Tokyo Teriyaki — Restaurant in Seaside

Went inside to order take out on 6/2 at 7pm. Ordered for my family of 5. I was very excited to try this place. Came back in to get my order and saw another lady taking a big order. 20 min later she comes back and says that it's not what she ordered. The lady and I look nothing alike. She took home my order. The person working took it to the back and repacked it and tried to give it to me without saying anything. That was very upsetting and unsanitary. I asked for it to be remade or have my money refunded. It was 740pm at this time. I was hoping they would just remake it because I already waited so long. Said they couldn't remake it even though they closed in 20 min. Didn't try to make the situation right. I was there for 45 min at that point. Horrible customer service and very unsanitary considering they tried to give me food that someone already took home. I have come here for years on my way through Seaside, because it has been very good. This will be the last time.

I ordered the larger lunch combo and was disappointed with all of it. The portion was small - I hesitate to think of how small the smaller lunch would have been. The chicken had no charbroiled taste or appearance at all. The rice was ok (how do you ruin rice in the rice cooker). There was a small sad pile of overcooked vegetables - a few pieces of soggy cabbage, three carrot slivers, and one quarter of a limp broccoli floret. The sauce tasted a little off, and maybe that's why I'm spending too much of my time in the bathroom.

I was very disappointed at the time, but got my lunch to go, and did indeed leave. Even carrying it out was disappointing - the bag was very light. I'd have been farther ahead depositing it in the nearest trash...

Decided on Beef bento box, substantial amount of food, more than most bento boxes Pros, sushi roll was good, the beef was sweet & saucy, the rice was good, and the salad was nice with a rice vinegar dressing was refreshing. Cons, the tempura batter was a bit thick, slightly soggy by the time we got back to hotel, but to be expected..also on vacay, so picking a good restaurant is hard to do. I got the Hawaiian Roll. I liked the slices of tuna on top, with a crab & cream cheese mixture & cucumber inside. The tuna was fresh, I should have asked for spicy mayo & eel sauce on the side, if they had it. Food was fresh. They have Ramune like drinks. Nicely packed for our trip back to hotel room.
