I changed my review from a 5 to 1.i called and left a message 3 different days in the last 6 days. And have yet to hear back I went in on August 7th. There was an event going on, meeting the first responders. My husband was at work so it was my one year old twins and my 5 year old sons. We walked in and it wasnt that busy I did have my double stroller that I had planned on folding and leaving at the door. But no highchairs were available and the restuarant didn't have enough space to push a stroller around. While the waitress waited with her hands behind her back and smiling I started moving some tables and chairs since they sat us on the other side of the wall 2 of your customers stopped eating to help me and my twins get to our table. Once seated our drinks and order were taken. Food and drinks came out but set right in front of my twins reach even while still in their side by side double stroller. A waiter brought over one highchair and our waitress told him no I didn't need it and before I could speak up it was given away .I had to go to the car each refill because our waitress didn't check our table. I had to go to the bar for our check, box and bag twice. Once leaving a customer got up and left his table to have move tables again and a table of 4 had to move their entire table just so I could leave the restaurant. All this 2 of your waitresses watched YOUR customers help me leave. Your restaurant wasnt that busy, your staff wasnt that helpful and your management isnt that great since I have left my number 3 different times. But the people that EAT at your restaurant are extremely helpful so thank you to those of you that helped

If you consider yourself even remotely spoiled on great Mexican cuisine as I do (I grew up in Southwest Detroit), you should AVOID this place at all costs. It is perhaps the worst Mex food we have EVER had. One of us ordered the Shrimp Taco Salad, which ended up being a fried tortilla dish with a splattering of tepid beans, a wad of guac, some sour cream, a couple rubbery token shrimp, and NO LETTUCE, served on a piping HOT plate. The other of us ordered Enchiladas Supremos, which came out cold on a hot plate. The ground beef would easily pass for drive-thru; the chicken was nicely shredded but dry as sand; the "cheese" enchilada was nothing more than cauldron cheese poured onto a tortilla; the mole sauce was cold and crusted. I couldn't finish the final bean enchilada, which honestly felt like a final insult on my plate. My mate's pina colada came out after the meal, a corn-syrupy foodservice pre-mix in melted slush with only a splash of liquor. Even together we could not finish it.
Those hot plates gave their kitchen away - how can you serve cold, lifeless food on a hot plate unless the food was cooked and assembled separately and thrown on a preheated plate? I asked to have mine reheated, and of course it was returned complete with soggy tomatoes, soggy lettuce and...
Read moreI got takeout from here for the first time a year ago. The food was terrible, but I always give a place a second chance, everyone has a bad day. In this case that was a mistake.
I ordered my usual mexican takeout: a steak burrito. Last time the burrito was a mess, very loosely wrapped, so I specifically asked for it to be tightly wrapped but again it came loose, not even wrapped at all. It was just kind of smooshed together at the top and it looked like a punched lasagna. If the ingerdients inside of the burrito were good but I could get past the bad wrap job but that was not the case at all. About halfway through I realized, it had exactly the same taste and consistency as a Taco Bell burrito supreme. That's fine drunk at 4AM but not at dinner time from what claims to be an authentic Mexican restaurant.
I also asked for a couple corn tortilla steak quesadillas. I assumed they understood that I meant each one should have 2 tortillas with cheese and meat sandwiched between and then lightly fried in oil. I got 2 single tortillas curled up like a taco and seemingly microwaved.
If you have never had real Mexican food you'd probably be fine with this, but if this place opened anywhere in Chicago they'd be out of business work a week. Besides the things I mentioned everything was low seasoned and blame. Ffs, the bag of tortilla chips they gave me wasn't even salted. I...
