t have been good for her and I just couldn’t get it off my mind like I asked her to make it the same extra thick less chocolate and if I had a ride back there now I’d go to address the drink !!! I come everyday pay for three drinks 22.00 dollars at one time and will come back and get the same order that day another 22.00 the free drinks come fast for me on my perks because of that reason so I’m not standing in front of the counter acting like I should about my money because I want my drinks done right nooo this is not right addressing the weirdly shaped shoulder person I’ll come back to this and add a name so future coffee lovers don’t deal with this type of crazinesseveryone that knows me by my drinks there and if you’re reading yes this very oddly long review you know I know you f’ed up my drink and I’m not letting it go !!! Read moreThis store is untrained in customer service and company policy. I had a very poor experience with the Caribou Tower Glen this morning. I ordered a Large Cold Press with No Ice, something I've ordered frequently from many other locations. When I approached the drive-through window, the woman working there said "you know when you say no ice, the glass looks a bit empty right?" and proceeded to hand me a large cold press with 1.5 - 2 inches of empty space in the cup. I told her I didn't think that was right. She informed me that "This is just how it is". I said that I have ordered this numerous times and I'm fairly certain Caribou's policy is to fill the cup. She offered to get the manager to explain it to me. At that point I informed her that I would simply purchase coffee elsewhere in the future. And I drove off so I could get to work.
I checked with my friend who works for Caribou and apparently company policy is to fill the cup to within 1/4 inch of the rim when there is a request for no ice. That's in the Beverage Guidebook. I know this is a special request, but as a caribou perks member I think it's pretty cheap and short-sighted for this store to leave so much empty space.
I spent 16 years of my life in the hospitality industry and I know service roles can be hard. But the service at this store, especially from the woman in the drive-through, is seriously bad. I've written to Caribou to suggest some training for them and detail this experience. We'll see if they make it right. I use thank you, please, my apologies all day long-which rightfully so! I pull up to drive up, no greeting/Hello, Hi, How are you? Anything? Then get up to the window, no greeting or your order will be right up-nothing, she continues to take orders from the cars behind me....she takes a breath and states the price of the drink...it was incorrect...when I inform her that is incorrect, she answers back-huh-she corrects it, that's fine...takes the money-hands me the drink and continues on talking with the next order. No thank you, come again ...rude from the start till the end. Address the customer in a professional way with manners from start to finish-that's what you are getting paid for. I would be putting her in the back to work, not in front because she needs to sharpen up on her customer service...
