My recent stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Suwanee was a complete disaster from start to finish. I wish I could give negative score here. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with the overall experience and the lack of professionalism displayed by the front desk personnel.
First and foremost, the front desk personnel were not only unprofessional but also downright rude. They seemed to rule the place with poker faces, showing no willingness to assist or accommodate guests. Their lack of basic courtesy and customer service skills was appalling, leaving a lasting negative impression on my stay.
To make matters worse, the room I was assigned was nothing short of a nightmare. The mattress was visibly dirty and had a repulsive smell. It was evident that proper cleanliness and hygiene standards were not upheld. Despite notifying the front desk about the issue, they showed no interest in resolving the matter or even considering a room change.
The fact that they did not offer to change our room, even after witnessing the unhygienic condition, was absolutely unacceptable. It is baffling to think that a reputed hotel chain like Marriott would allow such negligence and disregard for their guests' comfort and well-being.
Realizing that continuing my stay at this subpar establishment was out of the question, we decided to book another hotel. We were fortunate enough to find an alternative accommodation nearby, which exceeded our expectations in terms of service and cleanliness.
It was only after securing a booking at another hotel that we were able to negotiate a refund with Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Suwanee. The fact that we had to go through the inconvenience of finding another place to stay and dealing with the hassle of obtaining a refund further added to our frustration.
In conclusion, my experience at Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Suwanee was nothing short of a nightmare. The unprofessionalism displayed by the front desk personnel, coupled with the dirty and unpleasant room conditions, made for an extremely disappointing stay. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere for accommodations. The level of service and quality provided by this establishment falls well below the standard expected from a...
Read moreTotally disappointed in this Marriott branch. Rented it for leisure and to spend time with my friends. The room I stayed in patchwork was noticeable. the big mattress obviously had to be flipped on one of the beds. We absolutely got no sleep as the bed was so uncomfortable thought it was myself so I switch with my friend halfway through the night they complained the same. Breakfast was horrible especially for my lactose intolerant daughter,as they only served prepackaged cold boiled eggs, milk and yogurt. Having to skip breakfast and go to brunch was not part of my plan. While they did have grabbing GO bags for breakfast those are poorly staged as were full of snacks like items not very breakfast like, not to mention they were only a few so if you're not used to getting up at 6:00 a.m. to eat breakfast you better be if you're staying here because by 9:00 everything was gone. And I'm in late breakfast either but breakfast was still set to be served for another hour and a half . Swimming is the biggest pastime for me and my friend and we did not enjoy the pool at all. I am my other friend did not even get in the pool the water was cold the pool is not heated as I was told and the room temperature was not at allas warm as one might suspect for a poor room whether the water is heated or not.. so I thought to just enjoy ice cream with my friend. Think again! By the time on take out digested our ice cream was melted. Freezer did not work at all. The coffee pot setup was for a one cup but yet we had regular coffee packages. Didn't know what was the reason for that. all in all I would have liked to speak with the manager in regards to my stay and was asked to be contacted and as of yet no one has contacted me. There are at least three more hotels on that same strip. The Marriott did not uphold their persona...
Read moreThis Courtyard is....weird. I travel for work basically every week, and am pretty loyal to the Marriott brand - point being, I've stayed in many a Courtyard. I stayed here one week for work and it started with a lengthy check-in process that included taking a copy of my license. Apparently this is a city ordinance. The pool was closed for "maintenance" (and still is 2 weeks later per my colleague), the place smells musty, one of the elevators was out of order - just didn't feel maintained. The rooms are ok, on par with older Courtyards. I did get upgraded to one of their suites and it was HUGE so that was nice.
The gentleman who was often at the front desk is a little over enthusiastic. He seemed to be listening to conversations my colleagues and I were having. The location is on a side road with not a lot of amenities, but is a little quieter than some of the roads it connects to so that's okay by me. There is currently construction on the road which makes it a little inconvenient to get in and out of.
The week after I stayed I decided it wasn't the place for me and I booked a room across the road at the Fairfield. It wasn't until I had checked into said Fairfield the following week that I realized I had double booked myself. I called them to explain the situation and the woman I spoke to was completely unhelpful and unapologetic. She kept putting me on hold to go ask her manager the questions I was asking her, and ultimately told me they were going to charge me for one night, basically the cancellation fee. I guess I get it, but I've just never had such a negative experience with any of the Marriott branded hotels and am disappointed. Will not...
