I stayed here because I had some free nights left over from Wyndhams point program & this was the hotel in Salina where points could be used. Even though I have more free nights, I’d rather pay for another hotel in Salina than stay here again. Room was pretty dirty. Carpet looks as though it hasn’t been vacuumed in a while (not sure what was all over the floor), table tops hadn’t been wiped down (sticky pop can type residue/marks), splatter of some sort on the tv screen, dusty headboard behind mattress, the bathroom had a missing light cover that’s above the shower (inside this fixture was caked with dirt, dust, etc), and sink had hair all over in the tray where they sit your coffee maker and coffee supplies (most likely left over shavings from a previous occupancy). Several guys outside my room each night drinking and congregating until around 10:30 at night. Deadbolt on door was missing, so I called the front desk to see if I could switch rooms but no other single rooms were available. Night front desk clerk was very nice, but he did advise that the guys outside drinking and congregating stay there often and they haven’t had any issues. Still not exactly a comfortable situation for females traveling alone and no deadbolt on the room door. I placed the do not disturb sign on the outside of my door since I had planned on sleeping in until 8:30am. Housekeepers ignored the “do not disturb” sign and banged on the door shouting “house keeping!” Multiple times in a row at 9:30am. I was just getting out of the shower, so I had to rush out throw clothes on and get to the door. When I opened the door and asked them if I hung the correct “do not disturb” sign on the door and if so, why were they asking if I needed housekeeping? None of the workers banging on my door knew English and had no idea about the “do not disturb” sign or what I was saying. Steam from the shower set the fire alarm off in the room. The only thing positive was the night front desk clerk and no bed bugs that I could see. Would not recommend a stay at...
Read moreDriving through Salina to Wyoming and needed a place to crash for a few hours. Booked this hotel through a 3rd party. Arrived to check in to find nobody in the lobby. A man came on a video screen to check me in. I had to allow him to scan my driver's license and either pay $100 cash deposit for any damages (to be refunded the next morning) or give him a credit card number to have on file in case there were damages. The lack of customer service and being able to talk to a live person is a big negative for me. The room itself wasn't too bad as we were exhausted and just wanted to sleep for a bit. We paid extra for the King size bed. We had to sleep in the middle right up next to each other because both sides of the bed had a big sinking hole in the mattress. Had to turn the A/C down to 66 to get the room cool. We were happy we could at least get breakfast before heading out. They offered coffee plus small containers of apple juice and orange juice. They had prepackaged muffins. That was all they offered for food. The only good thing I can say is that it was quiet considering it sat right off the expressway. We will not...
Read moreThis motel only deserves 1/2 a star. I booked this room because the pictures online MAKE IT LOOK MUCH NICER than it really is When drove up I thought I was at the wrong location as it looks like the motel is about to fall down. I raised my eyebrows again in the lobby, because it was so sparse of furniture, made me think maybe it was really closed for business, but the checkin agent was talking on the phone to get someone to fix a water leak, so that was another Red flag. Then the card key wouldn't work, they told me I had to jiggle the door...hmmm..really??? Finally got into my room, which I have to admit was clean, but with the bare minimum necessities. Then about 11pm, people kept knocking on my door as they walked by. So I kept getting up and down all night checking on my car to see if it was ok, everytime something new knocked on my door. It was the worst night I'd ever had, I DIDNT FEEL SAFE AT ALL....HUGE 3RD RED FLAG. So at 3AM I decided I'd had enough, got up, showered and left at 4AM. I felt safer in my car because I was out of that motel. Worst experience ever.
So...you truly do get what...
