I arrived at Motel 6 3796 Northgate Blvd., Sacramento October 6 at 3 PM approximately I was approach by a manager named Maria, who is very rude disrespectful I had a reservation and my rate wouldāve been I believe $79 As a girl name Maria, she asked for my drivers license, which is not a problem and she said in your eight AARP card I said I donāt have one. She says now the rates gonna be higher so she $98 I said itās the same company your reservations and she gave me an attitude about it. Well itās $98 so I said whatever Iāll pay it just came from Chico California. Iām up here In Sacramento to go to UC Davis hospital for medical procedure I am ADA Iām disabled. I have disabled plates on my vehicle so she was gonna put me on the second floor. I have a walker and a walking cane. I said I canāt go up that flight of stairs and I also canāt walk that far from an elevator. Iām not stable on my feet and I fall very easily I explained to her and she gave me an attitude there too very rude. I told her I was gonna report her to her management and to Americans with disabilities she got upset with me and said Iām not gonna give you a room now and then she said the only way Iāll give you a room The only way Iāll give room You have to write a statement saying that I wonāt sue or Complain and thatās the only way Iāll give you a room so basically sheās trying to Make me do something that I didnāt do wrong. All I asked for was the first floor she lies, and then I told her I donāt write very well. Thatās one of my disabilities, which are many the only reason I doing a Review I talk text But do I know how to spell no I told her that too she just smirk and was very sarcastic and then Iām not giving you a room now I donāt use foul language I was respectful to her. I didnāt raise my voice. I was firm what I said. I need a first floor room I had my Room key card she grabbed and snatched it out of my hand first I didnāt know what she was grabbing. I put my hand over the card. I donāt know what she Going for or tried to harm me She should ask can I please have the key back? I wouldāve gave it to her and itās all on camera then she gave me my refund and it was for $100 as I drove away I didnāt really thought about it then I realize she did deposit on the room and it was for $100. My room wouldāve been $98 so she tried to rip me off $98 so I went back she gave me A refund for $98 and $100 refund She scared me. Iām a senior elderly she broke laws, abusing the elderly, and whoās disabled shame on Maria. She should not be working in the hospitality industry. I am a four-year retired from the hospitality in Southern California upscale hotels, five star five diamond Yes, I did take a picture of her on my phone to let other guest The community of Sacramento how abusive she was to me I will put her on Instagram and Facebook and social media. Her picture will be posted Iām sorry to say Motel 6 will get a bad review even though upper management had nothing to do with this, but Maria caused the problem She remove from the hospitality industry If she did this to me as a guess, sheās probably more likely doing it to other guys members Iāve never experienced as a guess or a senior abuse from someone like that But I do have both receipts now refund $98 and $100 and weāll see if it goes back up on my credit card Unless Maria try to do another scam or bully to me Marie is describe possibly Latino glasses and was last wearing a yellow shirt Not a uniform her own street clothes she is not hard to miss does not smile She even disrespected me when I told her I donāt read and write and I asked for her name And she told me Maria and you have to write it yourself, but I donāt write Maybe hospitality is not for her maybe working by herself as a DoorDash Driver that may not even cause she still got to see people maybe working from home I have student Motel 6 And I had nice experiences except until October 6, 2024 at 3 PM approximately Maria. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhatever you do, don't let them put you in the 200s rooms. There is a large homeless encampment on that side of the motel and they are super duper loud, and it lasts alllllll night. Imagine someone screaming at the top of their lungs until 3am, the guy upstairs throwing things and stomping around, a potential domestic violence situation downstairs, people running back and forth through the hall while yelling, people knocking on your door at 5am asking for money, people peering in your windows (I had to hang a blanket over it), having loud speakerphone discussions (please stop doing that, it's the epitome of obnoxious) outside your door, people leaving beer cans everywhereāyou get the picture. Other than that, the rooms are nice and clean, and the staff are great. The woman who helped me move to a different room today (Aug 28) was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. She should be commended for her customer service! I didn't get her name, but she was there at about 4:30pm. The new room is lovely and clean and the bed is the size of my car. :)
Bottom line: Motel 6, please beef up your onsite security and try harder to curb the noise and unsafe conditions. I realize there's no easy solution to the homeless issue (other than giving people homes), but there has to be some happy medium where they can have a place to stay without disrupting other guests. I'll put her picture and video below where she is calling a lady and her daughter broke for not having a 1 dollar in cash for a room replacement key. Guest filmed the young lady and was evicted with her 4 small children without question or proper investigation. The city needs to invest in better locations for the people experiencing the type of hardship that would require respect from staff and program participants.
