Well let me tell you something — places like this are hard to come by these days. I’ve been playing golf longer than most folks have been alive, and walking onto the Tahoe City Golf Course felt like stepping back in time. Back when the game was about fresh air, a decent swing, and a good buddy to share the round with — not all this fancy GPS cart nonsense and $200 green fees.
The course? She’s got character. Quirky? Sure. A little rough around the edges? Maybe. But you know what? So am I. And just like me, this course has seen some things — and it still delivers.
The staff? Real salt-of-the-earth types. Friendly, helpful, not trying to upsell you on gloves or some overpriced logo ball you’re just gonna lose on the third hole. The vibe here is relaxed, like back when we'd sneak a flask into our Sunday foursome and call it "hydration."
Greens might not roll like Augusta, but who needs Augusta when you've got views like this and air so clean it makes your joints feel 20 years younger?

Other than that the golf course is in poor condition; especially on the east side. Their rental sets are missing multiple clubs and are in poor condition, for $30. The course also seems politically controlled by the regulars (Understanding Tahoe communities are always under siege by foul people) which isn’t inherently bad. But with that being said ,the course is a dog park as a result. Finally, for the price of $90 you would expect their to be...
Read moreOkay 9 hole course for $90(not including cart fee). I think you'd be better off playing somewhere else though. This place allows dogs on the course, which wouldn't be bad if they were on leash. No driving range & their putting green had a huge strip of missing grass in the middle when we went. Greens aren't bad, however course should be max $50 + cart fee. It would fill up the course time slots and be better overall. Better off going to greenwood, greys crossing or something else to golf during twilight for the price this...
