Please take the time to read this. And do not book at this location. I have a booked a two queen size bed for March in early January and highly dissatisfied. After a long ride from out of town with 3 teenagers they gave me the incorrect room with a “king size” bed. I let Anthony know that this was a mistake and he said that they have overbooked 12 rooms and had to cancelled my original room and gave me a king size and let him know that I had three teenagers with me and in his response he said that there was a pull out couch and there wasn’t anything to do. I told him I had no idea and that there was a change and I paid for two queen beds and that I even and I confirmed with Jacob a week before and that it would have been nice of them to give me a call if any changes have happened. Instead it was news to me after a long day travelling. Anthony said that there wasn’t anything he can do but after clicking the mouse and typing whatever on the computer. He then said that he had to wait until 3p because there was someone coming in that can Help and possibly a solution of getting 2 rooms for the price of one even though it was good to be true I thought to give him the benefit of the doubt he said go ahead freshen up and that he will call the room they booked me in at 3p. 3:10p comes I got no call so I went back to front desk. I see Anthony in hurry to leave his shift. I talked to Ryan explained to him what happened and he just gave me a card to email the manager Bayron which he said he will reply to me as he the one that can make things happened. And I told Ryan I have things to do and if I can get some blankets and my room comp because this was a mistake on their end and if they would have communicated to their guest about overbooking. I would have went somewhere else. But again he said he couldn’t give me a room that they don’t have available which I understand but I would like to get compensated. I emailed Bayron their assistant manager who I have not got an email back. I am very disappointed that my mini vacation was not comfortable and upsetting that there was no communication and had to sleep on a pull out couch that was uneven, dirty and lumpy, the blankets were itchy, the tub clogged. Please do not book here. It’s not...
Read moreWe were in town for our daughters college graduation. Our first hotel choice was not available due to it being sold out. We were so impressed and overly satisfied with our stay. The hotel is beautiful and well outfitted with everything we needed. We were using the hotel for a pre and post graduation get together with15 family members. I called prior to our stay and to ask the catering manager if that amount of people would fit into their lounge and she offered a side conference room to us if the bar/lounge was full. When we checked in, we were warmly greeted by Chanel who was AWESOME!!!!! She was interested funny and interested in our important event and offered any help she could to make our stay better. After checking into our King Suite she even called to make sure the room was satisfactory!! We were super happy with the room and it allowed for 8 of us to hang out together and get ready for the graduation in. After the graduation, we arrived to a very busy bar but were advised that we had a waitress/staff who would serve us in the conference room. To our surprise, the catering manager had set up the room with high boy tables, chairs and a water bubbler. We even had two servers for food and drinks!!. It was so awesome and the whole family was super impressed!!! We were able to have an intimate, fun time in our own space. The food was so good and our servers went above and beyond to accommodate us. They were super busy in the bar but never made us feel like we were bothering them. We even needed them to do separate checks which I know is a total pain and our server was great about it. I cannot believe how amazing our stay was. Having Starbucks and breakfast available and food in the evening is so perfect! We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting! Everything was clean and it was obvious that the staff pays very close attention to detail!! We were so happy with our stay that i just booked another night there next week when we move our daughter out of her apartment even though our normal first choice is available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Sacramento. COURTYARD CAL-EXPO is now our FIRST CHOICE HOTEL!!!! Thank you for making our daughters college graduation celebration so perfect!!! Thank you!!!...
Read moreFirst, I want to say that the room we stayed in was really nice....thank you. However, the pool area was a different story. We took the children to the pool about 9 pm to give then an hour to swim. Upon sitting in the pool area, my grandson noticed a couple of bugs. After a closer look, it was determined that the bugs were cockroaches and they were coming from everywhere; Big ones, small ones, baby ones........There were cockroaches crawling on our towels, the wraps we took to the pool, and we watched roaches crawl all over a little asian boy who had them on his shirt he left on the ground. The roaches were going into the pool; Roaches were in the bushes, and there were a LOT of them!!!
People were scattering to get out of the water. We shook our belongings off as much as possible, however, we are a scared of bug, and ended up throwing away our wraps and shirts. We were concerned that the hotel had roaches on the inside. Upon getting back to the room, showers were taken to make sure roaches were not in out hair bodies. The children were pretty upset most of the night, thinking that roaches were crawling on them. Needless to say, the lights were on all night.
The second thing was, after getting the children to settle down, I called the front desk to request 2 more pillows and 4 more towels and face clothes. I was told by informed by Danielle that I could have 2 more towels and there were no pillows. The problem with that was, there were 4 people in our room. She told me that if I wanted the towels, I needed to come to the front desk to get them. She never offered to have house keeping bring them to our room. I could not leave the children by themselves. Upon my checkout I informed the person at the front desk about the cockroach problem, and was non-chauntly told that she would let the manager know of the problem, No offer for discount, and really no empathy. It was like she knew the roaches were there. Very poor customer service from both Danielle and the front desk person at check out. I really don't believe that I would be recommending your hotel to anyone. I gave a 4 because at check in the gentleman was warm and friendly, he...
