I stayed at this hotel on Sunday 11/19/23. The below three emails were sent to the owner. Granted, when I checked out the front desk clerk said to me; "I am sorry if you felt I didn't welcome you when you checked in but I was busy training a new person. I should have communicated that to you. Mr Sanei told me of your problem, so we aren't going to charge you for last night. That was nice, but it benefits my company and not me for my inconvenience. I feel points should be credited to my account. The worst part of all of this....I never heard from the manager directly. A response to my three emails would have been nice.
Good morning, M. Sanei -
I checked into your hotel last evening. I am not happy with my stay or the quality of your property.
When I checked in, the two ladies at the front desk clearly were not thrilled that I arrived at 1:30 pm, "oh you are early prior to check-in." Granted, they checked me in but it seemed to be an inconvenience for them to have to move my room on the paper that one of them was working on. Thank goodness your front desk clerk, Alex, was so personable and professional when I left and entered the hotel a couple of times. He is a great representative for a Hilton property.
Prior to making my reservation, I called the hotel and asked if there was a gym on site. I asked for an overview of what was included in the gym and was excited to hear of the amenities. Disappointed to arrive the very next day and was told it was out of service. Why wasn't this shared with me the day prior, when I indicated I would be checking in the next day. Frankly, one of the main reasons, other than location, that I picked this hotel.
I can not believe the quality of my room. Dirty refrigerator that is broken and doesn't have all the shelving in place. At least it kept items cold, but unfortunately to the point that my Coke Zero was frozen this morning. No pictures on the wall. Dull and not a pleasant feeling. The bed doesn't have proper coverings. You can see the box spring. Normally, they are covered with a skirt in hotels. The worst part being the many very little bugs or flies -- not sure what they are, that were constantly all over me and the desk as I attempted to work since early this morning. I finally had enough and placed one in a cup and took it to Lee at your front desk. I showed her the moving item and she pointed to a stack of cups from across the room and said "I could get a new cup." I had to explain the situation a second time for her to understand. All she said was, I will tell Jenny, my supervisor when she arrives at 7. Not even an apology or "I'm sorry," until I told her that I wasn't happy that she didn't even acknowledge or apologize for my experience.
I truly hope you all can get it together.
I just took down another cup with two moving bugs in them to Lee. I had to ask her three times if there was another room I could move to. She was unable to comprehend a simple request. She finally got it and said; "you are leaving today anyway." True, but I have some conference calls this morning and I wasn't planning to leave until around 10 am. She then spent over a minute looking at her computer. I just walked away.
The journey continues. I grab some toilet paper and the roll falls down. The hanger appears to be broken. The dispensers for the soap, shampoo, and shower gel are literally 2 feet from the bottom of the shower. How does a senior citizen bend down far enough to read the contents of the bottle? Hey though, the shower pressure and breakfast were both great. I would suggest looking at the table the juice dispenser is on. It wobbles so much. Doesn't seem strong enough.
I really don't mean to be a pain and complain so much, but this hasn't been a...
Read moreMy car broke down and I was able to pull into the Hampton Inn Sarasota I-75 BEE Ridge location. Alex was the front desk supervisor on shift. He was so accommodating and polite even thought I was not a guest. I asked to use the restroom and the phone to call for help because as luck would have it my phone was dead. My contact that I had called didn't answer so I went back to my car to get things ready to be moved. Alex came back out to let me know my brother had called back. I don't look homeless or like a drug addict, but it did look sketchy and probably would to anyone. He was so polite and accommodating. I'm pretty sure I over heated my engine which is our only family car, so I was crying and a mess as you can imaging. I have a 14 year old that participants in marching band and a 10 year daughter that participants in chorus so losing my vehicle is going to put an immense pressure and hardship on our family. My husband is a long haul truck driver so he can't do anything to help currently. Alex really was so professional as as helpful as he could be. I just think people don't do that anymore. They are so fast to judge or dismiss a person if they are not a guest of the establishment. Alex did everything in his power legally to help me and feel welcome. It was refreshing and these simple acts of kindness are not mandatory. You can tell he was raised right and will be a fantastic employee at the Hilton. Maybe one day he will branch out to build his own business which I have no doubt will be successful. It takes such a small amount of effort to treat other human being with respect andkindness. Thank you Alex, thank your family for raising such a wonderful and caring young man, and thank you to the management staff here at the Hilton. Please cultivate this behavior and reward it approprately. Alex you have a kind heart and it was such a pleasure to run in to you...
Read moreThis Hampton Inn definitely hurts the Hilton brand. I've stayed here before., once while it was being renovated and two previous stays after the renovation. First, this hotel is very conveniently located off I-95 in Sarasota, with two good options for dining within the area of the hotel. This hotel is a short 10 minute drive from the UTC Mall with loads of good dining and shopping options. This is where it ends...The cheap shabby renovation leaves one with the feeling of "glad I only booked one night. The staff is disinterested that you chose this Hampton and the morning desk person looked a wreck and really was left me wondering what Hampton Inn owner would hire such a person. This hotel did not provide half and Half at breakfast, There was only the unhealthy, crappy tasting, non dairy creamer, the kitchen person did not speak a word of English, so I asked the person at the desk about this item that every Hampton I've stayed has. She gave me the absurd and outlandish, not to mention intelligence challenging answer that the increased cost of half and half prohibited the hotel from serving this. Are you serious, the rates at this hotel are well over S200.00 per night for a minimal king room. Given the raised rates, the cost of half and half (which by the way is about the same price of the non dairy creamers) cannot really be the reason for not providing this product . So perhaps you'll remove butter from the menu next. This person cannot be qualified in this position. |Given the flimsy motel ambience, the poor inattentive staff and foolish excuses for shortcomings, stay somewhere else. There are many better options nearby. As a Hiltom Honors member, Hamptons like this shake my confidence in the...
