Taco Bell — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

DO NOT GO TO THIS TACO BELL!!

This is the closest Taco Bell to my work, so it I attempt to get a good meal there every so often. Unfortunately, more often than not, I have a really bad experience.

Just a few weeks ago I went there at about 3:00. It was lunch time, but AFTER the lunch rush. I did have 3 orders, which I guess their policy is only 2 orders. This is obviously frustrating when you have no cash and only 3 credit cards. It was slow and I was the ONLY car in the drive through. One of the 3 orders was simply one bean and cheese burrito. I asked if I could do the 3 orders and was completely refused. So I added the burrito to my 2nd order. When I got to the window I asked if I could pay for the burrito separately and was again refused. At this point there were still NO cars in the drive thru. I asked him what he would like me to do to pay for it separately and he told me I needed to drive around the building and go through the drive thru again. Frustrated, I pulled out, drove around the building, straight through the drive thru (still NO cars!) and back to the window. He opened the window and acted like he had never seen me before. He asked what he could help with and I told him I was back to pay for the burrito. His response was "what burrito?" I couldn't believe it. He told me I would need to pull up to the board to order my burrito. Furious, I pulled around the building again, went to the board, and ordered a burrito. Through all of this, there was not one single car that tried to come through the drive thru, other than me. Three times.

Yesterday I decided to give them another shot. I went there and ordered a nacho fries box. However, I know this location is stingy with the seasoning on the fries, so I asked for extra seasoning. I was told that is impossible (which I know it is not because I have done it at the location right next to my home several times). I asked for the manager and asked him to please put extra seasoning on my fries. I was again told this was impossible. I informed him that I have done it before with zero issues, and he snapped back saying that they should never have done that in the first place. I questioned his reasoning and he told me that they can't do it because there is no way for them to charge me more for it (yes, he wanted to charge me extra for SEASONING!!). I told him nevermind and that I was going to go to a different Taco Bell, to which he responded "have a great day". I drove by the drive thru, flipped him their well deserved bird, and went to Wendy's across the street (which was fantastic by the way! GO WENDY'S!!)

This was the last straw with this location. I will never go back. I hope they tank and are forced to close their doors. Shout out to this Taco Bell! You suck!

When it rains, their drive through gets flooded 10 inches. Makes it impossible to drive through without risking damaging your car. But this is not the true Sin of this place.

I was the lone person in drive through and it took 6 min to take my order. The young man said to hold on and he would be with me shortly... 6 min later, I'm saying through the speaker "hello, when will you take my order?"

A woman replied, "just another minute". Then my simple #9 order took additional 4 minutes. The food was sloppy but tasted good and not made anywhere near the standard of Taco Bell. This place is sad and sorry, they have a high turnover of employees and the same supervisor/manager who took my money, went to make my food without Gloves or washing her hands!! Then when I confronted her as she gave me my food, she said she used hand sanitizer! What a total liar!

She has a different button up dress shirt which is why, I assume she's one of the managers/supervisor.

I am not impressed at Todd location, because this has been one too many of over 6 previous incidents of poor service or horribly prepared food! It taste great but it's inconsistent in how they make it.

I work in the area and it's the only taco bell type restaurant near there. When I Uber drive and pick up fares at the airport and they ask for a taco bell, I always always suggest other location or different restaurant near there. Why? Because the management and staff ruin the experience and food we have come to expect from Taco Bell! How can corporate allow this? I guess commenting here and posting the truth isn't enough!? But at least I did my part to warn others. Go at your own risk.

Additional note... I've never been there in the lunch daytime hours, so I can't speak for AM shift staff. My horrible experiences have all been in late night time between...

My parents flew in from out of town for the holidays and after picking them up from the airport we decided to stop in and grab a bite, when we got there we we're greeted nicely,made or order and received in a super fast time, my parents noticed they we're hiring and my brother looking for something decided to apply ,after or delicious meal my brother asked to see the manager who he had spoke with earlier about the position so a employee said she was unavailable and that he would get the district manager that happened to be there, Great even better. So he was greeted and said he spoke with the manager earlier and the Dm said rudely "well i am the District manager " so my brother said her name and the DM pronounced the name wrong so my brother said the name again and he insisted to pronounce the name wrong again and that there was no one there by that name and if we we're sure we had the right location and he said YES i just spoke with her ,so after a little argument on name pronunciation the DM said "well what do you want" as a the application is still being handed to him my brother said yes i filled this out and i would to get it to her.Well the DM said "for what ?" and a confused look on all of our faces including other employees no coming to see what the fuss is about, he snatched the form and darted for the back..no words just a grunt and we left.So this guy was extremely rude and unprofessional and i will definitely not return to this location and maybe any other locations i am definitely telling my friends And family not to go there. Excellent food very disappointed...
