This is a very new restaurant in suwanee. Good service with mostly private booth seating. I wish more restaurants did this. I have tried many Korean Chinese places in Atlanta and in Korea. I have been here twice now. The food here is hit or miss by dish. Some are good, some are disappointing. good but the recipes are a little different than other places. So for people claiming this is the best or worst place, I can say it will just come down to personal preference on each dish. There is a heavy use of bell pepper and onions in several dishes. It may not taste the same as your favorite place. Fried dumplings were good. Tang su yuk was good, crunchy and juicy, but the sauce is sweeter than most places. Empress chicken was good and had a complexity in the spice that I found enjoyable and the meat was juicy. Jajang meun has improved since the first time. The mapo tofu was disappointing and unrecognizable as mapo tofu other than having tofu in it. It hasn't replaced my favorite restaurant but it is much closer.
I look forward to trying some additional dishes and updating my review after a few...
Read moreFirst time here for weekend lunch. Great service. Friendly server. Food amount/portion size was better than most other places. Noodles in non-spicy seafood noodle soup looked like homemade chewy type. Tasted very fresh. There was actually a decent amount of seafood unlike other places we've been to. Big octopus too.
Seafood stir fry was decent amount. I just didn't like the rice underneath. I like my rice in a separate bowl. The corn starch sauce was a bit too thick and got cold quick with the air blowing. Taste was good. Not too salty. Price was a bit high. However, the variety of items in this dish is amazing. There were also little yellow ginkgo nuts in the dish as well as sea urchin, squid, octopus, shitake mushrooms, bamboo, etc.
Overall, around $20 per person. Food quality and amount is good though. You also get a few basic complimentary Korean side dishes.
We would definitely come back for the seafood noodle soup. This place was way better than the Fung Mei...
Read moreDid I come to a different restaurant? Where are all the 5 stars coming from? I have absolutely no idea.
The only positive thing about the restaurant was that the wait staff was friendly. However, I came for great food first. We order jja jang myun, jjampong, fried rice, and kanpoongi. Unfortunately, not one was good in my opinion. They were all so bland. Just simply no taste. I am really sorry to tell you but, it had to be the worst Chinese food I've tasted. And I've been to many Chinese restaurants, especially owned by the Chinese-Korean people.
I am really writing this review, not for this owner to go out of business, but because I want them know the honest feedback so they can hopefully improve. I would feel bad if they went out of business. So I hope the owners would take my negative remarks in a positive way and be successful.
But for tonight, I have to stick with 1 star.
Oh... one last thing. I guess it's important. The prices is way...
