I've stayed at this property multiple times and I'm sad to say I was absolutely shocked with how much service and cleanliness has gone down hill since my first stay just a few months ago. This time, I came to the hotel after 3 to check in, I booked a suite and was told that the only suite available to check into was an ADA room, I agreed to the room because I didn't want to wait any longer to check in. At first glance the room seemed ok, but I book these rooms for the convenience of the kitchenette. I found this room only had one pot, no pans. The front desk seemed busy so I went out to buy cooking utensils instead of bothering anyone. Later in the evening I was setting up my sons bed on the pull out couch, when we pulled out the bed there was trash stuff inside and crumbs all over it. We forfeited using the extra bed and all 3 of us just decided to sleep in the king bed. When I laid down to go to bed and turn off the light, I noticed that there were fake eyelashes stuck to the light, it was so gross. I did call the front desk but when we called for sheets it took some time for anyone to answer and to bring sheets, I'm sure the front desk agent was by herself. So instead of being a bother we just decided to go to bed, it was only for one night afterall but was looking forward to a comfortable night away.||||The next day after checking out, I realized I had forgot my pillow in the room. I called to ask if houskeeping had reported it found, I gave the front desk agent my name and phone number and was advised I would receive a call back shortly. I waited two hours and no call back was received, so I drove back to the hotel instead. I advised the front desk agent I had spoken to someone two hours ago and hadn't received a call back and just asked if she could check if the pillow was found, her initial response to me was "I just got in about 30 mins ago so it wasn't me who you spoke with", as if I was looking for someone to blame, I just wanted someone to check if my pillow had been found. I explained to her the color of the pillow and what room and when I checked out and she asked for my phone number again. I asked if she could have someone check now since I've been waiting for some time and her response was "I'm busy right now, I can't". Now I worked in hotels for 7 years of my life, most of that time managing the front desk and never in my life would I respond to a paying customer that I'm too busy to help. I told her if she was to busy to ask her manager to check with housekeeping and she asked for my number again, I advised her she wouldn't need my number because I'm standing right here and I'll just wait in the lobby. In the total time she took telling me she was busy, she could have easily called/radioed housekeeping and they could have brought me my item. I would have never complained about any of this if the service provided to retrieve an item left behind wasn't so terrible. ||||I will say there is a male front desk agent in the mornings most of the time I stay and he is the most pleasant person to speak with and is so very helpful. I wish I knew his name. I really loved staying at your hotel and was very excited to stay in one of the suites this time but this was such a disappointing...
Read moreNew hotel, decided to try it out. Generally enjoy my stays at the Residence Inn properties. This one, however, is a huge miss.
The good: Just opened in April 2021, so all the hardware is pretty new. Plugs and USB ports on both night stands and the desk. Shower pressure is very good.
Now the bad: Room was not cleaned well. Found hairstrands on the nightstand and on the bathroom floor. The heat did not work - even after turning the temperature up to 78F and the fan on high, the room failed to heat up after an hour. The room stayed at a chilly 69F. The main lamp in the living/work area did not work. Although the shower had good pressure, the bathroom sink did not - very little water came out. Now comes the most hilarious part - the lower cabinet where the pots and pans are cannot be opened because the installed dishwasher blocks it. I was hoping to get the pot out to boil some water for ramen, well, turns out, you can't get to them because the cabinet door cannot be opened - check out the photo. Which idiot installed the furniture? No room upgrade at all offered - I'm Platinum elite. The room was poorly insulated against outside traffic and noise - not really acceptable when you're building a new hotel near I-5 in 2021. It's in a complex with 3 other hotels, so parking can get full at night, and it can also be confusing when you first arrive which one is the right hotel. Only one staff working at the front desk - understand due to COVID there are worker shortages, but this made checking in and out very slow.
As you can tell, the bad outweighs the good by a lot. I would avoid this Residence Inn and probably the Springhill Suites in this same complex and go elsewhere - quite a few other options in the area. I've stayed at the Hilton and the Hyatt in Valencia/Santa Clarita, and they're...
Read moreI don’t usually write a lot of reviews, but I wanted to share my great experiences here at Residence Inn. I work as a travel nurse, and I’m always looking for a safe, clean and comfortable place to call my home away from home. I like to pack light, so I’m looking for a place that has all the amenities I need to make that possible. Residence Inn has all in this location! The suites offer a full kitchen with all the supplies I needed to cook meals, coffee maker stocked with coffee, and a dishwasher so I wasn’t spending my time off doing dishes. The suite was perfect sized for 1-2 people I would say, with lots of storage, and the bed is SO comfy! I need to find out how to buy the mattress topper and pillows they have for my own home, because they’re so soft and cozy.
I also appreciated that the large and spacious lobby offers plenty of comfortable seating, along with a bar serving drinks and food in the evening, and a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning. This was a huge selling point for me, as it was very convenient for me that I could go have a drink and food there at the end of the day, and eat their delicious hot breakfast in the morning before heading to a busy day at work.
Everything about how the hotel is run is perfectly. From the friendly customer service at the front desk checking me in, to times when I needed something and I was quickly helped, to the Super clean rooms, great breakfast and bar, I can’t say enough about how much I have enjoyed staying here. Special thanks to Luanna for so kindly helping me with my reservations, Donna for making the best breakfasts and being so friendly in the mornings, and Robert at the bar/restaurant for his delicious drinks and great service. This place is the best around, and I...
