We purchased a puppy last year. She is one year old now. I can't tell you enough that this puppy has the best temperament. She was raised with two young kids and two smaller dogs. She is so gentle with the kids and the older dogs but a fierce protector and very loyal. With just minimal training she listens well, other dogs don't bother her nor is she reactive. She plays well with other dogs at dog parks and receives people well! We are still working on cars and people while in the car but I think we need more car trips to help that.

Mila and Jeff definitely care for their puppies. Mine did have worms in the beginning but Jeff helped with the types of dewormer to use and she's fine. I feed her a semi raw diet with supplements. This is normal by the way.

When she was a puppy less than 6 months she didn't tear everything up. We were there to watch her and she crate trained very well. Potty training was pretty much there she knew she had to go outside. Had maybe one or two accidents but then showed her where to go and she learned so fast. Very good downline for her genes and beauty! I get compliments all the time from other people from she's gorgeous to I wish my GSD would listen like yours.

She has been trained to be super gentle and doesn't like hitting or rough housing that sometimes she whimpers but we are working on that too. That just shows you how much love and compassion she has that she doesn't want any of her owners hurt. (My kids rough house and she doesn't want them getting hurt)

Her bark, my god, very intimidating and we like it because outsiders don't know how much of a gentle giant she is.

We waited to post this because I truly wanted to see how well this GSD was before immediately posting. I can say it's real.

While these dogs aren't necessarily working line, they can be trained like any other GSD dog and you can enjoy their beauty that comes with it.

The difference between breeders like these and ones that breed for protection is mainly price. You are literally paying 100k plus easily for protection dogs. Mila and Jeff's dogs are great for the intimidating factor (they can be trained for protection I'm assuming but it will cost a lot) and they're puppies that will grow with your family as mine has.

Now call me crazy, but I want a long haired GSD boy dog now.

My puppy is 85 lbs currently, female, 1 year old and still filling out!

Lastly, these doggies are full of energy so make sure they get lots of play time and running around!

We’ve had a hassle-free experience getting our beautiful German Shepherd puppy from Velknerhaus! The newest member of our family has a very calm temperament but also very protective. He is only a couple months old old and we’ve only had him for a few days but he’s already displaying his commitment to protecting us - Jeff mentioned to us that our dog will never let anyone near us unless we allow it and he is absolutely correct! Additionally, we feel reassured given that our puppy was under Jeff and Mila’s care before bringing him home. Jeff is a vet tech and quite knowledgeable about German Shepherds and dogs in general, so he’s been able to answer all of our questions. When you speak with him, it is quite evident that he is very passionate about what he does.
