Two-story style motel--about 20 room's Each room has a different style/ small parking lot --Staff friendly Office is down front to the right 👍 Remember: this IS Bear 🐻 Habitat/ Don't leave Any food or trash in your car 🚗 (you can spray your tires with apple cider vinegar or pinesole or a man's urine just saying. 3-4ams mostly) Lighthouse shopping center/ CVS, Safeway & more stores--within walking distance (two minutes). On the left side is the boatworks Mall & a few other restaurants down at the lakefront... A nice walking trail that goes quite a ways and it's the views are amazing and stunning. However if you go out at night to walk your dog be mindful that there are 🐻 bears... I experienced two encounters(3-4am) One taking our 🐕 out to piddle/ they're open the car door and take out a pack of donuts thank God he didn't damage the inside... Friendly info 🙂🙂

Recently stayed here and skied at Palisades, only 10 min away. It was a great hotel, with amazing service and workers. Great location and an amazing room with perfect vibes. Very clean and cozy. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to a pipe being broken. They informed us and personally relocated us, with our permission/knowledge, to another hotel with no complications and refunded us for the nights that were cut short. Stayed in room 6. Snow storm was occurring while we were there and they had snow plowers coming in to clean so we could drive out and one of the workers provided us with a scraper for our car windows. Highly recommend and we will be back next season!!!!

Overall, it was a decent stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. Unfortunately, I did run into an issue. I was in room 29 and after being out doing some sight seeing, it was quite hot. I turned the A/C on max and it simply didn't work. Just blew regular air. It was too late to get someone to come look at it or switch rooms, so I just dealt with it. I would stay here again, but I would check the A/C unit as soon as I checked in next time in case there were any issues.

Honestly would give this place 4.5 out of 5. Since cannot give half stars on google review, I’m rounding it up for an overall wonderful experience:

I went with a group of friends in July 2024 and stayed in their Deluxe Family Suite. I don’t have photos without people in it but I’ll describe the room! So the room door is right attached to the parking lot, so short walk! The parking lot is not that big either. Once you enter the door, you see two bunk beds, so 4 beds basically. They are relatively short bunk and very sturdy. In that same area, there’s also a pull out couch and a tv. Then, there’s an entrance to a very big bathroom area with jacuzzi, toilet, large double sinks, shower with glass door. One bathroom. Then there’s a smaller room for one king bed. The room can definitely sleep 7 people comfortably.

Pros: If you want to bring a group of friends and like the idea of staying in one room, this would be perfect! If you like the idea of having more space, then this might be too small for you. At that time, this was the cheapest hotel nearby. Maybe prices fluctuates but for the cheapest hotel we could find, it was really great! One of my friends went the year before and she said it’s been renovated and much better now; so if you came in the past, I think things have changed now with the renovation and you might want to give it a try again! Walking distance to water area, food / breakfast places, a cruise ship is right there also. We booked the Tahoe Gal but it was cancelled a few hours before we could go for maintenance, otherwise this is pretty exciting to be able to just walk a few short minutes from the hotel to take that 2 hour cruise around the lake. Pretty bummed when the cruise (not affiliated with Boatworks I think) cancelled. Short drive to other fun places too! Dog friendly! Friendly staff but very busy. They are relatively chill, fast, and friendly. Very busy because the place was sold out the time I went.

Cons: If you’re going with a group of people that do not feel comfortable changing in the open, this might be a slight hassle. The bathroom provides privacy but can only be used by one person at a time since the bathtub and toilet has no divider and the bathroom area is divided by a glass door so people can see. If everyone is comfortable with each other there might be less of a hassle. But still, keep in mind if you are bringing a large family that there’s only 1 toilet. Interesting design. Wasn’t a problem for us thankfully. There was 3 or 4 moths that night by the lights. Thankfully I’m not scared of them so I killed them all but my friends were a little scared haha. I think that’s because of just the area we’re at. On our second night there, the parking lot was full. Thankfully there were street parking. It could be a little stuffy in there but the AC helps a lot!

I personally will...

We stayed for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). On Saturday night, we got back from skiing and there was no warm or hot water starting around 4:30pm. We waited some time to see if it would come back and we informed the front desk around 5:30pm. After confirming it was an issue affecting everyone, we were told to wait around 30-45 minutes to try again. We tried again and nothing. I went to the front desk at 7pm and they said the warm/hot water was not back yet and they were going to shut it off so guests would not try to use it (if I hadn't gone to the lobby, I don't think they were going to tell me this). We were not able to shower as the water was frigid cold and also were disappointed, since we paid extra to get the room with the big bathtub and were not able to use it. For the rest of the night, no one came around to provide an update that the issue would not be resolved that night. Next morning we tried the warm/hot water again and STILL NOTHING. The lack of communication around this issue was frustrating and I wish it was handled better (a note on the door or a knock on the door saying it would not be resolved for 12+ hours would have been helpful). I would not mind a freezing cold shower in the summer, but this is March in the middle of a big snowfall, so we were definitely not pleased with how this issue was handled by the Inn staff. We had to leave Sunday before 8am so we were not able to express our dissatisfaction in person, but I wanted my feedback to be received so future guests have a better experience in case this...

The hotel was spacious which worked for me and my five kids...... but me and my husband were so upset at the lack of assistance and help we had .. no one picked up our garbage no one brought us more towels. The lights went out twice one time it was because of the town the other was because we had the heaters on and the blow dryer on which it was freezing and our kids needed the heaters and my girls hair had to be blow dried .. sooo ya I needed all that on. I couldn’t get ahold of the owner fast enough to get help. I was gna leave early but then I decided not to and she refunded my money but then charged me again so I had to look for a bank to transfer money into my checking cause I got money tookn I needed. There was no cable WiFi was horrible !!! The room had a door in the room that went to the front desk back area that locked from the inside but someone had a key from the out side and my kids and I did not feel safe the second night we were there we heard people in there laughing and talking and walking around till 4 am in the morning they could of brought me dang towels or took my trash! I’m so upset at this hotel and I wish I could have my money back I will never ever go back there and I do not at all recommend this place .. the area was gorgeous but the hotel :( was horrible .. DONT waste your money I don’t know how people are giving...
