Attended a business meeting being held at this location. I believe it was likely booked here to make it most convenient for those flying in from all over the country. I must say I’m “underwhelmed.” The building appears old and probably built when the airport was built—how many years ago? Doesn’t appear that much renovation has taken place. Very tricky to even find the entrance, as you have to use the Airport Departure road—-driver beware….you may miss it the first time and have to go back around, so don’t be surprised if it happens. You enter via a parking lot and “first impressions” are not good. I don’t get the sense that much has been invested in renovations. Also. you pass by a section with seats…smoking section?? Idk. I saw several TSA employees sitting there most of day, on their phones. Doing what, idk. I will say that, they’re investing money in replacing/repairing the elevators. That IS comforting from a safety point of view. That said, the customer experience is that you will use the Service elevators (maybe they should “dress up”‘the hallways, if you’re having customers go to the “back service areas.”). Paint, clean, remove clutter? The nicest persons I encountered were the gentleman at Valet and the greeter as you came around the escalators. The young lady told me where to walk to the Lobby. There were two service personnel who were helpful in navigating me so I wouldn’t get lost “in the back,” finding my room. The young man, Kaiser, at the Front Desk is in training and needs a little more. He’ll get there. Definitely trying. I did enjoy the airport view from the large room window (pics a little fuzzy). Thankfully, the Meeting Room area does appear to have a fresh look and was refreshing to see. The hotel serves its purpose. If I have a choice , this would not be one of the Marriott’s I’d choose for my stay in Tampa.

I recently stayed at the Tampa Airport Marriott, and I have to say, it’s a perfect option if you're flying in or out of Tampa! The hotel’s location is unbeatable – it’s literally inside the airport, so you can’t get more convenient than that. No need to worry about traffic or a long ride to get to your gate, which made my early morning flight much less stressful. The room I stayed in was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the soundproofing – I barely heard any noise from the airport, which was a pleasant surprise. The room I stayed in was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the soundproofing – I barely heard any noise from the airport, which was a pleasant surprise. All rooms come with a small fridge and coffee machine, but there are no microwaves in the rooms. However, there is a microwave located in the area with the ice machine on each floor, which was convenient when I needed it. The bathroom had plenty of space and good water pressure, which is always a plus for me. As for amenities, the hotel offers a nice restaurant and bar, which was great after a long day of travel. I had breakfast there, and it was delicious! Definitely one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had, but keep in mind it’s not included in the room rate. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in/check-out was super smooth. The only downside was that it’s on the pricier side, but considering the location and the convenience, I thought it was worth it. If you have a flight out early or arrive late, this place is ideal for getting a good night’s rest without having to worry about transportation. I’d recommend it for anyone needing a stress-free stay before or after a flight!

Our flight was cancelled and we were stuck in TPA overnight. Lucky for us, we were able to get a room at this hotel. Our stay was comfortable, and the hotel is clean. The views of the airport were cool. If you are an aviation enthusiast, it's great. Also, it was unexpectedly quiet. I thought that with jets taking off and landing all the time it would get loud, but the soundproofing was very good. You could hear the planes at times but it was at a low volume and not disturbing. Concierge lounge was pleasant, if small, and the staff were excellent and attentive. Breakfast was very good. Nothing fancy, but good. The most important advantage is the convenience. You just can't beat the convenience of being literally inside the airport terminal (there's a very short walk through a tunnel from the hotel front desk to the main terminal). No dealing with taking a taxi to the airport. No having to drop off a rental car and take a shuttle two stops to get to the terminal. No getting to the airport super early only to wait and wait. You can check your bags, come back to your room to relax, and then head over to security/gate shortly before boarding time, all without leaving the airport. If you are staying for just one night for a layover or due to a cancellation, you cannot beat this convenience. However, I wouldn't pick this hotel for longer stays in Tampa because being inside the airport, it's also isolated from the city. Finally, my one criticism is that this hotel is very dated and the furniture is in definite need of a refresh. Not a big deal. Would not affect my decision to stay there for a one night stay.

Arrived at the airport 8 hours early after disembarking a cruise with all of our luggage. Couldn't check in for our flight until 4 hours before our flight so were looking for things to do in the airport to pass the time aside from paying for access to an airport lounge. Discovered that we could get a day pass to this Marriott with pool, gym/shower, business center access through Resort Pass for $55 per person. This included luggage storage as well. It was a short walk from inside the airport terminal to the check in at this hotel. Check in was quick, staff was pleasant and they safely stored our bags for the day. We were able to use the bathrooms and pool for the day which was great and not busy at all. The pool was nothing fancy, but it was refreshing. We were told it was heated, but it was a bit on the chilly side. Plenty of seating and loungers in the pool area. Towels are included. It was nice to enjoy some extra sunshine on the last day of our trip. Once we were done at the pool, we went to the gym to shower. The gym was a decent size for this hotel with all the basics. There was one bathroom and one shower located inside the gym. No one was in the gym when we were there and we had the shower and bathroom to ourselves. Shower room included a large walk in shower and sink. There was a hairdryer in the shower room as well as fresh towels and washcloths. There was good quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Room got pretty steamy but otherwise no issues. The bathroom was large. Both areas were very clean. Check out was easy. We got our bags and it was a short walk back to the airport check in counters. ||I was pleasantly surprised and had a great experience in the few hours we spent here. Would definitely consider doing this again in the future. They also offer hotel rooms for the day but in...

I was getting in pretty late and checking out first thing in the morning, all I want was a clean place to sleep, oh boy was I in for a surprise. During check in I requested an enhanced room upgrade that is a gold elite benefit(subject to availability) I asked if this property included club rooms for possible upgrades. I was not told that club rooms were unavailable but the agent kindly said that she would give me a deluxe king. This was fine for me and I went up to my room. Upon entering the room it became apparent that the room had not been properly clean and or that someone was using it relatively recently. Firstly there was a towel on the floor directly to the right of the main door, secondly there was another towel laid on the floor up against bottom of the communicating door, and thirdly but not finally the trash had not been taken out. The trash not being emptied is not really a big deal in and of itself as there were only a few articles in it however, it does signal that if the trash was skipped during cleaning what else was skipped? The trash not being taken out and especially the towels on the floor should be enough for one night, but that's not the end. One the single cup coffee maker there was a cup of hot water that was still hot, one of the items in the trash bin was a empty bottled water by the way. This indicates that someone was there relatively recently before I was, in my opinion this represents a serious guest safety issue. I called the front desk, the guy who answered was very nice, he apologized and asked what he could do to fix it. The bed and bathroom appeared to be clean so I told him to direct my feedback according and that I'd stay the night where I was, I was tired and was not in the mood to do anything else. Overall not a very positive experience, but it's an airport hotel so what can...
