The worst Sure Stay in the area, we only ever stay here as a matter of last resort. We have family that works for Best Western. In short, the rooms are janky. They're undergoing "renovation" but none of their tradesmen know how to finish the job properly. Some of the bathroom doors are more drywall spackle than wood. Most room doors and bathroom doors show signs of forced entry and haphazard repair - expect bathroom doors that barely shut and light peaking through the edges of the room door. Our window didn't have a screen at all. Most of the room doors are not weather sealed - expect cigarette smoke coming into your room from other guests. Highway noise can be heard in every building except the northernmost. Our bedframe was "repaired" with tape and it's literally falling apart. The TVs usually have universal remotes that barely function. Expect other guests blasting their TVs and having loud phone conversations you can hear in full. Monica is the worst customer service agent anywhere I've ever stayed - from some kind of bizarre obsession about the number and state of the towels to completely ignoring reasonable requests. We're never thrilled to see her unhappy face. Perhaps if the motel paid more than minimum wage they would have better quality staff. They have a real rockstar with Urvi but that doesn't matter when she's not on shift. Breakfast is the worst - expect sausage links floating in water and grease. The eggs are also similarly afloat. The male breakfast attendant smells like armpits within a 3 foot radius. The coffee is awful and the creamers are also disgusting, I use milk to cool my coffee because the options provided are gross. There are so many people who don't stay at the hotel eating and leaving with cups and plates stacked high. The TV is often tuned to political content instead of neutral programming - I don't eat breakfast with the news in the background. Other guests have TVs in their own rooms, we shouldn't all be subject to overly loud volume and talking heads over our meals. The parking lot is always in disrepair - sad for a place hoping to cater to electric vehicles with their recently installed chargers. They need to tear up what's there and change the grade so things actually drain properly. I far prefer the other Sure Stay and Best Western locations in town for their quality and staff.

It's funny how when you read reviews how people wanna bad mouth a place....ex.."the food sucked or they ran out"....but when they ran out make sure you also comment what time you went to get the free food. We went at 815am, yes they were out of eggs, pastries, and bread. But they quickly made more eggs. The staff also said they had 160 people come for breakfast which was probably unexpected for them. In there defense, there is a lot of events going on this weekend as well. People commented, "oh I can hear the freeway and the train, so I will definitely not be returning!" Oh shut up. Yes you can hear it, but it's not like it's running outside your window. And for the rooms that face the freeway, the noise is not that loud. This hotel is also finishing up a total remodel as it didnt used to be a Best Western. For those that complain about SMALL STUFF, if you want the glitz and glamour then maybe you should stay at a more pricier hotel in the heart of downtown. This hotel is "off the beaten path". The rooms are very nice. It is about 10 minutes back into downtown. Overall we were pleased………All the above was from our last stay 4 years ago…..this stay is not as great at last time. First we checked in around midnight….and the guy that checked us in had his shirt half unbuttoned….gave us our keys and said it’s on the backside by the pool…. He should have said it’s on the backside facing the Buddha Temple…. No towels in the room. One full roll of toilet paper and a half used roll… we went down this morning to ask for what we needed and the lady this morning was apologetic and got what we needed and stated that we would get more towels later. When I went to shower, the water pressure is good, but the shower curtain doesn’t fully cover. Both front of the shower and back of shower are open, so water ends up on the floor. The breakfast was ok…The bed is comfortable. The parking lot last night was filthy. The smell of cigarettes and weed… this trip is definitely different than last time. This hotel seems like it’s going downhill..Hopefully today is better.

This hotel is extremely ghetto. These people stare at you without greeting you. The rooms look nice but there very deceiving. The room wasn’t properly cleaned. I spent over $500 staying here and not once received housekeeping on any of the 7 days I was in attendance. There was hair in the shower and stains on the curtains, walls, Ac unit, coffee maker and towels. The bed creaks so bad, and it’s so loud. There was even an open whole in the wall. They also had a loose screw on what seems to have been a towel rack which look very dangerous. I’ve been a supervisor for a hotel before and if I were the inspector, the housekeepers would have had to properly get their job done. We know they work hard but a quick once over on some of these things ESPECIALLY since we’re going through a pandemic, would’ve sufficed. I also had issues with payment. I booked through Priceline, paid in full, but since the system was down they couldn’t find certain reservations. They came around banging on doors asking if we were staying over. Later that day, I was called by front desk who said to me “you were suppose to check out today but you’re still in the room” I explained that I booked another stay for a couple more days and he told me to call Priceline because he couldn’t find my reservation. I did what I was told and then went downstairs. I was then told about the system being down again and all third party reservations were lost. If he would’ve said that to me on the phone instead of disrespectfully saying what he said, I wouldn’t have mentioned this issue. Thankfully the manager who was not on the site at the time fixed the issue in 5 minutes that he claimed he spent majority of the day trying to fix. They did apologize about the situation but they definitely need training in customer etiquette. The common areas are disgusting as well.

Not really impressed with arrival on site. And is very disappointed. When entering the room, the wall and the ceiling had some dark colored streak and spots. The mirror has spots and wasn't dusted either. Black hair in the refrigerator. The floor had some small rocks that you can feel it. The picture frame is not dusted. The t.v. isn't really wiped clean.

The bathroom door was dirty to notice the hand prints. I wiped it clean because who knows how long it been there.

There's no soap condiment to wash hands except the wall mounted shampoo conditioner and body wash on the wall in bathroom.

Spider web with spider living on smoke detector. The mattress isn't vacuumed when it should be. Lots of small speckled stuff when observing the cleanliness for sleeping. The sheets could be cleaned more to make it spot less from old stains. Pillows have stains ! Good thing I brought my own in case .

I put my luggage on the luggage stand and my stuff on the counter because I don't trust the floor isn't deep clean. My feet gets very dirty just from walking around in the small room after showers. And I proved myself with the towel. It's horrible dirty!!! And I saw a dark spot, I wiped it clean , it came off. When observing the maid equipment using the swifter mop thingy. They could use better flooring cleaner.

Was excited for a swim since the pictures as shown very clean and blue , its one of reason why I chose this hotel. unfortunately the pool is yucky green color with pollen on top in distance. Upclose it turned out to be Vomited in there. Its a BiG NOPE!! The Spa is very cloudy and has funky smells. That's A BIG NOPE also!!

Checking out the excerise room. Two equipment. One is running treadmill and the other is a pulling machine that's it. No weights.

The breakfast services. The guest information in the room says it Serves from 8AM to 9AM. At the breakfast room. There's a sign days 7AM to 9AM. Saturday morning it was a simple breakfast with scrambled egg and sausages. There's cereal dispenser. Yogurt and fruits. Coffee. The juice machine was out of order. There's toaster with bread.

The Saturday attendance worker was very slow or lazy with checking things up. I arrived at 815AM. The eggs was almost out and the sausages almost gone. By 830AM There's more people arriving for breakfast. They was disappointed not having a decent meal because it's out by 820AM. There was no eggs, sausage, no bread. The attendance didn't show up the last 45 minutes checking making sure these food stocked up the guest. Sunday Attendance was different person, she was a wonderful worker. She checks every 10 minutes making sure there's food and coffee. The guests was very pleased. Keepng bread stocked. Making sure Yogurt was refilled in refrigerator.

I had two plates of eggs with sausages and other round with small portion of eggs and potatoes. You can request a tray to bring in your room if you like.

There's too many people smoking Marijuana on the site. Near the doors which smoking should be at least 25 feet away from the buildings.

The parking was great and is pleased having a night security on site checking the parking lot.

This will be my first and last reservation of this hotel. This hotel need s alot of work renovation to do. Until I see better reviews in the future. This stay is cheaper , the quality of the hotel is not so great , if you want to reserve, be mindful of the 3 or...

To be clear - I did not stay here. However, my experience with hotel staff was horrendous - that alone will guarantee that I never do stay here, regardless of price or location. About 6 months ago I made a reservation for 3 nights at this hotel, via Booking.com. Free cancellation was offered both from the property and through the site. About a month ago, we were informed that the event we planned to attend went virtual due to COVID, so I cancelled the reservation through the site, messaged and emailed the property directly, and received an email stating that the cancellation was complete and I would receive a refund. About 24 hours later I saw the charge (that had initially been authorized on the card by the property 24 hours after the original reservation) was now pending on my card. I emailed and texted again - I tried a phone call to the property, but the desk clerk was busy and said the manager was unavailable, to call again later. Due to work commitments I was out the next week. When I got back to this, on 11 Oct, I saw that my credit card had been charged the original room charge, plus another 135 USD. I contacted the property directly - the first 3 phone calls were either the line being picked up so I could listen to people talking on the other end, or being picked up then disconnected. When the desk clerk finally answered, I ended up having to explain the situation 3 times, due to be disconnected during the call repeatedly. He then put me on hold for 10 mins to speak with a "manager". I was again disconnected 2 more times. Finally he told me that the manager said this wasn't their problem, I went through a third party site, and that they didn't tell them the reservation was cancelled, so I was charged as a no-show. I then pointed out that I messaged, emailed and called their property up until 4 Oct with no response - and that the property, not the booking site, charged my card - and said that his explanation was "BS" and he needed to let me speak with the manager. At that point, I was disconnected yet again, and my number has been blocked from calling the hotel. I did go through the booking site, and will end up getting a refund in a week or so, one way or the other. But the hassle, the ridiculous "IDGAF" attitude of the clerk, the constant attempts to disconnect me, and the overall hassle means that this hotel is permanently blocked for any future Sacramento stays. Judging from other reviews - it deserves it. Good luck to anyone who...
