We were in the middle of moving and didn't feel like driving now than a couple miles for a room so we booked a room here. Big mistake and they lie regarding amenities. My husband could barely take a shower as the shower head was aligned with his, he's 5'9! My teen son couldn't take one at all because he's 6ft tall! The room we stayed in was very outdated especially since it's now owned by Wyndham. The rooms was not very clean and one blanket had stains on it, which we pulled off and my son brought in his sleeping bag. Breakfast - there was nothing, not even a packaged muffin which we were looking forward to something, even a piece of fruit - they need to update their description online and take that out of amenities. We asked the desk guy and he just shrugged and said "we don't offer it today". Lesson learned - never stay here again. We have stayed at various hotels, mainly La Quinta because we have dogs, and guess we should've drove to Alpharetta or further but we were in Buford, in the middle of move to another state & very worn out plus needed to be at house for when movers arrived. I do not recommend staying here as it was not welcoming from the beginning. The employees were locked in the desk area too which doesn't give a friendly and safe vibe. #LetsGuide #outdated #hotelinsuwanee #SuwaneeHotel #Buford #Suwanee #SugarHill #Wyndham #NoBreakfast #Amenities #dirty...
Read moreWe stayed at the Super 8 motel in Suwannee, Georgia over the weekend because a previous hotel arrangement got messed up. We called ahead of time to ask if the rate for the rooms were the same as online ($65/night for 1 room, 2 queen sized beds). The service personnel said yes, so we said we would be arriving in 2 hours. We got there and the desk person asked how many people would be staying with us, then he got angry that we didn't tell him we would have 3 adults and 2 child, even though online it says the maximum size for the room is 4 adults. He said it would cost extra for the two extra people. We asked how much the total would be and he said $150, but then it turned out to be $158. Exhausted and frustrated, we just took the room. The room was ok like any other motel, but for a non-smoking room, it smelled like smoke a lot. We stayed there for two nights, and after the first night, the desk person saw us leaving to go out and asked if we were checking out like we were stealing things. I didn't come visit from 4 hours away to come stay at my motel room. The service was frustrating. But the rooms themselves- it...
Read moreThis hotel allows smoking in many rooms. The smoke comes right through the walls. Even though this room is a non smoking room, the smoke from the room next door, which is a smoking room, comes right through the walls and vents. Our room is as smokey as the room next door. The bathroom actually has smoke you can see when you open the bathroom door. All our clothes smell of smoke, and my throat is sore. My daughter is coughing.||||When we called the front desk to complain, the manager said he would come and check the room out. He never showed up. I am handicapped, so I cannot walk the steps to the second floor. The manager refused to give me a room on the first floor, so we were stuck with this smokey room. I went to the room on the other side of the "smoking room", and they are experiencing the exact same thing.||||To my followers:||||Very poor motel. Don't be fooled by the inexpensive price. If you do not smoke, stay away from this motel. The owners could...
