Tacos Doña Mary L.L.C. — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

My disclaimer: I'm old and I don't like standing out in the sun. Although there wasn't a line, it still took 10 minutes to take my order. I suspect they were working on a call-in order. In order to claim that this place is "Dine In" you have to accept pulling up a curb and sitting in the hot parking lot. I saw the reviews about the Huarache Combo and wanted to give it a try. While I was waiting for my order, a lunchtime group of ladies stood around for 10 or 15 minutes and eventually gave up and drove next door to Taco Bell. This is not the kind of place you go to if you have a short lunch-time window. Someone claimed that it takes 20 minutes to get the Huarache, it took every bit of those minutes and everyone behind you has to wait. I have to say that the Combo looked good on the outside but was rather plain tasting (the bread was over toasted, and the meat tasted plain (unseasoned)). You expect something to taste better the longer that you wait for it. That is not the case. I'm glad that these folks have a following, but in the future, I will walk next door where I can sit down as I wait...

I was there yesterday and ordered 9 tacos The asada, spicy chicken, the pork with cactus in salsa verde and oh my god They were fantastic !!! The nopales(cactus) was so tender tasted grilled along with the pork it went very well!!!! The spicy chicken was amazing it was tender and juicy with great flavor

This is the best taco truck stand, i come from california and we know about taco trucks stands and street tacos!! These are legit street tacos!!! The salsa is so good and dont forget the agua frescas!! Ive tried pineapple, limon, and the horchata!! The horchata was amazinnng! They gave me a sample of it and next time i go ill be buying the horchata!!!! Id love to try the huaraches next !!

I love that fact that it looks like a father and son taco truck so family oriented and they are very nice and sweet! They speak both spanish and english

Delicious 😋 I have very limited understanding of Mexican Food especially for street vendors. And usually I can see the pictures on a menu and decide if it’s for me but that was sort of limited here. But The lovely lady gave me a recommendation and walked me through the ingredients in order to see if there was anything I didn’t like and for me that would be cabbage. Long story short I walked away with an awesome burrito 🌯. About the only bad thing I would say is the atmosphere it’s in a parking lot next to a Taco Bell and the homeless. The Food truck could be newer looking but these are just nick picks. Other than that I highly recommend you go and give this place a try. You’ll be glad...
