I have a Broken foot at age 56 yrs old due to being CarJacked. The Amtrak Train was 3 hours late from “Winnemucca, Nevada.” I had to walk by myself to the Train Station, with 2 big suitcases and a walker, in the middle of the street bcuz of No ADA Accessible Sidewalks! I ordered a Uber ride but nobody showed up. I paid money and can’t get a refund from Uber! When I arrived in Sacramento California, I reserved a room in Rancho Cordova Fairfield by Marriott. They told me that I’ve gotta go to the Cal Expo Fairfield location, which is over 30 minutes away. I haven’t even paid yet! I explained to her that I have a broken foot. So Late at night, The receptionist said you can call Hotels.com or it’s only a 30 minute drive. Now, In the past, I have had to call hotels.com but it’s extremely difficult to get ahold of a “Live Person” without spending hours on the phone to get anywhere. I am Soo exhausted, I can barely keep my eyes open and I’ve got to drive. Now, I’ve got a Broken Foot due to being CarJacked in a parking lot! Now I have bad Panic Attacks and PTSD just being in a parking lot and this is my first time driving after the accident. I can’t get an ADA Room anywhere in Sacramento California. Fairfield by Marriott at Cal Expo, Last night they put me on the 3rd floor, as I told them I have a broken foot, a walker and 2 larger suitcases. The maintenance guy helped me with my luggage. Saturday, the next day, I spoke with the receptionist lady, when she found out that I was on the 3rd floor, then later, she helped me move to the 1st floor around noon. She helped me move all my stuff to the 1st floor. My point is that the Fairfield by Marriott located in Rancho Cordova, never should have turned me away in the first place. I just reserved a room on Hotels.com. I was planning to pay at the hotel. She made it harder for me. I’m in soo much pain walking! This is Unacceptable Behavior from Fairfield by Marriott Hotel in Rancho Cordova California. I needed to be near my friend. I didn’t want to drive bcuz I’m in soo much pain! I still don’t have an ADA Accessible BathRoom at Cal Expo Fairfield by Marriott.I’d appreciate it, if I had one available for me to take a shower. Why don’t some people help you if...
Read moream not a picky hotel consumer. I normally take any deviations from a good experience in stride and carry on.||Our stay at this hotel was bad beyond anything I have ever experienced: Upon our arrival we were startled to find out that the front desk/lobby was closed and under construction and we found a small temporary "front desk" which was literally a desk in a hall way. We were advised that due to the inconvience, our parking fee would be waived. We arrived at our room and discovered the TV didn't work. Called "front desk" and was told they could send maintenance or we could switch rooms. Having just unpacked things we opted for maintenance. He was sent "right up" and arrived about 20 minutes later. We then awkwardly sat in the room while the uncommunicative maintenance man attempted to fix the tv. He climbed on the furniture and fiddled with connections, but could not get a signal, although he got the TV to turn on. After over an HOUR of this, my husband said "we'll change rooms" We were given the room next door. Upon entry it smelled like someone had been smoking in the room. We proceeded to move all of our unpacked items into the new room. Later, we poured some wine into a plastic cup from the room and....it poured all over the floor! There was a large crack in the side of the cup. While plugging in my phone bedside I discoved ants crawling all over the bedside table. The bath tub was full of mold and was also dangerously slippery. The toilet seat was very loose.||Due to the construction in the lobby we had to go to the next door Courtyard hotel for breakfast which had a separate (but not equal) breakfast reserved for this hotel. The eggs and potatos were colder than room temperature.||The icing on the cake was when I reviewed the invoice after checkout, we were charged for parking.||This is not a 1 star review because the receiption personal were kind...
Read moreStayed there for years . Was promised king suite for 10 day stay by manager Jash , confirmed thru 4 phone calls to staff in following weeks, they all said it was in the notes , then upon arrival was lied to and told I never had the reservation, that they didn’t have a king suite at all at that hotel , and that it was impossible for a supervisor to make that mistake since they said I was booked for a reg king room, And that there were no notes at all. Therefore implying that I was lying about the whole thing. Was made to feel like I was making everything up. They tried to say they gave me an upgrade to a suite with two queen beds; initially stated twice to the supervisor that I needed the KING SUITE. We both have businesses and need the room for two desks. This was fully explained up front. Manager Byron tried to send me to a sister property but it was out by natomas , way far from my business appts. He spoke to the next nearest Marriott property residence inn on Howe avenue in sacto and they had to drop their rate to cover the Fairfield’s mistakes so we could afford to stay at our budget … all this is completely unacceptable. Especially to loyal Marriott bonvoy members for years. I will never recommend this hotel based on this experience because you can’t even trust the managers to come through on their word and try to make anything right. Instead of owning their mistakes, they tried to put it back on me. I’ve opened a case with Marriott bonvoy # 303-822-737 so if anyone needs to verify these details …...
