We usually look at reviews of motels when we travel. But a week ago we decided to stop at Smith Center ks. After doing some sight seeing we stayed at the Buckshot inn and lodge. We were bushed. had been driving all day and ready to get some much needed sleep. We checked in and the Lady that greeted us was so incredibly kind. She made sure the air was on and invited us to join the rest of the customers for the grill out and the music. Everyone that stayed at the motel was invited, and the food was amazing. Our 3 kiddos love playing the yard games and the music was a live country band. This is what life use to be like, our kiddos didn't want to leave. The next day I was posting a review ( which we never do) my husband seen a lady that posted a review, it looks like she travels and post reviews on her places she dines and stay at. My husband had to laugh because she has no followers, she mentioned bugs( its an in and out motel) in a rural area. But we did have a couple flys in our room and 2 tiny frog's ( but we found out our kiddos snuck them in lol) and yes there was a bug or 2. And something about the curtains and the lights shinning in from outside. Well if it wasn't well lite that probably would of scared her. But we are heading back home and we all decided to make a reservation to stay at the Buckshot inn. We at times check out the reviews on places we stay or places we eat. But now I realize that when checking reviews on a place and seeing a post that's a bad review when there is multiple Great reviews. We should question that bad review. But we had a 2 week vacation. And traveled to many different places to site see. The whole trip was great but the time spent at the Buckshot inn was incredibly awesome. Made friends ate Great food and listened to good music. Tons of laughs and Great memories. Thank you Patti...
Read moreStayed here last yr for my Mothers Bday, there was 3 rooms of us. We loved it. Rooms very clean and a snack basket in each room. Patty and her Hubby had grill out for all the.customers. infact she asked to have mom come up and celebrate with her. Patty even made a cake. We live in Boise Idaho and we came back to SC ks to get mom's paperwork done. Couldnt find anyone to get a room. Until a young fellow came up and we asked to talk with Patty. He said she no longer worked there. I believe his name was David. It just felt very strange. And he said he could only take cash. So we went to Philipsburg to stay. But we got online to see what was going on at the Buckshot. And it said that the owner was Reinard Pollman. This person owns a motel in Boise idaho . It's the airport inn. This place was on the news in Boise. The city evicted Mr Pollman inFeb. The drug activity and shootings etc. had jumped 400 %. The motel is on the City airport property. So he was evicted. It is a standing joke that if you hear emergency sirens it's going to the airport motel. He also has been taken to court for not paying his employees for a couple yrs. If there is doubt about this check out channel 6. In Boise And there is a tv shiw called Hot Bench. Its the new season i believe its episode 135.called no tell motel. It has this Pollman guy on it. And wow this guy is something else. I would not give this man a penny. He has had a warrant out for him because of his shady stuff. Dont take our word for it. Check out...
Read moreWe traveled to the Smith Center ks for a family emergency. When we arrived Patty was getting us into our rooms. The air conditioning was on and a gift basket was waiting for us. Later Patty knocked on our door to see if it would be OK if she moved our families to the Lodge Bunkhouse. That way our kiddos could play and not be running out in the parking lot. We all wanted to go look at it , and it was amazing. Just a couple minutes out of town. Plenty of beds huge tv pool table dart board deck games. And Patty brought a small pool and put sand in it with toys, she put it inside a bigger pool with water. She baked some rolls and brought out some sandwiches. Even though it was a tough time to lose our parent. This definitely brought us closer together. We owe Patty for helping us through this plus bringing us closer which would never of happened. And the little ones slept in the covered wagon inside. They want to go back . This lady is an Angel . Thank you So much Patty at the buckshot inn and lodge, you will always be in our...
