My wife and I love to go to Lawlss on almost biweekly basis, and we would argue that it is the best coffee house in DoCo, providing a wonderful atmosphere, a great variety of seasonal coffees and drinks, and some absolute staples done with high craftsmanship and skill, with excellent sourcing of beans, and the roasts that they are able to perform.
We will continue to come back and are so happy to have it be the place in Sturgeon Bay.
My only suggestion would be, to improve the hospitality and friendliness of the baristas; I understand if it's busy and there is a high demand but I also have worked in hospitality for 25+ years, and there have been more times then not, where different baristas over time, lack customer service and are not friendly. Good hospitality goes a long way. You can definitely draw people in for the product you offer, but if you want to have people keep coming back, there has to be improvement in rapport, respect, and relationship building.
Management: Set the standard and take accountability of yourself and your staff. Sharpen these tools, and Lawlss will continue to grow exponentially even further in their product and margin.
Thanks again, and I look forward to continuing business with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLawlss Coffee is an ideal 3rd wave coffee experience! They have great equipment, coffee, and people. The interior is an old bank, and you're able to dine inside of the vault! The staff are well-informed baristas, and the coffee is fabulous.
I ordered two items: Cappuccino and Smoked Mocha. I was going to get the cold brew, since it's made in a Yama tower, but they were not able to use them at the time. It seems the health department has new rules surrounding cold-brewing coffee, and Lawlss is working out a solution with them that will allow them to use it. However, I wanted to test the product as it's meant to be enjoyed, so I opted out of cold brew.
Cappuccino: Wonderfully textured, with a bright espresso made with their house blend.
Smoked Mocha: A well-textured mocha with a smoked sea salt. The mocha sauce is not too sweet, with the bright espresso bringing out a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn our way to Fish Creek we decided to scope out a couple unique coffee shops along the way. Lawlss was definitely off of our route but I was excited to give it a try. The coffee is 5/5. Definitely smooth and delicious. I was excited for new drink options and thankfully they offered dairy free milk.
The service is 2-3/5. If Iām going to pay $16 for coffee can I at least get a smile? If youāre having a bad day can you at least pretend to be friendlyā¦? I asked the barista how she was doing and how her day was and she seemed beyond irritated. There was one person at a table and nobody in line. She was in a hurry to get me outā¦while I was excited to be there and try the coffee. Again, we all have bad days but it was more attitude and annoyance. Because of this and I wonāt be back.
The high priced coffee with attitude is a...
