I book into this hotel because this was the closest motel from the truck parking garage lot. We had to walk close to a mile to get to the motel
The front desk personnel did not seem happy when she saw my dog with dirty paws. My dogās paw was dirty because she had to walk on the wet grass as much as possible to avoid the hot pavement that was burning her feet. I explained to her why her foot was dirty and I told her that I am going to wipe her feet clean before I entered the motel. I wipe her foot clean and proceed to go in She kept asking me why my dog is so dirty. I had to repeat myself about 3 times and thatās when I loss my temper. She ask for a 300 dollar deposit cash and I said fine ,and gave her my credit card. She later reduce it to 50 dollars. On my way to checkout, I was met with a friendly hostess.
In regards to other comments of the hostess being rude, I think itās because they dealt with these issues with pet owners before and worry about pets leaving a mess or destroying their property. Either way, the owner or management should adopt a more friendly and professional attitude towards customers that conform to the hospitality industry .
The motel is great for its value and pet friendly atmosphere. Itās quite clean and organized for a typical motel . I been to a few motel 6 and they are crappy but this one is okay. Not a lot of motels have free pet stay and if they do have it, they charge an arm and a leg. . If you looking for a decent place and have a pet, this place is not bad. Also bring your shampoo and hair dyer cause they only offer soap
Pro - Affordable , somewhat clean and organized. Dogs welcome. No cats though Soda machine . Fast food restaurant around the motel
Con- Behind a few business. You need to look for an entrance which is right next to McDonald. Customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreScammed out of my pet deposit. Before I booked I called and asked if itās pet friendly and if I could have my cat with me, they said yes I just have to pay a pet deposit of $50. When I get there I confirm again with the person at the check in desk if itās pet friendly and if I can have my cat with me, they say yes and I paid the $50 pet deposit. A few days after I check out I call to ask if they know when Iāll get my pet deposit back. The woman was EXTREMELY rude literally yelling at me, saying that they donāt accept cats. I told her thatās not what I was told, that I had asked twice beforehand, and I even had a conversation with the girl at the front desk at the time of check in about my cat being a rescue etc. If they donāt accept cats why did they take my pet deposit in the first place? I called motel 6 customer service and they confirmed with me that itās pet friendly and cats are allowed, and they questioned why the owner said that they werenāt in the first place. Customer service then gets a hold of the front desk and she changes her story saying that we trashed the hotel room, and that theyāre keeping the $50 for a cleaning fee. Which is an absolute lie once again, I always make sure to clean everything before I leave when I stay somewhere to be nice and to help out housekeeping. I swept the floors, cleaned the counters, and made the bed. After reading the reviews it seems that a lot of other people have had their deposits taken away as well, and a lot of people have had trouble with this same women. (Sheās the older Indian woman) Sheās bad for business and scamming people out of their deposits. Just a horrible person in general and extremely mean and hateful. Please do not stay here and be cautious, because she will do whatever she can to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate to knock this place down a star because it's been great overall for a budget, no-frills hotel.... especially for the price. We decided to leave after one night for another Motel 6 in North Richland Hills for supposedly better amenities. Big, big mistake !!! That place is a run down, rat hole. Cancelled and high-tailed it back over to Motel 6 Saginaw for 2 more nights.
Observations from staying on 2nd floor rooms (1st night Rm 214 with 1 queen bed on parking lot side, 2nd & 3rd nights on backside in Rm 221 with 2 double beds): parking lot side was quieter but with more bright lights from street lights. It did let more light in around the curtains than the backside but didn't bother my wife or I (one reviewer was highly annoyed by this). Although darker on the backside, you are going to have to put up with the occasional train rumbling by and blowing it's horn for roughly 30 seconds.
Pros:
Cheap, clean, not old and worn, fairly well maintained, no carpet, laundry facilities ( 2 front loaders, 2 stacked dryers, exchange your dollars for quarters at the desk and get your detergent, dryer sheets in the candy vending machine, lol), lots of cable channels, fairly quiet, decently comfortable beds, luggage carts, no charge for pets
Cons: 1) no room microwave or coffee maker (2 microwaves in the lobby), P.S. microwaves will probably be dirty from other guests not covering their food even though hotel provided a plate cover. Also due to Covid restrictions no lobby coffee maker. 2) no bathroom fan (shower fog or your poo smell will linger for a bit). 3) narrow parking spaces, 4) no iron or hair dryer, 5) 2x2 mini fridge, 6) situated in more of an industrial area (forklift...
