Excellent RV Resort with Great Location and Amenities Review: I have had the pleasure of staying at the Thousand Trails RV Resort in Seaside, Oregon multiple times, and my recent three-week stay has once again reaffirmed why I keep coming back. This review is based on my most recent experience. First and foremost, the location of this resort is fantastic. It deserves a solid 5 out of 5 rating. Situated close to various attractions and boasting excellent natural beauty, the resort offers easy access to everything Seaside, Oregon has to offer. Additionally, the cell phone reception is reliable, which is a big plus. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the multitude of activities available for children on the north side of the resort. It's a haven for families, and the fenced-in dog park with a lake is a delightful feature for our furry friends. The condition and cleanliness of the resort's facilities left nothing to be desired. The bathrooms were spotless, and the grounds were meticulously maintained. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in ensuring a clean and comfortable environment. Speaking of the staff, they were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. However, I should note that this location pays close attention to vehicle and driving paperwork, so be prepared for a thorough check. One standout feature of the resort is the indoor swimming pool, which provides a perfect way to relax and unwind. Additionally, the dog park on the north side is a great spot if you don't mind your pup taking a swim. The laundry room is now open until 9:00 pm, a welcome change from the previous winter hours that closed at 6:00 pm. What's even better is that you can conveniently pay with your card or via an app, eliminating the need to hunt for quarters. In terms of value for the price paid, this resort deserves a solid 5 out of 5. The amenities, cleanliness, and location all contribute to an exceptional experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Thousand Trails RV Resort in Seaside, Oregon. The location, amenities, and overall value make it an excellent choice for a stay in the area. Whether you're looking for family-friendly activities, a great dog park, or simply a well-maintained and clean RV resort, this place has it all. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, and I hope it helps you in making an informed decision about your stay at the Thousand Trails RV Resort in Seaside, Oregon. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

A pretty nice place with good amenities... most all the spaces are grass some have gravel... no fire pits so bring your own if you want a fire.. It's a about a mile or so to the town of Seaside so make sure you bring some bicycles otherwise you will have to drive your RV into town or walk quite a ways Laundry can get fairly expensive since machines don't hold very much and there's people that kind of live there for part of the season so they have lots of laundry... took about two and a half hours just to get two loads done... between waiting and how slow machines actually wash Nice clean restrooms and showers The pool is indoors at the second part of the park which is about a 1/2 mile from the right hand RV area I guess in Oregon they're pretty crazy about their helmet law regarding bicycle so make sure if you have kids under the age of 16 that they have their helmets otherwise you can get fairly big fine I guess.. We had to drive about 20 minutes north to the local Walmart to get $25 helmets There is also a Costco about 20 minutes north as well The beach at Seaside does have parking if you go directly straight from the RV park to the beach but it's a fairly long walk in lots of sand to get to the water itself. I highly recommend checking out Grizzly tuna which is along the Main Street while visiting Seaside... something different than Cod or halibut deep fried fish they serve only tuna.

1000 Trails corporate decided to change all the things that they do it makes it very hard for somebody with an ADA placard to be able to get into a handicap spot a lot of the parks don't mark on their Maps where are there handicap sites are so when you go for reservation it is next to impossible to get into one that you need this is something that I think that corporate needs to take a look at and needs to fix now and not later if you go through their online booking Center a lot of the people there do not know if the camp even has ADA accessible places I actually hope that a lot of people that use Thousand Trails will complain about this so that corporate will be able to figure out how to fix the problem I would really hate to have Thousand Trails get in trouble with States laws and regulations because right now they are not following them I'm in an ADA spot right now the people right next to me that is also in an ADA spot is not even handicapped so they are taking a spot that could be given to somebody who needs the accessibilities I got my spot for half of my trip and the other half I have to move to the other side of the park so I can have a spot for the rest of my 14 days but it's not an ADA site

Stayed here for 14 days, on the "south side", in my 33ft travel trailer. Spots were gravel, I never did get a good level... Every night one side or another would sink in despite stabilizer jacks being on boards! Several camping clubs send members here, so I imagine it gets super crowded! My stay included Mothers Day weekend, park was about 75% full. Staff is generally friendly.

Around a mile walk into Seaside and the beach. Parking can be nearly impossible! Safeway and rite aid about 2 miles.

Nice quiet place. Lots of trees, birds (crows, robins, sparrows, even the occasional seagull). Indoor pool and hot tub, plain little mini golf putting course, great playground equipment, fenced in dog area in south side. The dog area on the north side is actually an " island " in the small pond. Only fencing is at gate, area is otherwise surrounded by a shallow moat & blackberry brambles! If your dog is all behaved, it works well!! Pretty spot to just sit on provided picnic table and watch the pond, with or without a dog. Lots of unexpected & invisible dips and holes and bumps....be careful walking!!

Laundry machines are great. And accept cards!!! $2 wash, $2 for an hour of drying. Clubhouse areas clean inside. WiFi very spotty in camper, even tho I was less than 100ft from main cell broadcaster. AT&T cell service was fair. Good camping experience overall. Will stay again, often!

The negatives: I'm just not sure why staff is called park rangers! It is modeled after state parks I suppose, but that entails education and duties far different from this park's staff! At least one staff member may think they are powerful and all knowing.... Gives a bad impression of the park. None of the 'rangers' wore a name badge. That would've made it seem more professional.

Def need improvement on WiFi bandwidth. I was surpassed that I was unable to receive any OTA TV channels. In Seaside proper 4 or 5 channels are available, bounced over from Portland.

5mph speed limit and one way roads are great! But signage is mostly either faded or difficult to understand to which road a one way sign refers. Possibly using signs more like folks are used to seeing on public roads, mounted on poles at intersections, rather than hand lettered & only a foot of two above the ground would help!

I love dogs (and cats and birds and ... Well all animals!). Have my Zuma super service dog with me always. However, there was an incident at each of the off leash areas that make me concerned! Of course neither of these incidents are the fault of the RV park staff (or of the dogs involved!). Dogs and camping just GO together. But maybe some sort of policy or posted sign about remaining in control of your dog. A special handout for folks with dogs?

Restroom and shower area were clean. ish Old and grungy, and with a strong mildew odor. Only new area seemed to be children's play equipment on south side. All other facilities have crossed the fine line from quaint and charmingly distressed and are now in need of painting/repair/replacement.

Special thanks to Sue, she...

General Impression: Large campground spanning 2 sides of the roadway with scenic pond and trails for walking. Cost $ free to TT members, ~ $140 for non-members

Campsite: The campsites are first come, first serve. We were told to drive around and find one we liked. Try not to park on the grass. Text the ranger with our site number. We drove through the South park for a bit before realize we had to cross the road to get to the North park. The North park was definitely Campsite Level: needed leveling blocks on one side Campsite Type: gravel with some grass around the site Full / Partial hookup: 50 & 30 in North side, 30 only on South side where the few pull through spots are located Sewer: rules require a sidewinder Picnic table at our site: yes Grill: no Fire ring: yes Wifi: yes in the common areas. Available through 3rd party in the park, but we didn’t use it. Verizon puck worked well to stream video. Propane fill: yes Amenities: Bathrooms: yes, multiple Showers: yes, multiple Dumpster easily located: yes but only in one location towards the front of the park. Laundry: uncertain, it was in the South camp and we didn’t get to see it. Pool: yes with lift chair. Nice sized pool with separate baby pool, plus they had a newly redecorated showers, dry sauna and hot tub with a sign that specified it was not for children under the age of 7 and to be used for therapeutic purposes. Thank you, Thousand Trails! Playground: yes, multiple large playgrounds with nice new looking equipment. Other facilities: horseshoe pits, basketball court, tennis court, pickle ball courts, clubhouse including: a game area, kids play area, and tv watching area. They had complementary coffee available as well. Pool area had table tennis and foosball table. It also had a soda machine and tables to play cards or sit and chat. They also have a public phone, community firepit, nature trails and planned activities. Dog friendly: Location and size of area: They did have an off-leash area, but only on the South side of the park. Pick up bags and trash can stations: yes, multiple grassy areas throughout the park with stations for pickup bags and trashcans. They were out of pick up bags at one location, but other stations were fully stocked. Camp store: No camp store, but they did have complementary coffee, firewood available for purchase, and a vending machine by the pool. Camp staff interactions: The camp staff were very friendly and helpful. I talked to one of the managers that was closing up for the pool regarding an issue I had with someone bringing a toddler into hot tub. He told me to text the check in number at any time and a ranger would come right down to address it. Additional info: No outside noise to speak of, no trains or road noise. It was very peaceful and quiet. The sites were a bit close together, but we still had enough space for our slide outs and to walk around and in between sites. We would definitely recommend and would enjoy visiting...
