I recently stayed at this hotel and would like to share my experience. I am giving it two stars for a couple of positive aspects. The beds were clean and comfortable, which is important for a good night's sleep. Additionally, the front desk girl who checked us in provided a warm and friendly greeting, making us feel welcome. However, the overall stay was disappointing. The condition of the room left much to be desired. The closet mirror was broken, and the shower curtain was ripped off, giving the room an unkempt appearance. Moreover, the lack of sufficient lighting was a major drawback, as there was only one functioning light and the lamp was not working, resulting in a dim and uncomfortable atmosphere. Another issue was the amenities provided. Unlike most Hilton hotels that offer generously sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, this hotel only provided small amounts, barely enough for a single use. Fortunately, we had brought our own products. Additionally, I'd like to mention that the experience was further marred by a noisy fridge in the room. The constant noise from the fridge was disruptive and made it difficult for us to sleep peacefully throughout the night. I'm writing this review not to criticize, but in hopes that the hotel management will take these points into consideration and make improvements. With a few adjustments, this place could provide a much better experience for its guests.

This may be one of two negative posts I have EVER made. I typically just do not say a word if a business does not provide good service. Wr all have bad days and I understand. But this was more than a bad day. The rooms...my first one and then my replacement room...were just UNSANITARY. It was cold and raining outside so I opted to change rooms instead of just leaving the hotel. I should have left. Dust everywhere, food on the floor between the bed and nightstand, mold/mildew/rust in showers...took forever to get hot water and then it was scalding and almost impossible to temper, outlets in bathroom didnt work. The only positive thing I can say is that I didn't find any evidence of bedbugs. On a side note...the desk clerk acted pretty put out by my asking for a new room. I have contacted corporate regarding this matter and hope that they will see to getting the place up to Hampton Inn Standards so more travelers will not be subjected to that unsanitary environment. Yuck. I'm typing this from a different Hampton 3 hours west and it is very nice and clean and has friendly staff. It looks to be about the same age as far as remodels go...shows what a difference good management can make in maintaining a property.

Sad, run down, needs updating desperately. I don’t usually have strong opinions about hotels. Especially a Hampton Inn. Seen one, seen them all. But this was not even to that standard. My room smelled musty, the gross mildewed shower door was hanging off its hinges, there was one wall of the hallway that was completely torn up. Sad wallpaper, peeling from the walls. Sad curtains, carpet, “artwork.” Terrible low lighting— I had no overhead lights, just lamps. Makes it difficult to pack/unpack when you can’t actually see the contents of your suitcase. The sad paper cups in my room were dirty somehow? They have the shampoo on the wall dispenser. Sad and cheap. Housekeeping only cleans every other day. The pool is filled with screaming kids day and night. I saw kids in bathing suits in the lobby at 10, 11 pm, their parents letting them run around and play. I felt bad for the front desk people. They were actually nice. If you can stay somewhere else, I recommend that you do. I was wishing I’d stayed at Courtyard or Country Inn in that same area, they looked nice.

The most annoying part is that the room has a dead refrigerator staff refused to replace. They offered to move us but it would have been a huge hassle as we intended to be near family. Bed itself on a frame like a steel drum... Sounds of the Caribbean every time we moved.

There was also missing furniture in room that the staff gaslit me about being "only for suites" (despite same room configs having an armchair of some sort). We were staying here to take care of family's baby during a wedding, not having a chair was certainly less comfortable.

Mold on bathroom wall and shower door, shower door itself falling off its track but clearly some effort has been made to make it not fall off. Nonfunctioning nightlight made it tough to use the bathroom at night. Water pressure was great though and water was hot.

Cigarette smells in elevator area. Room had weird electrical ozone funk presumably from the dead refrigerator constantly trying to start. When I realized it was busted I unplugged it... But not being able to get a replacement felt extra cheap... Reported it in the morning, desk staff said no problem, went back early afternoon to check in on it and as I was told it would be replaced but as I walked away I heard the housekeeping person say they didn't want to do it and just wanted to go home... Not positive that was about the fridge but when I got back to the room the phone rang and I was informed it would not be replaced.

Pillows on bed were barely more than sheets inside of pillow cases, would have liked a few more to make them like actual pillows but that was "not possible".

Door handles on several rooms both hard to open and falling off the door... Very strange. It was actually hard to get one of our family's door latched properly from the outside since the handle was so loose. Getting into the rooms was tricky because the handles bound up really hard for some reason.

Inter-room noises are well controlled; there were a lot of kids staying here and you could hear them all walking down the hall but in the room it was only the broken refrigerator trying to start and considerable noise from the highway outside, no kid noises made it in. The TV was strangely hard to hear though.

Pool remains "temporarily closed" as it has been in reviews from the...

The best part about this Hampton Inn was by far the friendly staff, but that's not enough to make me ever book here again.

While the location is extremely convenient to First Solar, it's not particularly nearby to anything else, and the hotel lacks any dining options to make up for this. I checked in with my Hilton Honors app and selected the available room that suited my preferences then was given a completely different room when I arrived, and the experience continued downhill from there. The A/C in the room managed to keep the area nearby the unit comfortable, but unfortunately, the bed and bathroom weren't in that area. It was too hot to sleep, and the heat and humidity kept the bathroom floor feeling sticky and gross without the A/C cooling the room properly in mid-July. The toilet kept running on and off constantly and noisily, which was highly irritating while struggling to sleep in a room that's already uncomfortably warm. There was a built-in nightlight in the sink area that couldn't be turned off, so it reflected off the mirror over the sink and off the mirrored closet doors all night, creating an annoying glow to further make sleeping impossible. (While there was a switch on it, this only turned the light off for a brief period of time, then it automatically switched back on.)

Overall, as a Diamond level Hilton Honors member and frequent traveler for business and leisure purposes, this was the worst experience at a Hilton hotel I've ever had. It was FAR below the standards I expect for Hilton/Hampton Inn and all the reasons I've been brand loyal, making it exceptionally disappointing. I definitely will not stay at this location for future business trips to Perrysburg and will ensure it is not utilized by our company for future business travel by anyone else.

If you are not concerned about convenience to restaurants while traveling and are not bothered by uncomfortable temperatures, noises, or light while trying to sleep, this may be a great deal for you though, as it was one of the least expensive Hilton hotel options...

Can’t put ac lower than 68 or fan to stay on high. Ruined the stay. Toi was fantastic in personality and service. I forgot my backpack at the front desk and she noticed and had it put safely aside, I am extremely grateful to her. Dan was attentive and friendly but clearly stressed and over worked. All staff I encountered was lovely and personable. And looked as overheated as you would expect considering the temp of the whole hotel.

Headboard was gross but otherwise the room seemed clean. No signs of bugs. Hot water was fast, pressure was good. Furniture on the very small side and not much of it. What was there was in nice condition and the room was spacious. There was usb ports in the lamps and enough electrical outlets. Room was miserable hot and humid, neither of us could sleep well because of it. My husband is always cold and he was covered in sweat all night.

Wouldn’t touch the breakfast, even staff was overheard complaining that there’s nothing you can do to make those eggs taste ok. Tiny round tables at low plastic seat couches for most of the lobby. Very inadequate for eating. Saw a 60 something couple sitting on a couch trying to eat hunched over off an ottoman because there isn’t room for two to put food on the tiny tables. There is only a few square tables with reasonable space. They’re all bunched together in groups and ends up being one single person taking up two of those and four seats by sitting on the outer edge of it. Very awkward and also miserably sweaty.

Would have given a 3 if not for breakfast and a four or five if not for the temp, if it would have allowed to keep the fan on high and set just one or two degrees lower or offered a fan for hot sleepers. The fridge also leaked a lot of water from the freezer defrosting repeatedly over 3 days, but I can look past that and the missed headboard if they were stand alone issues. Pool was open and had generous hours, but I was warned it was cold and I didn’t use it. Digital key...
