Nice place with friendly hostess and server. 🍸 We enjoyed the scotch, neat, and an espresso martini to drink. Both tasty. 🥩 🍔 We ordered the ribeye and smash burger. Both came with arugula salad per our order and that was a simple salad with fennel and light dressing. I loved the burger! The only complaint with the 14oz ribeye was that there was a tad more fat than I’d like on a steak…but both entrees were cooked to perfection. We had recognized that we had been there before two years ago under a different name and owner - Lucy’s, which was more casual than it is now. We were expecting live music dining outside but because of the coming rain, they canceled the band ahead of time as they were traveling a ways. It didn’t rain while we were eating outside but I’m not really sure what we would have done if it started raining. I don’t think there were any umbrellas. There was definitely a large open seating area indoors, though. Lots of interesting decor and art throughout, including the bathrooms. Unique but not overbearing. The hostess was kind enough to take the time to explain the backstory behind the name. It’s a cute explanation and I’ll leave it at that. Our server looked like Adam Driver, which I was surprised no one had ever told him that. Good and friendly service. No water views but nice landscaping outdoors and fresh air. The location is central to the nightlife happenings. 💯

We visited here twice in one weekend if that says anything about the food! My first visit was with one other person for lunch. For the two of us, we waited over an hour for our food which was a salad and a chicken salad sandwich. During our wait, our server barely checked on us or refilled drinks while we sat outside in the sun. The restaurant was empty inside and there were only a few tables outside. It was a Friday during the summer in a beach town so I definitely expected a wait but this didn't seem to make sense given how little other patrons were there. But once the food came, it make up for it. Everything was so delicious. A few days later we came back to Lady Bird with a group of 11 people total for Sunday brunch. Service was much better and our food for all 11 people came out in half the time it took for lunch on Friday. The food was even better. I don't know what they're doing to their bacon but I'm still thinking about it. Our server was super friendly and attentive to the group. I like this place because there is a large outdoor eating area in the back plus a pretty spacious indoor restaurant. The menu has a good variety while still feeling intentional. Even our picky eaters in the group enjoyed it.

My wife and I ate dinner here on a Friday in early spring. They said they don't take reservations so we just showed up around 7:00 and we didn't have to wait. We started off with the fillet mignon flatbread (delicious!) carrots (very flavorful), and bone marrow mashed potatoes (it was good with the bone marrow but when that was gone, just the mashed potatoes were ok - maybe it was caused by the bold flavors of the previous dishes). For main dishes, we had the carbonara, fillet mignon, and the Gulf Maine scallops. The carbonara was good (but we like unique & bold flavors; maybe it’s really good for someone with more relaxed taste buds). The fillet mignon was amazing and had the right amount of juiciness and minimal seasoning so they kept the steak taste while adding a little savory originality. But the star of the show were the scallops! We savored every bite and could barely speak while eating them (but that didn’t mean we were silent). Making (tastefully) moaning noises, we eyed up the last scallop and with accusatory looks from each other, we contemplated getting a divorce so we could spend the rest of our lives eating these scallops.

We had dinner at this Saugatuck restaurant on a beautiful night, anticipating a great meal. As we sat, we noticed whispers, patrons leaving, and wait and kitchen staff coming out delivering food and drinks to the wrong tables, turning around and heading back to the kitchen. We placed our drink orders. Our drinks came out about 10 minutes later, which was great. We had placed our appetizer orders at the same time as our drink orders and to our surprise our food was delivered not once, but twice, to different tables. An hour went by and no appetizers, our water ran out, as well as our drinks. We brought this to the attention of several different personnel and to our astonishment no one seemed to know where our appetizers were nor did they try to provide us anything to make up for the terrible service my family and I received. We literally sat there with no food, no water, no other beverages (although we had ordered all) for over an hour. We were told that our waitress was new and needed to be more assertive with the kitchen. We finally received our meals and the food was very good but the entire experience was so awful. This is a top down issue. Our server was very apologetic and indicated she was new and not experienced enough. It’s management’s responsibility to ensure the servers are ready. We hold them accountable, not the server. Do better. Train your staff. And when issues such as the magnitude of ours and multiple other tables around us arise, act as if you care about your patrons and your staff and be present to assist and offer a lending hand! Everyone in the restaurant knew of all of the service issues happening. No excuse management! It starts with you! Clearly, we will not return. Food great,...

My family and I were excited to dine at Lady Bird. We were greeted by the sweetest hostess. She was lovely and very accommodating. Once seated, we browsed the menu and had decided on cocktails. The server came and stood at our table and greeted us in a not so friendly manner but I overlooked it. He took our drink order. Came back with only 3 out of 4 cocktails, looked at my niece and said, “What did you order”? She told him,”sangria” he said, “oh ya I’ll be right back with that”. He brought the drink back took our order which we told him three times we wanted French fries and he never brought them. Being in the restaurant industry is something we as a family are very familiar with. Therefore Carlos’ behavior is not acceptable for dealing with the public. He asked if we wanted another cocktail and my daughter order something special. Instead of the server brining it to the table the bartender came out with it and she said I didn’t order a manhattan and she told him what she did order and he said no problem I’ll be right back with your drink. The server saw him leaving the table cocktail in hand and asked what was wrong with the drink and the bartender said it was the wrong one and the server said OH WELL! Our oysters were brought out and we we not even finished with them and the server took them away. $42.00 is a bit steep for Carlos to remove the plate. We keep giving him the benefit of the doubt and tried to make light of his rude behavior but he wouldn’t stop. He was relentless. The hostess came to check up on us and bring us our check. He didn’t even bring us our check. Perhaps he needs classes on how to work in the restaurant...

I am not very picky when it comes to food and I hate to be this person but our highly anticipated visit to Lady Bird yesterday was a huge disappointment. We understand it is a new venue possibly still going through the tweaking stage. So, let this review be our feedback to the owners/staff rather than a complaint. We first sat at the bar and it was great. Nick, the bartender was fantastic and the drinks were tasty. This attentiveness was not present from the server who was helping us in the main dinning room. Her presence was scarce, our water glasses sat empty, and she seemed completely disengaged. There were plenty of staff on board and there are not that many tables so it should not be that hard to provide a friendly, attentive service to the tables that are assigned to you. But one needs to pay attention when walking around back and forth, most of the time empty handed. Maybe additional training would help? We started with a tomatoe/pepper soup and brussels sprouts salad and both were very good. The entrees seem to be well planned and developed to have a good mix of flavors. Unfortunately, the execution failed last night. The bucatini sauce was so floury that you could taste the flour. Until last night I was not aware that halibut can be so overcooked. It was a shoe leather experience. Fries that came with the burger were soggy and lukewarm and the burger was just OK. We all left underwhelmed and dissatisfied. Again, we understand new restaurants go through trial and error phase so we will give it another try...
