Staples — Local services in Southington

If I could give them a zero I would. For 10 years I’ve been using Staples as my UPS mailing system at least 2 times a month and Friday Mar. 16 , 2024 I went to mail a UPS package as usual at the Staples in Southington, Ct. The young man at the shipping counter said he didn’t recognize the standard UPS ground shipping label from UPS main warehouse that I’ve used since the beginning and couldn’t process my package. He called for assistance. Another young man came and scanned in my package and said he couldn’t process my package . I told him it comes up unknown and I just get a receipt . He said again it can’t be processed ! I said I’ve been here doing this transaction for a long time and I’ve was always given the courtesy and service to mail out my package. Since this young man couldn’t help me . I asked for a manger . He said he was the manager . Very angry about the service I was given I said again, I’ve mailed this here at your store for 10 years without a problem . It can be done but he didn’t even bother to try and get assistance from another source on how to process my package. He just kept saying over and over I can’t process your package . This manager “ Nick” clearly was not properly trained nor had any personality to handle my request ! I went in to get some blue prints ordered and afterwards I decided to look at the laptops. I have been looking for a gaming laptop for a while, but had no idea what to look for. I went over to the tech help section and had the pleasure of working with Lucas V. He explained what things I should be looking for in a laptop when looking specifically for a gaming laptop. He was knowledgeable, confident, patient with my questions and extremely helpful. I had no intention of purchasing a laptop, but with his help I decided to get one! He explained how staples could set up the laptop in advance for me and have it ready to go out of the box. I went back the next day and Zack helped me complete my transaction! He found the laptop I wanted in Glastonbury and got it to my location and set up within 2 days! By the time I got it home, it had everything I wanted installed on it and was ready to go! If you want the perfect photo for your passport, this is the place. ​The quality of the pictures is amazing, and the camera is obviously professional. They even use a light background, which makes the pictures look even better. ​I first went to Walgreens, and the quality was super bad. I had to go twice because they claimed the sunlight was hitting the area too much, which is why the pictures turned out too dark. I went back when there was no direct sunlight, but the pictures looked the same—dark, bad quality. The camera they use must be from the 1800s! 😅 ​The people at Walgreens were very nice, but frankly, they should update their camera quality if they are promoting passport pictures. ​I wish I had known about the amazing job at Staples sooner; it would have saved me so much time. And the price is also perfect: $17.99 for two pictures, which is the same price as the cheap quality...
