Something sparked in me recently that I wanted to try roller skating again. I was searching all over for quad skates. After driving to many stores, my husband found Skateworks and I said it would be our last stop in our search. This shop turned our whole day around.

Bill was definitely the person I needed to speak to about skating. He has vast knowledge from previously sponsoring roller derby in the area and I got to see some old acquaintances come in getting upgrades to their derby gear. He was extremely patient, kind, and honest while working with me. By the end of the visit, I didn't want to leave because we were having such great conversations.

We came in from Fremont just for the day for my niece's birthday. Shopping around town my step- daughter decided she wanted to look for her first skateboard. We heard Skate Works was the place for us. My tribe and I walked in 7 minutes before closing and were greeted like royalty by the owner and 2 female associates. The woman behind the counter dug right in asking for preferences and the like. Being a somewhat novice skater she only knew the look she was after. But no worries, after pointing out a few selections their knowledge and experience took over and they pumped out one of the sickest boards I've ever seen! A great experience with my partner getting our first boards, couldn't recommend Skateworks enough!

The owner was incredibly helpful and fun to chat with. He let us learn about the differences without us feeling any pressure to buy or take on more than what we were ready for. Someone even ran in asking for help to fix their board and he let them borrow some tools right away with no charge.

With something like 35 years of service, you could tell he does it for the love of skating, and his passion was infectious making us that much more excited to get out there and try it!
