Started going here in 2004 not long after they opened and theyâve been a five-star until the end of last year. Had the best buffet, the best takeout and always a personal touch. Even when I moved farther from them I still went out of my way to get takeout when I could from here. The food was THAT GOOD! But unfortunatelyâŚâall good things must come to an endââŚand after getting take out from here this week, I absolutely agree with the last couple reviews.
The new owners who took over this year clearly have taken a different approach to the menu. Although the menu itself hasnât changed, their ingredients did. The same things Iâve been eating for over a decade now literally taste like mush to the point I literally spit it out. My cat wouldnât even touch the so-called beef. And I wonât even explain how bad the rice was.
If you never ate here prior to 2022, then youâll hafta judge for yourself. But the NHKW I knew is gone and I wonât be going back. But I will say best wishes to Hong and her family in their new endeavors and thank you for keeping me well fed for the...
Read moreThe restaurant has definitely changed, but the food is still good. I have been coming here for years, it is where I had my first date with my husband. The tastes of the food are definitely different, but they aren't bad. The fried rice was good, the egg roll was amazing, I really liked the sweet and sour sauce, and the orange chicken was very very orange-y! A lot of orange chicken I have had has been very similar to just a sweet and sour chicken, this one was very boldly orange, however it didn't have any spice to it. (I would have liked it to have a little heat.) I will call out the cream cheese wantons a bit though. Before the change in ownership, the cream cheese puffs were the best I had ever had, anywhere. I loved the sweetness of them. These are more like the cream cheese puffs I have had everywhere else. Again, they were good, just not the same. They definitely needed the sweet and sour sauce because they...
Read moreLooking around for a different Asian restaurant to try because most of them are disappointing⌠We found it here! The sesame chicken and it was the best Iâve had in over 10 years! Large pieces of white meat chicken battered just right. The sesame sauce was the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy (I ordered it ânot too spicyâ and they nailed it). The Kung Pao chicken was also superb! White meat chicken, veggies were fresh and crisp and cut large enough that you know what your eating! The sauce was delicious and not super greasy like most places but a little spicy for us whimps. Weâll definitely order it again, but request a slight reduction in spice level as I did with the Sesame. The only item we tried that didnât wow us was the hot and sour soup, it was just ok once we added soy sauce but there didnât seem to be any tofu in it. All in all, their menu is extensive and we canât wait to try more...
