We loved that Edgewater Beach Inn & Suites is located right across the street from the pier and a block away from the Boardwalk which is fantastic. The manager Lori was kind enough to let my family check in early which we greatly appreciated. However, she stated that parking would be an additional $30 since we booked the reservation through a third party which I feel is wrong. Always call and check prices w/ manger first. Parking in my opinion should be included when you are paying over $475 a night. The room is just spacious enough for resting after a long day at the boardwalk. Refrigerator was not cold but it got cold after 8 hours later (turn down the temperature) The restroom is dated. Jacuzzi tub I believe was stained so it appears dirty which was unfortunate because I was really looking forward to enjoying the tub but chose not to. We did not use the fireplace (too hot outside) no A/C in room but we had a fan which was nice… So overall the place is well looked after and the manager Lori really does her best to do what she can to keep the place up.. she answers the calls and address any/all concerns. We would consider staying again in the future but it is my opinion that the owners should begin to update the rooms for the price and include parking to make it worth it… & oh let’s not forget about the crows!! Lol. They will wake you up early (6am) and you will hear them walking all over the roof.. just a...

Edgewater Beach Inn and Suites is absolutely amazing. Let's be honest, most of the beach area hotels are run WAAAAAYYYY down and focused on over charging you (from the inflated rates to the vending machines) for an old, beat up shoe box. Not the Edgewater. The entire place is amazing. From one Vantage Point you're surrounded by fragrant BEAUTIFUL Gardens. Each corridor has flows with natural beauty and in the other direction you are looking at the ocean. steps from the beach.  I have stayed at some hotels that are 'remember' a few blocks away' with no pool or an out of order pool. Trust me, steps away plus an AWESOME full size pool and BBQ (actual grill you can use!!!) area?? The rooms are spacious while nicely updated and clean. The bed linend are crisp, fresh and soft. I mean seriously it is the best you should have seen the shower that we had!!! Amazing!!! The Edgewater Beach Inn & Suites is the best rate in the Santa Cruz area. The pool is nice and clean, without frying you with chemicals: with tables and paitos. Did I mention there's a Central Barbecue area?? Don't stay anywhere else but the Edgewater, Trust me. And if they're all booked up just make sure that you check it out anyway for the next time they're in town because it is the best...

If you’re only concern about location, this place is a close walk to the beach. That is probably the only perk.

There is no AC despite the clear picture of a unit in the pictures, it only heats, they tell you it gets cool enough at night to keep the windows open, which would be fine if the walls weren’t more thin than the pillows.

Not only could we hear the couple next to us clear as day having a private and heated argument, there was a room near by that kept trying to cast to our tv at night.

We were happy to know they at least had a continental breakfast which we were incredibly disappointed to find it was cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, packaged muffins, and cardboard packaged bagels.

On top of a not so great experience, we were woken up by the neighbors yet again due to thin walls at 4:30am. When I had to physically go to the lobby since there are no phones to ask for a late checkout, they only extended it by 30 minutes.

So, if you’re only looking for a good location, this works, yet I don’t think it’s worth the...

I loved the location but had a difficult time with some aspects of my stay. The manager Daniel was very friendly and attentive. Room was clean and had the basics of most motels. I had the “honeymoon suite” with an electric fireplace that acts as the rooms heater and a whirlpool tub. Neither worked. Room never got above 55 degrees during my cold, rain filled stay. I found it hilarious that there was no privacy in the honeymoon suite. The fireplace splits the bed and bathroom. Very few newlyweds wanna hear their partner at the toilet I imagine. 😂 The location can’t be beat. Walking distance to everything, really.

First time stay over, Second time in same locale. Nice older place. Excellent view at back gate to ocean & wharf. We stayed in Room 110. Neat little setup. U walk in to a king size bed, sink, dresser and nightstands w/ a fireplace unit on the wall. Back area is sitting table w/ small kitchen area. Sink, refrigerator, microwave and cabinets. Bathroom has large jacuzzi tub, shower head and toilet. Need to upgrade towels plz. Overall the wife and I great stay. Will DEF be back in near future. One major issue, competition is coming with La Quinta Inn being built across Second St. so support this lady if U can.

Elaine runs the place the place when we show up with very last minute reservations. She was amazing ! She really made us feel welcome and well accommodated ! BBQs, kitchens in the room, huge jacuzzi tubs, lovely warm salt water pool, centrally located to the downtown, beaches, muni pier and Wilder Ranch State Park ! We biked north along the cliffs to the park, south to Capitola & Aptos ! Best vacation !! We look forward to coming back. ❤️
