Stayed here for 14 days, on the "south side", in my 33ft travel trailer. Spots were gravel, I never did get a good level... Every night one side or another would sink in despite stabilizer jacks being on boards! Several camping clubs send members here, so I imagine it gets super crowded! My stay included Mothers Day weekend, park was about 75% full. Staff is generally friendly.
Around a mile walk into Seaside and the beach. Parking can be nearly impossible! Safeway and rite aid about 2 miles.
Nice quiet place. Lots of trees, birds (crows, robins, sparrows, even the occasional seagull). Indoor pool and hot tub, plain little mini golf putting course, great playground equipment, fenced in dog area in south side. The dog area on the north side is actually an " island " in the small pond. Only fencing is at gate, area is otherwise surrounded by a shallow moat & blackberry brambles! If your dog is all behaved, it works well!! Pretty spot to just sit on provided picnic table and watch the pond, with or without a dog. Lots of unexpected & invisible dips and holes and bumps....be careful walking!!
Laundry machines are great. And accept cards!!! $2 wash, $2 for an hour of drying. Clubhouse areas clean inside. WiFi very spotty in camper, even tho I was less than 100ft from main cell broadcaster. AT&T cell service was fair. Good camping experience overall. Will stay again, often!
The negatives: I'm just not sure why staff is called park rangers! It is modeled after state parks I suppose, but that entails education and duties far different from this park's staff! At least one staff member may think they are powerful and all knowing.... Gives a bad impression of the park. None of the 'rangers' wore a name badge. That would've made it seem more professional.
Def need improvement on WiFi bandwidth. I was surpassed that I was unable to receive any OTA TV channels. In Seaside proper 4 or 5 channels are available, bounced over from Portland.
5mph speed limit and one way roads are great! But signage is mostly either faded or difficult to understand to which road a one way sign refers. Possibly using signs more like folks are used to seeing on public roads, mounted on poles at intersections, rather than hand lettered & only a foot of two above the ground would help!
I love dogs (and cats and birds and ... Well all animals!). Have my Zuma super service dog with me always. However, there was an incident at each of the off leash areas that make me concerned! Of course neither of these incidents are the fault of the RV park staff (or of the dogs involved!). Dogs and camping just GO together. But maybe some sort of policy or posted sign about remaining in control of your dog. A special handout for folks with dogs?
Restroom and shower area were clean. ish Old and grungy, and with a strong mildew odor. Only new area seemed to be children's play equipment on south side. All other facilities have crossed the fine line from quaint and charmingly distressed and are now in need of painting/repair/replacement.
Special thanks to Sue, she...

Campsite: The campsites are first come, first serve. We were told to drive around and find one we liked. Try not to park on the grass. Text the ranger with our site number. We drove through the South park for a bit before realize we had to cross the road to get to the North park. The North park was definitely Campsite Level: needed leveling blocks on one side Campsite Type: gravel with some grass around the site Full / Partial hookup: 50 & 30 in North side, 30 only on South side where the few pull through spots are located Sewer: rules require a sidewinder Picnic table at our site: yes Grill: no Fire ring: yes Wifi: yes in the common areas. Available through 3rd party in the park, but we didn’t use it. Verizon puck worked well to stream video. Propane fill: yes Amenities: Bathrooms: yes, multiple Showers: yes, multiple Dumpster easily located: yes but only in one location towards the front of the park. Laundry: uncertain, it was in the South camp and we didn’t get to see it. Pool: yes with lift chair. Nice sized pool with separate baby pool, plus they had a newly redecorated showers, dry sauna and hot tub with a sign that specified it was not for children under the age of 7 and to be used for therapeutic purposes. Thank you, Thousand Trails! Playground: yes, multiple large playgrounds with nice new looking equipment. Other facilities: horseshoe pits, basketball court, tennis court, pickle ball courts, clubhouse including: a game area, kids play area, and tv watching area. They had complementary coffee available as well. Pool area had table tennis and foosball table. It also had a soda machine and tables to play cards or sit and chat. They also have a public phone, community firepit, nature trails and planned activities. Dog friendly: Location and size of area: They did have an off-leash area, but only on the South side of the park. Pick up bags and trash can stations: yes, multiple grassy areas throughout the park with stations for pickup bags and trashcans. They were out of pick up bags at one location, but other stations were fully stocked. Camp store: No camp store, but they did have complementary coffee, firewood available for purchase, and a vending machine by the pool. Camp staff interactions: The camp staff were very friendly and helpful. I talked to one of the managers that was closing up for the pool regarding an issue I had with someone bringing a toddler into hot tub. He told me to text the check in number at any time and a ranger would come right down to address it. Additional info: No outside noise to speak of, no trains or road noise. It was very peaceful and quiet. The sites were a bit close together, but we still had enough space for our slide outs and to walk around and in between sites. We would definitely recommend and would enjoy visiting...
