Great location. Now on to the bad stuff. Rooms: 1/5. We found mold in our room, it reeked of cigarettes, I'm amazed there weren't bed bugs. It was disgusting. I've never seen such a horrid hotel, and I have seen my fair share from cheap to expensive. Service: 1/5. What a joke. We went in to complain regarding the mold. There was no apology. The only amount they could refund was 10% because "we took too long to complain." When you drive for 5 hours to get somewhere, you're not exactly in the most chipper of shape so I'm sorry that it took me an hour to come in and talk about this. That doesn't excuse the fact that there's mold in the room. And mold doesn't develop over the course of an hour. Or maybe it does and we're on the verge of some super fungus killing us all? But I really really doubt that. But once again, they don't apologize. They offered a MUCH cheaper room (but of course I would still be paying my full room rate for that) and beyond that, they threatened to call the police on us, specifically my partner, a black woman, at the mere notion of our complaint. Also, side note, the pool was out. For the summer. In a beach town. HOW? For $180 I should not have to deal with this joke of a place or their racist service. Don't go here. You will get better value at a motel 6.

All in all, Hotel Rose Garden served its purpose as a place to stop on our road trip. As others have said, the facility is outdated and can use some renovation. The mattresses were squeaky and not very comfortable. The carpet is old and very dirty. Our kids ended up with dirty feet within minutes of walking around on the floor. I'm not sure what kind of vacuum cleaners are used, but they probably need to be replaced in addition to the carpet. Because the location is so close to the airport, I would not recommend this hotel for those who are light sleepers. Also, every step we took in our room on the second floor produced creaking (sorry to those who were below us!). The continental breakfast was nice in that it saved us some money as we traveled, but it could have been better. Waffle batter caked the counter around the waffle maker, the fruit was over ripe or bruised, and the juice was watered down. I would reconsider staying here in the future if the facilities were improved, but I would probably recommend other facilities first.

This place is a joke by management. Please read reviews first. I wish I had. I recently stayed on the 15th Sept. The pool was still empty, the ice vending still not working. The room smelled horrible of mildew and rancid. The carpet was soaked in 3 different spots, the bottom mattress side was stained and if the bed skirt was on properly I probably wouldn't have seen it. The room very outdated the smoke detector squaked all night, Was offered another room, But declined because it was the only jacuzzi room. Offered a refund which was not noted. I checked out and Cesar told me to email to reservations, "management" with no reply, and was told she would return Thursday. Got a hold of manager "Sheila" she then told me I needed to contact expedia which I did because it was 3rd party. Now Expedia is saying they can not reach or get an approval for my refund from the hotel. If your looking for a nice place to rest your head this IS not it.

4 year testimonial. DONT EVER LEAVE VALUABLES IN UR ROOM. 4 years I have stayed here monthly. Again - four years! Booked and paid for 2 nights. First morning I leave for an hour and when I return - my room window lock has been removed and the windows to my UNIT WAS WIDE OPEN. In 4 years no one has ever entered my room. But yesterday my room was entered by staff, the window lock was removed, and in spite of my belongings being in the room, anyone could have easily entered my unit from the walkway to my room. I told the front desk. They were not helpful. No apology. No refund at all. Nada. Zilch. The manager said sorry but also justified that the housekeepers open windows when they clean. In 4 years never a housekeeper entered. Yesterday someone entered with a key card and unlocked my window and then opened it completely so that anyone could come in. I deserve at least a partial refund. Shame on them. If only we could reach the owner so that they can do better. So that they can train their staff. So that they can all do better. Shane Shame shame. First is the giant error to leave my window wide open, to remove the lock, and then to handle this all so poorly when it was brought to your attention. SHAME! When they closed the pool I said no biggie it's a good area. When they cut back brkfst I said ok no biggie. When they canceled breakfast and the pool I said no biggie. When I told the front desk that on property a man exposed himself and the front desk showed no care I said no biggie. U enter my room, u take off the window lock, you open my window fully knowing that anyone can easily enter - so now u have a problem. Go somewhere else if have a laptop or phone or anything of value. Because when u return the window lock may be already removed and the window to your unit may likely be wide wide wide open. Shame on them. Again I have been here for 4 years. This is my last...

Extremely Misleading. Beware Before Booking This hotel’s online listing is completely misleading. The pool is out of service, no breakfast is provided (despite what the website says), the ice machine is always broken, and the only vending machine offers snacks. They even allow non-guests attending nearby concerts to park in the lot, making parking frustrating for paying guests.

On August 2nd, the day of the Morgan Wallen concert, I arrived 30 minutes before check-in. The front desk told me “check-in at 3, no exceptions.” I came back later 4:30 PM only to find a jam-packed lobby full of other frustrated guests, many of whom were also told their rooms wouldn’t be ready until “later in the day.” The owner refused to offer discounts, telling guests they’d still pay full price regardless of delays.

I wasn’t able to check in until 6:30 PM hours after the stated time. Room 216, which I was given, did not match the online photos. The grounds had dead grass, the empty pool was surrounded by old furniture and glass panels, and amenities advertised online didn’t exist.

The bathroom had no ventilation, mold on the ceiling, dirty floors, and very limited toilet paper. The ceiling between both beds also had mold. My “stay” was basically paying for a bed no comfort, no amenities.

What made this worse: after leaving, I found extra charges on my invoice. They added $0.24 in “damages” and $10 for two supposedly “stained” washcloths. I only used the room to sleep and shower nothing that could justify such charges.

I regret not taking photos, but I want to warn others:

You may not get your room at the reserved time. You might be charged for false damages. None of the amenities advertised are actually available. If you just need a basic bed and don’t mind missing amenities, late check-ins, and surprise charges, this might work for you. Otherwise...

You get what you paid for.... first off when i checked in i confirmed with the front desk clerk that this was a non smoking room and he had said yes but when we walked into the room it was definitely a smoking room that reeked so i called down to let them know but they had said they were sold out and we basically had no choice so we let that slide, second off we found dirty underwear under our bed called down let them know and they said they would be up but it took them 30 min and me to go down to the front desk to remind them then the front desk clerk came asked where it was picked it up with his bare hands and walked out.. said nothing didnt apologize, we let that slide also then in one one of the drawers there was a needle no that was our last straw we had kids in the room and we went down to the front desk and asked if they had a different room or could give us a discount he said he had a cancelation and that we could look in it so we go and it was just as horrible with garbage left in the bathroom and wreaked like garbage as well so we decided to stay in our room but i wanted a discount and he said that the manager wasnt going to be in till monday mind you this was all on saturday so we stayed but the bathrooms are disgusting mold and stained walls, we also got dirty towels and our bed sheets we dirty. then i call on monday to ask for the manager and they said he wasnt in and he would take my name and number and it is thursday now and havent got a call this place needs some better housekeeping and...
