My husband and I stayed here in Sept 2024 for two nights and were satisfied with the hotel.||From beginning to end, the staff was excellent - each staff member we interacted with was courteous, helpful, cheerful, and took extra steps to ensure our stay was pleasant. ||The room was clean and spacious, likely because they have a queen bed rather than a king, which we liked. The bathroom toiletries are Sonesta brand (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap); there was no body or hand lotion. Since we were only staying two nights, we said no housekeeping service was needed if they could provide extra bath towels, which they did immediately. The shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure, with a massage option that came in handy when rinsing my long hair. ||There is a small sundries area across from the front desk which includes a freezer for frozen goods. A few doors down the hall is the laundry room where you can find a cold case which is stocked with beverages (juices, energy drinks, etc.) You bring your items to the front counter and pay the front desk staff. If you want alcohol for your room, the nearest DABS state liquor store is at 1255 W North Temple St, 1.5 miles away.||In the late afternoon, the staff makes fresh hot popcorn with butter and flavored powders available, and also sets out a variety of candies which are free for guests. This was an unexpected and nice touch.||The room and hotel in general need updating, which appears to be in the beginning stages (while we were there, the room door locks were being upgraded). Parking was $5 per day, which was surprising as it’s not in a crowded area with minimal parking like downtown. ||The hotel offers airport shuttle service, but we were leaving very early so the shuttle was not yet available. However, the staff offered to supply us with an Uber ride to the airport at no charge.||Overall, we had a pleasant stay but likely wouldn’t return as we prefer a more updated/refreshed hotel in an area closer to grocery stores/Walmart/food options. However, the staff was excellent and prices very reasonable so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it…especially if you need a place for longer term as it has a clean laundry room, full kitchen, and...
Read moreIf you have kids, it's not kid friendly and neither is the morning staff. I had a long talk with the Manager Cheyenne the second day we were there, we were supposed to be there for a month because our house was burnt down but Cheyenne said they don't wanna know about our situation. Cheyenne the Manager came upstairs opened my door and asked if I could talk to her. Cheyenne said there was a few problems was brought to her attention, like two accidentally broken glasses from my two year old. The front desk operator didn't sound happy that we asked for two new glasses (seriously?). Cheyenne also brought up to my attention "kids" running up and down the hall last night when there were teenagers in their boxers playing football in our hall we were on. Towards the end of our long talk, after I apologized for her complaints, Cheyenne then says our insurance company called by the way and said you only have three days left here at this hotel and that we would need to call them and see what's going on. Cheyenne also mentioned she has no problem with us staying there but it's mainly the customers being sensitive to the noise level. Cheyenne continues to mention that our Insurance Company did call in last night to the hotel and changed our stay to three days and she's not sure why. Comes to find out Cheyenne the very same lady and "Manager" I just had a conversation with called our Insurance Company and complained that there were seven children piled up in one room with no guardians there the very first night we had arrived! Which was not true at all. We were all there. I'm appalled with her dishonesty and the uncomfortable situation not just when we first arrived but when Cheyenne came upstairs the very next day she already called my Insurance and complained already had her list ready for us. We immediately took our business else where the very next day we heard from our Insurance Company. I'm disgusted with the stereotyping the "Manager" Cheyenne had on us. That is all.

Read moreI would have rated my stay here a lot higher, unfortunately I cannot rate this place higher than 1 star because of how our last night of a 7 night stay ended. On our last night there, my boyfriend and I decided to go do some laundry. It was about 2 am. We were able to use the washers for free. Upon starting the laundry, we got a cup of coffee and I had also traded out the towels and sheets for fresh ones at the front desk. After finding out we would have to load $10 for a $3 dryer, we got our wet clothes to go hang them to dry in our room. When we got to our door, we found a rolled up note in the key card reader that stated due to unforseen circumstances we would have to leave the hotel at 11 am checkout. I was confused, but decided to go to sleep and planned on figuring out what was wrong in the morning by 11 am. Then at 730 am, we got a call from what I assume was the manager, telling us that we would have 30 minutes to get off the premises or the police would be called. I asked him why? He claimed that we had stolen from them and that we needed to leave. I tried to ask him what it was that we had stolen? Was it the cup of coffee or was it a single tide pod I used in the laundry room? It was for sure a misunderstanding as we had not stolen anything. He just kept reiterating that the cops would be called if we weren’t out in 30 minutes.
A couple days later, there was an additional $600 charge on our credit card for “stolen linens and towels”! I can assure you, nothing from this hotel was taken by us.
So whether it was the coffee or the tide pod, I will never know. All I know is the way we were ran out of this hotel was unnecessary and then to be charged hundreds of dollars for something we did not do is...
