I’ve been coming here on a regular basis for years. When I saw the sticker in the store inviting reviews, I was surprised that I had never thought to review one of my favorite places for a quick, healthy snack, pick-me-up, or meal replacement, so here goes. I’m old enough to have been around the first time that Smoothie King was in Springfield. I loved them then and was so sad when they closed. Needless to say, I was thrilled when they came back to town and, when I was still working, came by often—2-3 times a week at least—enough that many on the staff got to know me, anticipated my order and new the variations I made to my smoothies. Some still do, but I’m not in as often since I retired. All of that means a lot—in addition to the quality, taste, and variety of smoothies. I always enjoy the friendly smiles and quick chats and really hope they are here many years...
Read moreI love Smoothie King for the way their menu is laid out. If you're looking for an immune booster or something after a workout, they have them conveniently categorized, making it easy to order exactly what you're looking for. They also have add ins and don't just automatically dump two lbs of sugar in your smoothie like Tropical Smoothie does. You can choose sugar or stevia, energy boosters, milk or whatever you fancy. Otherwise, you're getting exactly what's listed on the menu, and I really like that. While I've asked for things like bananas to be left out of a smoothie, and never had a problem with an order being right, the employees are not friendly at all. That's my only beef with this place. The prices are decent and the smoothies are delicious. Smoothie King is the best place to get a smoothie in...
Read moreI go here occasionally. It is my cheat day treat usually. The staff here are friendly in my experience and they remembered my order preference after being in a few times. Price wise they are about the same as getting specialty coffe here in town starting at about $5.50 and you can add things like protein, vitamins, and energy stuff for about a dollar each. You do have to be careful about getting the sugar in the smoothies. They are quite sweet even without the Taurine or whichever sugar they use. From what i have seen and been told from when they were in town the first time, the fruit isnt fresh. They also will add in things like vanilla. From what I can tell they have been upfront about whats in the smoothie if asked since things like distilled water and vanilla arent on the...
