I had been eating at Las Palma's since 1987. Notice, I said, "had". I will not spend my money where again, which saddens me. I went with my boyfriend, who had never eaten there, to get a quick bite. We ordered the Tres Amigos plate, which is three tacos, any way, w and beans. So I ordered two with shredded beef and one with shredded chicken, all three fried crispy. We were going to split the plate, so in trying to figure out which was the chicken taco, to split it in half, I looked inside each and could hardly find any meat, except for maybe two pieces about 1/4” x 1/4” square in each taco, smothered in a tomato sauce with tomatoes and pepper pieces. The tacos were full of vegetables. I returned with them tobthe counter and asked for some meat in my tacos. I as told that that was how they were made, with the vegetables too. I told them that I understood that but could they add some meat too. (I had paid like $14 for this plate) They argued with me and I showed them the insides of the tortillas and asked them to show me the meat. They couldn't, of course, and angrily grabbed the plate and went to the kitchen. When they returned they tossed the plate back onto my tray, dismissed me with a hand wave, turned their back and walked away. We were sitting at the table that is adjacent to the front door and as soon as I exited the door and sat down, the young man came and blocked off the door with a chair and locked it. Read moreOmg. I went here 3 times while on vacation. They have amazing beans and sauce. You would be surprised how easy it is to screw up a bean rice and cheese burrito but a lot of places do. Not here! They have large and small burritos so you don't have to buy the kitchen sink if you just want something light.
They have a secret recipe for their beans that needs to be a national treasure and their sauce for the chili relleno is beyond perfect. The AL pastor was superb. Full of flavor not hidden in heat. Their staff is quick efficient and friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place and to top it off They are cheap, well not cheap but totally affordable and on the lower side of average price for taco shop.
Tip, they are closed on Sundays! Long...

The service was really good and they took my order promptly. I was highly disappointed by the tacos dorados. I grew up eating tacos dorados and was excited to eat some, but the tortilla was over fried and one taco was cracked in half.
You need to get the right balance between the taco stuffing and they missed the mark. They don’t even use Mexican cheese and they dumped heaps of shredded mozzarella and lettuce, which ruined the taco. The ground beef taco was barely noticeable, but the beans were good. The shredded beef taco was better, but the toppings ruined it. Overall the salsa was decent, but the toppings were limited - no tomato or onion.
Definitely avoid, but check it out if you don’t are into the American...
