Attended a business meeting being held at this location. I believe it was likely booked here to make it most convenient for those flying in from all over the country.
I must say I’m “underwhelmed.” The building appears old and probably built when the airport was built—how many years ago? Doesn’t appear that much renovation has taken place. Very tricky to even find the entrance, as you have to use the Airport Departure road—-driver beware….you may miss it the first time and have to go back around, so don’t be surprised if it happens.
You enter via a parking lot and “first impressions” are not good. I don’t get the sense that much has been invested in renovations. Also. you pass by a section with seats…smoking section?? Idk. I saw several TSA employees sitting there most of day, on their phones. Doing what, idk.
I will say that, they’re investing money in replacing/repairing the elevators. That IS comforting from a safety point of view. That said, the customer experience is that you will use the Service elevators (maybe they should “dress up”‘the hallways, if you’re having customers go to the “back service areas.”). Paint, clean, remove clutter?
The nicest persons I encountered were the gentleman at Valet and the greeter as you came around the escalators. The young lady told me where to walk to the Lobby. There were two service personnel who were helpful in navigating me so I wouldn’t get lost “in the back,” finding my room. The young man, Kaiser, at the Front Desk is in training and needs a little more. He’ll get there. Definitely trying.
I did enjoy the airport view from the large room window (pics a little fuzzy). Thankfully, the Meeting Room area does appear to have a fresh look and was refreshing to see.
The hotel serves its purpose. If I have a choice , this would not be one of the Marriott’s I’d choose for my...
Read moreArrived at the airport 8 hours early after disembarking a cruise with all of our luggage. Couldn't check in for our flight until 4 hours before our flight so were looking for things to do in the airport to pass the time aside from paying for access to an airport lounge. Discovered that we could get a day pass to this Marriott with pool, gym/shower, business center access through Resort Pass for $55 per person. This included luggage storage as well. It was a short walk from inside the airport terminal to the check in at this hotel. Check in was quick, staff was pleasant and they safely stored our bags for the day. We were able to use the bathrooms and pool for the day which was great and not busy at all. The pool was nothing fancy, but it was refreshing. We were told it was heated, but it was a bit on the chilly side. Plenty of seating and loungers in the pool area. Towels are included. It was nice to enjoy some extra sunshine on the last day of our trip. Once we were done at the pool, we went to the gym to shower. The gym was a decent size for this hotel with all the basics. There was one bathroom and one shower located inside the gym. No one was in the gym when we were there and we had the shower and bathroom to ourselves. Shower room included a large walk in shower and sink. There was a hairdryer in the shower room as well as fresh towels and washcloths. There was good quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Room got pretty steamy but otherwise no issues. The bathroom was large. Both areas were very clean. Check out was easy. We got our bags and it was a short walk back to the airport check in counters. ||I was pleasantly surprised and had a great experience in the few hours we spent here. Would definitely consider doing this again in the future. They also offer hotel rooms for the day but in...
Read moreI was getting in pretty late and checking out first thing in the morning, all I want was a clean place to sleep, oh boy was I in for a surprise. During check in I requested an enhanced room upgrade that is a gold elite benefit(subject to availability) I asked if this property included club rooms for possible upgrades. I was not told that club rooms were unavailable but the agent kindly said that she would give me a deluxe king. This was fine for me and I went up to my room. Upon entering the room it became apparent that the room had not been properly clean and or that someone was using it relatively recently. Firstly there was a towel on the floor directly to the right of the main door, secondly there was another towel laid on the floor up against bottom of the communicating door, and thirdly but not finally the trash had not been taken out. The trash not being emptied is not really a big deal in and of itself as there were only a few articles in it however, it does signal that if the trash was skipped during cleaning what else was skipped? The trash not being taken out and especially the towels on the floor should be enough for one night, but that's not the end. One the single cup coffee maker there was a cup of hot water that was still hot, one of the items in the trash bin was a empty bottled water by the way. This indicates that someone was there relatively recently before I was, in my opinion this represents a serious guest safety issue. I called the front desk, the guy who answered was very nice, he apologized and asked what he could do to fix it. The bed and bathroom appeared to be clean so I told him to direct my feedback according and that I'd stay the night where I was, I was tired and was not in the mood to do anything else. Overall not a very positive experience, but it's an airport hotel so what can...
