If you want an interesting place to stay, it's a good choice. You have to be let into the gate during certain time frames. Other times the front gate is left open. The rear gate to get out automatically let's people out but not back in, so remains secure. You gotta go right past the front desk so they check who is coming in and verify that your a guest. we ordered a ground floor room, but were given an upstairs one. When we brought this up they quickly resolved it and gave us a ground floor room. The room was clean and simple. The beds were tall and firm. The TV was stuck on some sort of advertising mode because a little menu displaying the TV's hardware info wouldn't go away. We asked the front desk and was told someone would come. When we left and came back the TV was still doing the menu thing but we had our "do not disturb" sign on so that may be why it was not fixed. Either way we didn't really watch any TV so wasn't a huge deal. The soda machine was out of everything 4 of the 7 times we attempted to get any drink. Maybe it was just the times we tried. We spent most of the time outside in the little courtyard which was very nice. Chairs tables and umbrellas. A greatbarea to lounge in outside the room. This was easily our favorite part of the hotel. The last night we were there we came back around 2Am, when we were let in we were told that there might not be any parking. They had us park outside the hotel using street parking. This is the only thing that flat out sucked. Now it isn't in the nicest part of town, The selling point was the safety of being in a gated area. This means that there isn't enough spaces for each room. Or they don't have a one car per room rule I don't know. I hope they find a more efficient way of doing the parking spaces. There is also several rooms who's doors and Windows are in the path of the laundry rooms venting system. So if you open the split door, or crack the window you get a humid, fresh linen breeze into your room. It's a nice place , but doesn't feel like they have found their stride yet. I travel a lot and stay and many different types of hotels. This place feels like it's run by a younger group of people that perhaps have only been in this type of hospitality game for awhile. Doesn't feel as efficient or established as many other equivalent places; a lot going on the surface but issues with the foundation. All that said. I can see this place being great for a group of people because the rooms and courtyard is totally set you for socializing. When everything is closed up you do forget where you are and it's got some charm to it. Over all I'm a little spoiled at this point so I want that to be known. It's the first 3 star I have stayed in for at least 3 years. When I see it from that lense, my issues are small ones. I expect it will improve as most things do! All the staff were very friendly and the lady that had us park outside had us park next to her car which she did watch throughout the night. Overall it is a 3 star hotel. Which is not a bad or a good thing. They do not attempt to say otherwise. You absolutely get what is advertised, and for a good price for how clean and modern it was. One last thing and I hope they change it. The website said 12pm check out time, but it is actually 11am. We we were not charged for checking out at noon. Hope this helps...
Read moreI got tricked by their photos they had advertising the hotel for a 500 weekly rate. The Craigslist ad described it as a "Luxury Hotel Room" and the photos show very nicely decorated, clean rooms that are furnished with beautiful FURNITURE and decorative pillows, nice bedding and a chandelier. That couldn't be further from the truth!!!!. There was not ANY of the furniture seen in the photos. Just a very uncomfortable bed that isn't fancy. Nothing like the pretty pillows and nice bedding in photos. Just very plain, thin comforter. There was literally ONLY THE BED IN THE ROOM AS FAR AS FURNITURE. NONE OF THE NICE COMFY CHAIRS WITH PILLOWS ON THEM LIKE IN THE PHOTOS. THE LIGHTING WAS NOT A CHANDELIER. There was a mini fridge with a microwave (both not in good shape and not very clean). The microwave couldn't even reach the outlet to plug it in to use it BECAUSE IT WAS ON TOP OF THE FRIDGE BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT ANY FURNITURE IN THE ROOM. The doors are very strange. They are thin and not insulated and the door to my room couldn't even be safety latched because it was broken. The AC barely worked and there was NO filter at all in it. And the wall mounted TV was small, old, not high def and the sound on it was not good. The bathroom wasn't really great either. It was small and the toilet was very small and very close to the wall. The fan came on but didn't seem to ventilate well. I really felt mislead by the ad and wish that I had done my research before planning on staying there. I was so tired when I got there I wouldn't have been able to drive to a different hotel. I didn't notice how much the room was nothing like they made it out to be until I had already paid them for the week and was in the room and went back to the Craigslist ad to see why in the hell I had wanted to stay at that hotel.
Don't fall for the Craigslist special of 500 a week. IT DOESN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. THE PHOTOS ARE NICE BUT THE PLACE IS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. ITS NOT CLEANED WELL (THEY DONT CLEAN INSIDE THE FRIDGE OR MICROWAVE OR UNDER THE BED, THE SHUTTERS HAD GRIME ON THEM) I switched rooms twice and there were different issues with each room. There was something broken or missing in each room. IT IS RIDICULOUS TO THINK THAT YOU ARE GETTING A "LUXURY ROOM" with actual end tables and chairs and decor and ending up with AN EMPTY ROOM WITH NO DECOR AT ALL, NO BASIC FURNITURE, NO WHERE TO EVEN SIT DOWN TO RELAX EXCEPT THE BED. THERE WAS NOT ANYWHERE AT ALL TO EVEN HANG UP CLOTHES OR A CLOSET OR DRESSER. THERE WAS NOT EVEN A TOWEL RACK IN THE BATHROOM. THERE WAS LITERALLY NO WHERE AT ALL TO PUT A JACKET IF YOU WANTED TO HANG IT UP. I GUESS YOU HAVE TO SET IT ON THE BED BUT IF YOU WANT TO SIT OR LAY DOWN I GUESS YOU HAVE TO JUST PUT ALL YOUR STUFF ON THE FLOOR, WHICH IS NOT VERY CLEAN.
I KNOW I PROBABLY SOUND LIKE A KAREN BUT I REALLY FEEL RIPPED OFF. THEY ARE STILL ADVERTISING ON CRAIGSLIST WITH THE SAME BS PHOTOS. DON'T...
Read moreI’m a youngish lady and was going to Sacramento by myself for 2 nights. I don’t really know anyone in Sac so relied on the trip advisor reviews to help me choose a place to stay. I really didn’t want to break the bank as I knew I wouldn’t be spending a ton of time in the room but also wanted a place that felt safe, clean and at least somewhat stylish. ||||I got all of that with the Greens! First off the location is nice and secure which I really appreciated. My Uber driver on the way confirmed that it’s an “up and coming” neighborhood. I even walked to the liquor store in the daytime praying they’d have an iPhone charger (which they did) and along the way was greeted with hellos and how are yous from the other people walking down the street. I never felt unsafe at all! Although I can’t say I’d be strolling around at night. There also didn’t seem to be a ton of places to eat or hang in walking distance but Uber was always 3 minutes away and an 8 minute drive to some nice spots!||||I stayed in room Y which is a king size room on the bottom floor in the corner and is super cute! The bed was very comfy and I got great sleep! There is a keurig machine and a mini fridge in the room which is also nice. As mentioned in other reviews, there’s no closet or drawers but there is a place to hang about 6 items and 2 suitcase stands which was perfect for me. ||||There’s no desk in the room but I moved the lounge chair to the table by the tv and made it my make shift desk. Definitely not ergonomic but it worked. The bathroom is basic but clean and I appreciated that they didn’t skimp on the towels. ||||There are vending machines in the courtyard and I even sat out and ate my lunch one day as the sun set. I enjoyed it! I didn’t get to hang but the pool but it’s a cute quaint area. ||||It’s so secluded and tucked away that many of the Uber drivers couldn’t see where to go so I got in a habit of calling them first to guide them in. All in all it is leaps ahead of any other property you’ll find for the same price. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area and on...
