You’ll love this place!!!!
Touring / Move-In / Staff I’m just a few weeks in and already want to share how great my experience has been from day one. From the initial tour to move-in day, the leasing office and our community director, Christian, have been incredibly welcoming and helpful. Having a reliable, on-site community team was very important to me, especially after a poor experience at my last place—and this team has exceeded expectations. The entire process was seamless and stress-free thanks to clear communication, prompt responses, and genuine support. From leasing to maintenance, the staff has been excellent across the board.
Property / Community / Location The units here are beautiful and thoughtfully upgraded, with spacious, functional layouts and large windows that bring in lots of light. My apartment overlooks West Seattle Stadium and a nearby golf course, with Mount Rainier visible on clear days—something I didn’t even realize until the sun came out! The complex feels tucked away with a peaceful, residential vibe while still being close to everything. I love the rooftop, gym, and other community spaces—all super clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Package delivery is secure and reliable, thanks to the Luxor pickup system. Even packages left outside the lockers have never been touched. My neighbors are friendly, and the community feels warm and welcoming. The location is also a major plus—just a few blocks from The Junction, with quick access to the highway and great shopping and dining nearby.
Parking Parking is affordable compared to other places I looked at—and I did a lot of research. The enclosed parking garages feel very safe, which I truly appreciate living in Seattle. Street parking is limited for guests, but they offer guest parking reservations in the garage, which is a lifesaver.
Safety Safety was a huge priority for me after previously living downtown, where I often felt uneasy. This building checks all the boxes. Every entrance, elevator, stairwell, and garage requires key fob access, which gives me real peace of mind. Despite being on a main road, the area feels much quieter and more secure than my old neighborhood. Residents also seem to genuinely look out for one another, which adds to the sense of safety.
Overall So far, so good—I’m truly loving life here and would 10/10 recommend this community to anyone looking for a peaceful, secure, and well-managed place...
Read moreIn Sept 2016, my partner and I applied for a MFTE apartment at Marq West Seattle. Kris, the property manager, told us the process would be a bit long just because of all the paperwork, but his professionalism and efficiency made the process seem almost effortless. We moved in and enjoyed a year living in a great neighborhood and an amazing building surrounded by good neighbors and friendly management.
Near the end of our lease, our income had increased and though we could have continued living in the subsidized apartment, we wanted to make room for others who would benefit more. We talked to management about this and they were receptive of our desire to transfer to a different unit. Once we made a decision on which apartment we wanted to transfer to, the process again was very professional and efficient.
Aside from being professional, the staff is also personable, friendly and have great senses of humor. These things make living here more comfortable rather than somewhere that may feel more rigid and impersonal. At the same time, the staff isn't overbearing with their friendliness which can sometimes happen at places and make one feel uncomfortable. The balance that management has with regard to being professional and personable is really great.
Facilities such as the lounge, rooftop and gym are always in great condition. Service requests are addressed within 24hours. Greg is great at his job and also fun to joke with. Receiving packages, reserving amenities and building inquiries are also straightforward. Mary is always great to talk to. She's also quick to notice things and doesn't hesitate to give you compliments!
Rent and lease management is done online through ActiveBuidling. This gives us the incredible convenience to take care of things on our own time, but again, if we need to discuss anything in person, management has always been ready to help out.
As someone who works from home and also has a lot of social anxiety, I have to say that the walls here are pretty great. The walls seem to be of high quality because we typically never hear our neighbors except for when they open their doors to leave/enter their apartments.
In summation, this is a great place to live. Also, our cat thoroughly enjoys the...

I recently spent a week at the Marq Apartments and during my stay, I experienced several frustrating encounters related to parking that made me feel harassed.
The first incident occurred when I parked in the future resident parking to unload groceries. Since there was no street parking available in front of the building and the nearest safe parking spot was two blocks away, I figured it was a reasonable choice for the brief time it would take to unload. As I was bent over picking up spilled groceries, the maintenance man approached and asked how long I planned to stay in that spot, mentioning they had a vendor arriving soon. This interaction felt unnecessarily intrusive and poorly timed, given the situation.
Learning from that experience, I decided to shop earlier in the morning to avoid any more issues. A few days later, around 6 a.m., I parked briefly to unload groceries. When I returned to my car just 20 minutes later, I found a giant, neon sticker plastered on my driver’s side window, threatening to tow my vehicle. This was a bold and over-the-top response for a Monday morning at 6 a.m., especially since I wasn’t obstructing anything at that hour.
The notice, as seen in the attached photo, felt less like a warning and more like an attempt to publicly shame me. I understand the value of that parking spot, but there’s no need for such a harsh reaction, particularly when the lot was virtually empty.
To add to my frustrations, the overall experience at the Marq left much to be desired. Despite its claims of being a “luxury” community, the amenities were disappointing. For example, it took about seven minutes for the water to finally get hot—something I actually timed.
As a final note, while I didn’t live there long-term, I managed to capture a photo of the leasing office manager sleeping at her desk, which only further highlights the lack of professionalism at this property.
In short, if you’re considering Marq Apartments,...
