Conveniently located, Porches' location offers an easy walk to the main streets of Saugatuck with lots of shopping & dining opportunities nearby. All of the spaces were nicely furnished and of good size. The bedroom included a comfortable king bed and cabinetry & countertop for our clothes and "stuff". The bath included a large shower and vanity. Clearly not your typical hotel bathroom. Little details in the bathroom illustrate the attention the owners have put into the overall design of the spaces. The living space included a kitchenette and dining table, along with comfortable seating options. The owners provided us with a fruit & cheese tray, bottle of prosecco and muffins & croissants to welcome us to our stay. A nice Keurig machine and plenty of k-cups insured a generous supply of "go-juice" for our mornings. We greatly appreciated this setup since it enabled our easy morning startups in these comfortable surroundings. Our porch space overlooked the front of the house and offered a good space to connect with friends or to quietly start our day with a coffee & muffin. Porches on Mason is the best place we have stayed...
Read moreThe Porches on Mason provided a comfortable, attractive, meticulous setting for us to enjoy our stay in Saugatuck! The inn is located in a perfect area, allowing easy walks to restaurants, shops, the marina and through the quaint residential streets. Our suite was beautifully appointed and extremely clean with plenty of space to relax and get away from the grind. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable too!
We were greeted with a generous gift basket of morning treats as well as an enticing cheese/fruit board (including wine). What a perfect treat provided by our hosts! We felt welcome and refreshed. It was convenient that our hosts were staying in the inn and on hand if we needed anything. They were friendly and genuinely interested in our comfort.
Our overall experience was amazing, and we would definitely choose the Porches on Mason the next time we...
Read moreWeekday stay in mid June. The porches is a nice setup right on the edge of downtown..the location is perfect. There is a small parking lot, we didn't have an issue getting a spot. The room was clean, light and airy. It's a nice touch for the price per night to have a fridge, sink, coffee machine etc. There is a washer and dryer and ice machine upstairs. Detergent there for use.
The only problem we had with the suite was the comfort level/sleeping situation. The bedroom has a large window and pull down shade, and no curtains. It's very bright in that room at night. It made it very difficult to sleep. The couch, the pillows the blanket in the livingroom and the sheets were a very rough/scratchy material.
The rooms and the entryway way are very echoey.
Overall we would boom here again, just bring a blanket and an...
