We booked a sailing trip for 5 on August 5th, 2020. The governor mandated that face masks must be worn in public and social distancing be maintained. This business decided to knowingly break the law and only advise their guests on wearing masks. As we were about to board the sail boat we saw a second large group of guests boarding, all unmasked. When we politely asked the lady at the tour office if she would please ask everyone to wear masks so we could all stay safe and not break the law, she refused. She preferred canceling our trip, which our three kids were really looking forward to, rather than obey the law and keep us all safe by asking the other group to wear masks.    Read moreWe took a sunset cruise with Tim & Phoebe and office crew in June. It was a PERFECT afternoon cruise for a special occasion. The weather, temperature, sails, service were awesome! The drink selection was superb and primarily all local . I loved the teamwork the crew had in teaching their colleagues and how welcoming they seemed to be of people with specials services. They had a service dog on board and the amount of people didn’t feel overcrowded. This is a great option if you get a little seasick on a motor boat but want to see Tahoe from water! My only recommendation if you want a true sunset cruise you may need to book when sunset isn’t 9pm or a different season or the twilight cruise if offered. Regardless absolutely loved the colors and views offered at 5:30 will definitely recommend...

Do yourself a favor and book a sunset cruise from Tahoe Sailing Charters. The mountain views are incredible, and the clear water makes sailing effortlessly cool. The wind whips through the sails and takes you on a two-hour relaxing tour around the west side of the lake.
The crew has a lot of insider knowledge – whether it be the legend of the drowned hippo or the preservation of the “lady of the lake.” The captain serves as your local tour guide, while the first mate doubles as the bartender.
The marina is nestled in Tahoe City, CA and parking is available on the main road. On your way out of town stop at Poppy’s Frozen Yogurt and grab some mountain blackberry ice cream – it’s...
