Lily Pad Cottage — Hotel in Sturgeon Bay

Get ready for a real treat. Perfect location, situated right on the water and close to downtown Sturgeon Bay. Fish right there at the Lily Pad or fish at any number of other nearby spots. Great food right around the corner - tons of options. As for the living quarters, it's a very private location with an incredible view of the bay. Everything is very new - nice appliances, comfortable furniture, great mattress, perfect for two people. Nice deck where we had meals outside. Quiet location with quiet neighbors. Alisa was so nice and extremely responsive. She was also available with an answer to a question, and with local recommendations. The coffee was delicious (thanks!) and it was nice having a recycle bin behind the building because we always have lots to recycle and I hate lugging it all back home to recycle everything there - nice to have one on the premises. Great wifi, easy setup for access to all of your own personal streaming accounts via Roku (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.) - a DVD player too. Can't wait to come back - we would stay here again and would totally recommend the Lily Pad to anyone looking for a great Sturgeon Bay location. You just can't get any closer to the water than in this little cottage. The owner has thought of everything - even beach towels!! Great for those of us traveling by air from far away. Great communication and quick to respond. We had trouble locking the cottage on our first night when leaving for dinner. Alisa was kind enough to make sure the cottage was securely locked while we were gone and let us know she had gone over to take care of. Even though she is next door you wouldn't know unless you made an effort to meet. Prada, the poodle mascot is adorable and friendly and if you aren't a dog lover you won't see her. Ask and she'll be over for some petting! The remodel of the cottage is lovely with plenty to cook, comfy chairs in and outside, bed is great-first time in a rental I didn't have a back ache after the first nite. Just all around fantastic. Our stay at Lily Pad Cottage in Door County was absolutely wonderful. The cottage is cozy and comfortable, offering an amazing view right on the water of Sturgeon Bay. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and convenient stay. The host was very responsive and attentive, making the experience even better.

The neighborhood is quiet and safe, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. A standout detail was the showerhead—truly amazing and refreshing after long days of hiking and driving. The bed was comfortable, and we had no issues with the heat or appliances. The cottage’s clever storage solutions made the space feel even more inviting and organized. It was spotless and well-maintained throughout.
